Description of Work: We purchased a $99 garage door tune up on Angie's List and scheduled the service for a couple of weeks out. Scheduling was very simple - although we were not in a hurry since it was simply to replace one of the small wheels on the track and perform general maintenance. The service call was set for between the hours of 1 and 3 pm - and I'm happy to say that Dave, the technician was right on time. As it turns out, the Angie's List offer was not for the type of door pins we have on our garage. However, Dave still offered the discount and charged me a bit extra for the pins. I initially thought my cost would be $99 but we added $60 t the cost. It was still well below a regular "house call". Dave was a really nice guy and had the overhaul ready in less than 45 minutes. I was impressed by the technology he used (an iPad) for my check out and that he took the time to explain the mechanics of my door. Overall, I would highly recommend Sound Door Services. It was clear that they wanted to provide a high quality customer experience.

He was very helpful, and for sure knew "the garage door business" he explained what he was going to do and how it would be done. He was here, did the job, and was gone within in 20 or 25 minutes. I had him leave me some business cards and will see that my neighbors have his information. I can even open and close my garage door manually now. Thanks, I check out Angie's if I need work done.

Description of Work: They serviced the garage door as requested. And installed new rollers. At the end of the service the garage door was much quieter than before. Unfortunately they left a mess that needed to be cleaned up. They used spray lube on the hinges and over spared to the point I needed to clean up. Also from handling the garage door they left handprints on the freshly painted exterior side.

Description of Work: At about 9pm on a Saturday night, our garage door decided it didn't want to close anymore. I called Sound Door Services, not really expecting any answer, or maybe a machine, but a real person answered and acted like this wasn't at all unusual. He scheduled an appt for 1pm the next day and even though the service wasn't exactly what was described in the Angie's List Big Deal, they honored the price anyway. The next day, the technician came out on time and immediately discovered the problem: there was no cable in the mechanism and he didn't know how it could even have been working for the 2 years we'd be in the house. He was very nice and explained the issue; he examined the other garage door (which was fine) and performed the work efficiently. I would definitely use Sound Door Services again and will consider them when we are ready to replace these doors as well.

Description of Work: My garage door was making horrible squeeling noises when opened or closed. He arrived exactly on time and assessed the problem. He replaced the rollers and lubricated parts. It doesn't make that awful noise anymore. I would definitely call them again.
