"i was told that they could not use the bake function as it would only preheat to half the temprature. This is an LG and 99% of the time constraints were waiting on parts. I went with the cheapest possible repair first which was the temp sensor. In my 12 years anytime the bake function is not working properly the first thing i check is for any heat at all which tells me if the element is out. This oven in the bake selection was still getting hot just not as hot as it should. From all past experience i assumed the element must be working as they are like a light bulb they either work or they dont. sense it wasnt the heat probe sensor that tells the cpu the actual temp the only thing left was the CPU. This unit has 2 cpus so like any person would do because how expensive each CPU is i ordered the main board first as there is a 50/50 shot that it would be the only computer board needed for the repair. Their is no way to toubleshoot or diagnose which board is bad unless there is physical damage or a hot spot which there wasnt. At this point i had charged $75 service call and $200 plus or minus $40 for the electronic control board. It took almost a month for the part to arrive. After installing it the oven made a huge improvement. Now it would get to 450 degrees instead of just 250 but still not getting to its full temp in a timely mannar. So i told them that id buy the 2nd CPU board and install it for free and if it worked they would just pay me for the part and the labor would be free. It took a month to recive because its LG and parts are not as easy to find in stock as usa brand ovens. After i installed it no improvement. At this point i relized something was really strange as there are no other parts to the bake system. After doing so research i found that this oven was built with a brand new technology only used in comercail units not domestic until just recently. Its called bro bake and i had not seen this nore had my father and we have 70 years experience between us. This Pro bake version has no bake element only an element in the wall that uses a fan to move the heat. The customer didn't even know that this oven was a pro bake style not a traditional bake model. They told me it was hard to find anyone to even look at it let alone fix it. also in my 12 years its the first time i had seen this style oven. i was honest and told them it was new to me and i donated over 14 hours and 6 trips just to figure it out and get to the bottom of it sense the frist few trips i was led to believe it was a standard oven. After finally figuring out what it needed and spending a 6 hour night taking it appart they called and asked if someone else could come repair it because i couldnt come out the very next day. This was very disrespectful to me after i had donated so much of my time to getting to the bottom of this new technology that they didnt even know they had thus giving me the impression i was dealing with a traditional oven i didnt go back. obviously they are calling asking for someone else so i say good luck. They paid 75$ for a service call $200 for 1 board and i paid for the 2nd board. which it likely needed both boards along with the new wall bake element. He mentioned that he would heat up hot stones and put them in the bottom of the oven to bake pizza which this oven is not designed to do. 550 degree hot stones in an oven thats not even turned on is gonna screw with calibration and who knows what else. I didnt give up i came back many times, donated over 14 hours and paid for 1 of the 2 parts. LG and Samsung are brand new to the appliance world and hardly anyone works on them, parts are not easy to get and they have very poor reviews. I told them from the start that i am not 100% familair with this LG oven and no one is. I learned a lot on this job and im sorry it wasnt as smooth as it could have gone. i didnt charge harldy anything asside from 1 part and $75 labor. lesson learned."
"I think if you understood that this part for your stove top was a factory order. Myoarts house didnt stock it. Once its ordered they will not refund the money. I drove almost an hour each way in friday traffic. I was given the go ahead to order the part so i did. regaurdless of shipping i still had to eat the money i paid out of pocket for the part it appeared you needed. once in a while some good fortune comes and magicly you're appliace starts working again. So not only was i out the 2 hours driving, and the $120 part, but know you want me to take more time to drive or mail you a check. I did offer to pay you via paypal and was ready to do so on the spot however you didnt want to do that. Then you threatened to take me to small claims court. Im sorry but if your stove top would have started working again before i left because of what i did youd be out $120 anyway. so this was the best possible scenario for you and instead of thanking me you want to take me to court. i think my integrity is amazing and my reviews clearly show that. i could send you a bill for the cost of the part i ordered and couldnt refund but i didnt. sorry you had a bad experience."
"I am very sorry again for the inconvenience that day. Most companies all have a 4 hour window arrival time. We like to maintain a 2 hour window because people like to plan things it’s more convenient. However the call should have been made well ahead of time. Thanks for the feed back apologies."
