Maria House Cleaning

Maria House Cleaning had been cleaning for us for several months and I can't say enough good things about their attention to detail in every aspect. They are considerate, trustworthy, prompt reasonably priced and absolutely professional in every way. We are so sad that they do not work in the area we have moved to! It will be difficult to find someone to follow in their footsteps!

It was fine. They charged $119. We used them a couple of months after that when we got them out. The people who came out under the original Angie's List coupon were great. They did a really nice job cleaning bathrooms and things they did. I was quite happy with them. When we had them come back and we had a different crew, we weren't satisfied. Their professionalism was excellent. The price seems to be okay.

We were very happy with Maria's team. They were punctual and professional. They were very detail-oriented and also pleasant people to have in our home. It was easy arrange for the service with Maria. Her team did a very good job and we plan to have them back on a regular basis.

It was quite odd. While the three people did set about cleaning they didn't interact with me or each other to any extent other than asking me what my priorities were. And when they calculated that their time was up, they simply stopped, packed up and left with hardly a word. They spent time doing non-value-added tasks, refolding and rearranging the towels in the bathroom and rearranging my bed. The whole experience was the oddest of any one coming to my home to perform a service.

Communication back and forth was a bit challenging, but all in all the two people that showed up did a great job. In all communications, it was going to be one person coming; even via the communication the day before. Yet to my surprise, two people showed up and did the work. I took 4 hours off of work expecting one person, and since two showed up they got it done in two. All in all they did a good job.

Provider was able to get us scheduled just prior to the promotion expiring. The cleaner showed up right one time, jumped in and worked hard for four hours solid. Was very pleased and would use Maria's again!

They were good. She was thorough and walked through the house, gave us some good input on different things we were looking at. She told me how the whole thing would work and was very pleasant.

It was good. She does a great job. I’ve hired her on for regular cleanings. I have her come in once a month with 2 people for a total of 4 hours (2 hours per person). She's good at calling a couple of days before to make sure our appointment is still on. She's very accommodating with schedule changes.

Our house was in the middle of some renovations and had not been cleaned thoroughly in a while. Maria's workers did a great job! We were particularly pleased with how well the kitchen was cleaned. They did not have time to clean the entire house but what they did clean they did very well.

The "deal" was for 4 hours of 1 cleaner or 2 hours of 2 cleaners. Two cleaners appeared at the mutually agreed time. I was not initially concerned because I still figured that they could get a lot of the required cleaning done in 2 hours. We showed them what work needed to be done and they started. 2 hours in and they had barely finished the downstairs of our very modest sized house. Maria appeared and spoke to them and it turned out that they needed to keep working (apparently our house was much in need of cleaning). And, OF COURSE, we have to pay more. The actual cleaning was, in fact, very high quality - the two young women worked very hard. However, we ended up paying much more than we had intended to, and the job took a good deal longer than expected. We would have appreciated a more cursory cleaning at the agreed deal price, instead of the bait-and-switch. Despite this somewhat unsatisfactory experience, we were happy enough with the cleaning that we tried to set up a regular cleaning schedule. However, I never received a reply to my follow-up email.

She was excellent. One housecleaner came out and I had her vacuum, dust, cleaned up the kitchen. She also scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom floors too. She cleaned the stove tray burners as well. She even got all the corners and even behind the toilet. She was very thorough and professional.

Horrible job cleaning -- actually didn't clean at all. There were dust and stains all over after they left. I hired them to save myself some time, but ended up doing all the cleaning myself, in addition to loosing a day to let the cleaners come in and out of our place. They did however return my check (without the tip of course)

They were on task, just working, and on the dot, they were out.

That turned out just okay. Two cleaners came out for 2 hours each. They did a basic housecleaning, the floors, cabinets and house. They did wipe things, but they just didn’t clean them.

I liked them very much. They cleaned my house and 3 of them came out; the mother and 2 sons. They brought their own cleaning supplies. I thought they did a very good thorough cleaning job. They cleaned the living room, dining room, bedroom and a den. They basically did the whole upstairs. They also did some shelves for me that had a collection of animals on them that we are very particular about. The bathrooms were really clean.

For a one time deep clean, they were supposed to be here between 3.5 and 4 hours. They were done in less than 2 hours. The general cleaning was okay, but for a deep cleaning, I expected more attention to details. After they left, I checked around and noticed that my small kitchen appliances weren't that clean. They could have been wiped down better. I touched the shower tiles in my bathroom and they didn't feel that clean either. The stainless steel trash can in my kitchen I don't think was even touched, I expected the outer surface to be cleaned. There was a monitor in the guest room that still had dust covering the base. For having paid $240, I just expected a lot more. For the service that was performed, I would have been satisfied if I paid $120.

The couple who came were really nice, they arrived on time, but they spoke very little English. Thus, if you wanted something done that wasn't in their limited vocabulary you were out of luck.

LIght language barrier with the cleaners. Maybe I wasn't clear, but maybe it was the language barrier. Nice folks, but focussed too much on some areas and missed others that were important to me. Generally good - was looking for a one-time deep-clean, not ongoing service.

The service went well. My husband actually arranged the service to be scheduled. We actually had them clean for an additional hour for an extra $40. I thought the additional fee was very reasonable. We even scheduled them back out to clean again. Two people came out for the service and brought their own supplies, including the vacuum cleaners. They cleaned most of the house and they did a great job with the cleaning. They did at least 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, living room, family room, entry way, an office, and 3 bedrooms. I had no problem contacting the company or scheduling the service. They even arrived to the appointment early and there were no language barriers.

My house is clean, but not deep clean; the service is also overpriced. They came when they said they would and they got the house clean, but not deep clean. The bathrooms and carpets look good, and most areas were dusted. However, after they left, I found multiple floors with caked-on dirt, because the cleaners had run a damp mop over the floor but hadn't scrubbed. My computer monitor and my desk lamp were still coated with dust, and there were wastebaskets that had a small amount of debris on the inside and weren't clean on the outside. These are just a couple of examples: nothing blatant, but the house isn't "deep clean" and isn't as clean as I would have gotten it. Thus, I had to spend quite a bit of time cleaning after they left. I did look over the house before they left, but I had expected them to be conscientious and I didn't notice all these issues until they had left. Despite the fact that the house wasn't truly clean, the cleaners left halfway through the cleaning period but demanded the payment of the full estimated bill. Thus, my cost came to $48 per person per hour, which seems very high for this level of cleaning. (Their estimate was based on them visiting my house two days prior, so their estimate should have been accurate.) Based on these problems, I would not recommend Maria Cleaning Service. If I had been looking for a surface cleaning rather than a deep cleaning and the cost had been lower, or if they had delivered on their promise of a deep cleaning, then I would consider them. If you want to use them, then you should get fairer pricing, and you should make them wait around while you spend an hour double-checking their work.

I purchased for a client getting ready to sell home. My client was not impressed - said that cleaners talked on phone a lot, lots of things they wouldn't do, tried to leave early, hard to understand. Will not use for any other clients or myself.

Maria came by and gave an estimate in advance, then was prompt in scheduling and completing the work. As noted, the service was excellent. We will definitely continue to use Maria's services when we need cleaning services. Thanks, Maria and team!

I found them exceptional. Hardworking, old fashioned elbow grease. I would highly recommend this business. An amazing bargain; 4 hours of work for $112.00!?!? And they needed not one bit of supervision. Great results.
