Maria House Cleaning

We have been using Maria's House Cleaning service for a few years, and have always been happy with the service. We prefer to have the same person come each time, and Maria has been very accommodating to our request. They do a very good job with all aspects - bathrooms, kitchen, dusting, vacuum / mopping, etc. They know what we want done, and jump right into it.

I have been using Maria's House Cleaning for several years now. I have them come once a month and it makes a huge difference! I have NEVER had an issue with them as they are very thorough and do an excellent job. Most importantly, I trust them. We have many valuables and I trust them to have access to our house. They are also very careful with fragile items and sensitive surfaces have never been scratched. It is the little things also like nicely placed bathroom towels, organized kitchen top items and shampoo bottles lined up.They communicate well and leave voicemail reminders. Reliable and flexible-I highly recommend MHC, it is delightful to come home after cleaning day!

Generally things went Ok, but there were bumps. In one of the early cleanings my soap dispenser walked away. I called about it but they said their maids didn't have it, I wasn't about to argue over a soap dispenser so I dropped it and bought a new one. We also had an issue with the garbage, where they put our garbage in our recycling bin. You can get fined for that in the city so I had to call and get that corrected ASAP. The cleaning itself was always just Ok. There were a couple times that they did an exceptional job but I noticed that was only after I called and said I would cancel. I will give them credit though for being able to properly use an alarm system. My last maid service kept setting off the alarm, but I never had any issues with the team from Maria. They were also very good at calling to confirm each appointment before showing up.

I have been a regular customer for a little over a year as possible. I have been consistently very pleased with each cleaning. I can schedule them by email or phone and they usually confirm the day before by phone. responding to the confirmation call by email is fine and I like that as I can not always call back to confirm. They arrive promptly on time and usually start upstairs. I can get lots of work done while they are cleaning and I do not get interrupted hardly ever. It is normally a pair of workers who are very speedy and efficient at cleaning the different rooms. They always do particularly excellent jobs in the bathrooms and kitchen area, which is important to me. I plan to continue to use Maria House Cleaning as long as I live in the house. I would highly recommend them to any young professionals, stay at home workers, or anybody looking for assistance with general home cleaning so that you can focus on more specialized projects.

When the cleaning day came, our two house cleaners were right on time and did a very impressive job - less than 4 hours to do a very thorough cleaning of a 1300 square foot home. As a result of the great quality of the initial service, I have hired them to do regular monthly cleanings.

This year I decided to have help with cleaning my house. Maria House Cleaning was my second attempt (I didn't feel the first company I hired cleaned any better than I did). Maria came out immediately to give me a quote and together we went through my house; Maria naming each task to be done in each room. It was impressive she knew exactly what I wanted Two girls showed up to the minute at the time scheduled. When they were done, I was very pleased. My bathrooms, kitchen and even the laundry room hadn't been that clean in a long time and my house has never been so dust free. I plan to use them monthly.

At first they were great however after our last cleaning I came home to the alarm going off on our wine fridge. When they were cleaning they had broken a piece off the fridge which caused the unit to think the door was constantly open. I immediately called and issued a complaint. They called me back w/in the hour and said the house cleaners knew nothing about it. After sending them pictures and asking them how to proceed so they could pay for the broken piece they responded and took no responsibility and told us it was a mechanical issue. Later that week we found the piece that had broken off neatly tucked in a drawer. I consider myself to be pretty reasonable so if they would have just told the truth and had a clear procedure on how to process an issue like this we would have been fine...after all they claim to be licensed and bonded so it shouldn't have been a big deal. Instead they protected their employees and now a $4.99 piece of plastic and a bit of honesty has cost them $120/month.

They do a great job at our house - they're prompt, professional, and the house is in great shape when we get home. The blinds and furniture is dusted, the carpet vacuumed, the tile floors mopped, the bathrooms cleaned. They do such a great job!!
