The installation went smoothly and was on time. Jon kept in touch by phone and email prior to the installation. This is a good company, run by good people. I highly recommend them.

went well. Provider diagnosed problem and recommended alternative solutions to address our problem. This provider made suggestions that the firm which replaced the same springs 9 years ago never did. The recommendation from this provider for a set of springs capable of working for twice as many cycles as the standard springs for the same price was great.

My garage door used to stop opening and reverse itself at times. The roller replacement fixed the problem. The repair person did the whole job in around 15-20 minutes, but that was all that was necessary in this case.

They were really responsive, really good. I was really happy with them. The person who did the quoting and the rest who did the work, his name was James, and he was really really good.

I contacted Sound Door and they scheduled an appointment so they could provide an estimate and answer any questions. They were able to schedule the work within a week. They were on-time for the appointment and completed the work in the amount of time they had estimated. The installer was able to answer all of my questions and provided me the information I needed. They were very professional and I would use them again.

Technician showed up early, calling ahead to check if it was ok. Did the work quickly, and checked in when he finished. Explained what he had done in detail. Garage door operation is now much quieter and smoother, all problems solved.

Service was great. I was having problems where the garage door would stop closing and go back up as if something crossed the sensor...or it would just stop part way down. They came out to fix and noticed that the main spring had broken - I hadn't even noticed this. Fixed the door quickly and has worked great ever since.

Sound had the best deal for the price and was great to work with. I originally asked for a white door and asked if I could change the color. Unfortunately, the color change would have been a special order taking a few weeks longer. John, the owner, was nice enough to fine me a door in the color I wanted. It was actually a more expensive door, but since it was in stock and I wouldn't have to wait, he gave it to me at the same price! That's what I call customer service! Chris and James installed my door and couldn't have been nicer or more professional. All around a great experience. I highly recommend them!

I had initially signed up for a standard roller replacement. But after I signed up for that, service hadn't been provided yet, some of the rollers on my door came out of alignment and a couple of steel brackets broke. So the service need changed. Sound door was able to reschedule my appointment, come out sooner, and applied my Angie's List purchase to the price of repair. They were prompt, professional, consultative, and reasonable in price. The technician repaired what was broken, advised on future maintenance, and was very honest with regards to my needs. I was truly fearful of a large cost, but Sound provided what was needed and at a very reasonable cost. I feel comfortable using them again for my garage door needs and would recommend them to anyone who has door needs.

Jonathan answered my phone call personally. He scheduled the appointment for the next day with a 2 hour arrival window. He gave me the Angie's List deal even though I didn't buy through website. Day of service Jonathan called to let me know Technician (Chris I think) was on his way. Chris arrived, listened to my issue/reason for call. He quickly diagnosed problem, offered solution and cost (only $19.00 for parts) and set to work. Work was done quickly. When he was done he showed my what he did. Chris took the time to show me how my system works, advice about maintenance, and possible future problems. As I have an older system he also gave advice what to do if/when my springs break. My door now opens/closes much quieter and most importantly it closes on the first try!

I purchased the deal on August 4 and Sound Door responded that they would contact me the next day to set up a time. I responded with message saying thank you primarily so they would know I received their message. I had given them three days between August 5 and August 8 to perform the service. When I had not received any response by August 9 I sent them a message asking them why they had not contacted me. At this point I finally got a message with a contact number. when I called I was informed that it was the fault of Angie's List because he had not been provided with a phone number. Ignoring that, I informed Jon that I still needed the service and, even though it would be inconvenient for me to be at the site, asked him if he could fit me in next week. He then asked me where the site was and when I informed him he told me it was outside their service area. He said Angie's list had not provided him with an address. At this point I told him that I no longer cared to deal with him and that I would request a refund. He began to argue with me telling me that it was all the fault of the list at which point I told him that I was too busy to deal with him and hung up. Jon has made attempts to contact me and I have refused contact with him. I have no idea where the fault lies but would note two things. First he said Angie's list had failed to provide him with contact information and yet we had corresponded through Angie's list messages. He could have simply contacted me that way and asked for me to call him. That was how I got in touch with him on August 9. Second he stated that he was not provided with an address. I distinctly recall typing in my address when I ordered the deal. At this point it appears to me that the Sound Door representative is very good at deflecting responsibility onto someone else, Angie's List in this case. With very little effort on his part he could have sent me a message letting me know he needed an address and contact information. Instead he blamed someone else. Whether the fault is with the list, with the contractor or even with myself he made no effort to resolve the issue. Because he is not accepting any responsibility and I suspect not being truthful about the information available through Angie's list I have no interest in dealing with Jon or Sound Door.

John very promptly answered my call for service and quoted me an accurate price over the phone after clarifying my needs. After scheduling a day for the install, he arrived on time and completed the project quickly and efficiently. He charged me the price that he quoted over the phone, and installed exactly what he said he would. He did warn me that my door springs were showing their age, and that they might need repair in the next year or so. He said to call him when that happened, and also gave me a ball park estimate on what it might cost to replace them. I was very happy with his service and approach...no hard sell, and delivered exactly what he said he would at the price he quoted.

The service went well. They did exactly what the deal stated and there were no additional fees for the job. I was not home while they did the service. I had no problem contacting the company or scheduling the service.

It went well. He arrived on time. Went to work and in a short time he was finished. He said it was not a major problem, but I could not automatically open or close the door.

John was able to come out that afternoon at the end of the day. He was very knowledgeable, professional and HONEST. He performed a thorough inspection on the door and deemed everything in good working order. He pointed out a few maintenance items that would be helpful in keeping the door in good working order. Our door and opener are quite old and so I was very happy that replacement(s) were not required. I would not hesitate to recommend John and his company to friends and neighbors. He is certainly on our list of preferred service providers.

That went very well and turned out to be more expensive. I saw the damage and they did a very good job. They did a lot of work that needed to be done. I thought that they were very professional and helpful. They installed a remote motor so that I could control it from my Iphone. It was up to date. I called them once when I had questions and they were very helpful. It is still working fine.

Our spring broke Friday night so we sent messages to 4 or 5 places on Angie's List. Jon called me back immediately to schedule an appointment. He wasn't able to come out before another vendor was able to, but I am very thankful for the very fast response from him as well as his professionalism on the call.

John arrived at the time arranged for the estimate appointment. My wife and I were originally interested in getting two new garage doors with automatic door openers. Due to the construction of our home, the best option for the door openers were the most expensive. John recommended that we only get one opener instead of two, which saved us several hundred dollars off the bid. I found John to be honest and thoughtful in his consideration of our needs. The work was conducted by one of John's employees. Juan showed up on time and did a great job with the installation. John stopped by to ensure that the work was completed to our satisfaction. My wife and I love the new garage doors. Sound Door Services did a great job and I have already recommended them to several neighbors, friends and family members.

They did a good job. One came and did the assessment and promised me he would get back to me by Wednesday when it was clear it would not be happening the first day. He did call me back and scheduled the job for Thursday. A second worker came by and did the job very quickly. It went really well.

They were prompt, friendly and efficient. Could not have gone better.

He explained my options for repairing the 10-year-old garage door, then performed the services in a professional manner. A couple years later I mistakenly thought the door was broken again but the electric eye was out of alignment. He did not charge for the service call, which was very generous.

We have extremely heavy doors, original builders installed two custom doors. We felt that we received some excellent advice and direction to further the life of the springs, and roller guides. We have yet to call hem out for he follow up work. I do appreciate tat they put up a ticker as a reminder and contact.
