Very minor problem. I was unaware of an electrical outlet cutoff in my garage which had tripped. Now I know about it should I lose power again. The technician was extremely nice and I didn't mind paying for a service call.

My experience with them went great. I just called them a few days before. They needed to swap out some old garage door opener that was not working. They got me in their schedule within two days. They arrived on time, were very careful, clean, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend them. I think their price was fair.

I was having problems with my garage door -- the previous owner installed it, and basically hacked a door from Home Depot into a space that was too small for it. It ran very poorly and there was no room to install a garage door opener. This is in a smaller, older garage, so I didn't have the luxury of extra room like a more modern garage would have to mount the opener. SDS came out and took a look. He said he could repair it to work with the existing door, but I knew that would at best be a hack and so did he. I asked about having a full replacement and he gave me a bid for that. SDS was the only bidder that even recommended replacing it rather than repairing it. Replacing it wasn't much more than the other bids I had to just repair it, and I wanted an insulated door anyway, so it all worked out. The installer was very professional, punctual, efficient, and did a great job. The new door looks great and the tracks are mounted much better than the previous system. The opener I had purchased and partially assembled had a weird problem that he'd never seen before at one of the joints on the rail. He gave me some tips on how to possibly fix it without him replacing it with the one-piece professional rail or buying a new part. I took a grinder to the joint to smooth out a little burr that I'm guessing was a manufacturing defect, and within a few minutes it was operating smoothly. SDS was easily able to accommodate my schedule while still servicing me quickly. I'm very happy with the services I received and would recommend them to anyone looking for garage door service.

He gave me an immediate quote that was competitive with other door installers. The installer did a great job, and even fixed the garage door electric-eye sensor mounting. Sound Door Services were here promptly as promised and in less than 30 minutes were able to replace the rollers on my garage door and lubed the track. They also provided information if in the future we want to replace our doors and motors in the future. I appreciate how they were not pushy trying to sell something that I didn't need at this time but were willing to leave an estimate that in the future we can replace or repair our garage doors.
