Called to get a bid on replacing our driveway. It was fair but more than what we had budgeted. We had some other projects and Ben was able to bundle them together into a package we couldn't turn down. Ben is genuinely concerned with making the customer happy. Any detail or concern I brought up was addressed.

They did pretty good job at replacing the driveway but not other jobs. You better know exactly what you want to do before call them. They are not very helpful on design. If you want to add more work after you hired them, it could be costly.

I really liked Ben. As a new homeowner, it was important for me to have a contractor that I felt at ease with, did not push "extras" on me and listen to my actual concerns. Thank you so much for your help.

Hired Ben to redo our driveway, entry walk, entry landing, side walk and slab for backyard shed. Included a mix of stamped & brushed finishes, colored & non-colored, and an overlay of concrete on our existing entry porch. Ben was responsive to texts/calls and his team showed up on-time working full days. However, he failed to deliver a quality product and did not live up to his promise of standing behind his work. I mistakenly paid Ben most of the final payment (only withholding about 4%). The demo work of our existing concrete went smoothly. Issues started with forms and then beyond. Ben did not follow the plans as discussed and agreed on. I provided drawings and sample pictures. His team had to redo key sections of the forms. I understand at times there is acceptable variation in terms of accuracy, but when you have 12"-18" uniquely finished borders off by 2", it's noticeable. Also, the entry to our driveway included a flaring outward of the driveway as it met the street. Ben's crew didn't complete form work for this section until the morning of the first pour. His team had to rush completion as the pump and concrete trucks were waiting. Thank goodness I was home to oversee. The flaring on both sides were far from symmetrical. It would have looked horrible had I not caught the error and had it fixed. Our project required two pours. Both days had rain in the forecast. I'm relying on Ben to decide when to pour (rain or shine). He's the expert. And if it does rain, he should be prepared with countermeasures to mitigate impacts (e.g. plastic to cover). First day pour went well, completing the colored and stamped portions. I was unable to work from home on the second day to oversee the project. It rained and Ben was unprepared. Rain came down on the colored portion of the concrete that was poured the day prior, picking up small traces of color pigment running across the newly poured non-colored concrete, causing a staining effect w/streaks of discoloration. It looked horrible and Ben agreed. Also, various spots around the edges from water pooling created a rough "pitted" surface. Ben asked that we wait a week or two and see if the concrete might "bleach" out in the sun. I couldn't see how that would happen, but agreed to give it a try. Ben said if needed he would apply a surface level color stain to try to improve the situation, and would fix the pitted areas. Also, the colored and stamped portion of the concrete looked terrible, completely washed out. Ben agreed and suggested we apply a transparent sealer (at my expense). After applying the sealer, it did improve somewhat (gave it a glossy wet finish), but now it pools waters on the surface and in all the nooks & crannies of the stamping. A few weeks later without improvement, Ben came with a stain color chart. I showed Ben all the issues w/the job, some of which surfaced after the initial pour. 1) color staining 2) pitted surface areas 3) cracking - the porch entry overlay was not

I was very pleased with Ben and his team. They completed my 25 x 19 exposed aggregate driveway in a day less than estimated and it was beautifully crafted. Cleanup was great. Ben and his crew were friendly and easy to be along side. Based on what Ben did for me I would certainly recommend him.

We hired Ben and his team to redo our drive way which had been lifted up due to a nearby tree.. Ben was very nice and frank to deal with and was able to stick to the tight schedule ( had three sunny days to get the job done ) . The team did the job right to the specs and was able to clean up the site after the job was done. I would definitely recommend him for any such projects.

Ben is a very personable gentleman. Each member of his team was great and respectful. We enjoyed their interactions with each other and with us. We were impressed with the timing of each step that was taken to complete the project. The job ended up being a little more than anticipated and they took it in stride and got it done. Thank you, team! Our driveway gets lots of compliments! Having to score a little lower than originally placed. Now that it has rained several times, it is not draining as we were told it would. Had Ben look at it. He said it could be fixed and we haven't heard from him since about when and how to fix it.

They took 5 days longer to start the project. At the end he asked for 500 dollars more than the written bid. He also said he would come back the next day to clean up the mess that was made. He didn't show at all. There is an area of the new concrete driveway that is discolored. I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT. Need I say more.

I would not recommend. Sloppy, fast, overpriced. A patio and steps were installed in 2 days. Quality of work is noticeably fine, other than the horrible 5-10 degree slope to each of the 4' long steps which were poorly conceived and not agreed upon. Not a lot of common sense or decency. Trash was actually hidden throughout property- old materials were reused-wood and debris piled behind fence, the top of the fence was damaged from the crew throwing scraps over in multiple spots, near driveway and in back. BEER bottle caps were found in the site. Trash was visible sticking out of concrete. I actually pointed it out to a crewman and he covered it in dirt and walked away. Food was spilled over furniture. Tools were washed in the lawn and hardened. Countless nails were left everywhere. I was going to try and write a decent review until I saw the big pile behind my fence. Do yourself a favor and make the job super simple for this crew if you value your house.

We hired A Paradise Concrete & Construction to do our concrete patio - they were very quick and we luv it. Their price was reasonable too. I received a quote from someone else that was $1500 higher! I received the estimate the evening before, and the next day the work was complete! The owner is a very nice guy, and they do really good work.

Ben and his crew are very easy to work with. They worked around the weather forecasts and my schedule. We came up with a contract, payment schedule, and they checked for our approval before moving forward at every step. I highly recommend A Paradise Concrete for any of your concrete needs.

MY FIRST INDICATION OF DYSFUNCTION CAME ON THE 2ND DAY OF CONTACT WITH "BEN", OR PENIELR TALMOEPEA, OWNER OF THE CONSTRUCTION CO. HE'D INDICATED INITIALLY THAT HE REQUIRED A $200 DEPOSIT. THE FOLLOWING DAY HE RECANTED THAT AMOUNT & REQUESTED A ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR DEPOSIT WHICH WAS PROVIDED. NO REASON FOR THE CHANGE IN DEPOSIT AMOUNTS WAS PROVIDED. A COMCAST CABLE RUNS PARALLEL TO MY DRIVEWAY & THE STEPS I WANTED BUILT WOULD CROSS OVER THE CABLE. I GAVE EXPLICIT & REPEATED INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CABLE TO BE BURIED IN A PIPE BEFORE THE STEPS WERE BUILT. THIS TO PROTECT THE CABLE & ENABLE COMCAST TO MAINTENANCE AS NECESSARY. APC&C WORKERS REPEATEDLY MADE OVERTURES OF "GETTING IT DONE" BUT THE FINAL RESULT LEFT THE CABLE LAYING NEXT TO A PIPE STICKING OUT FROM UNDER THE STEPS. AFTER I THREATENED TO REFUSE PAYMENT, BEN WENT OUT AND PILED CEMENT & GRAVEL OVER THE PROTRUDING CABLE & PIPE, PROVIDING AN UNATTRACTIVE MOUND OF CEMENT BESIDE THE STEPS. I REDUCED THE AGREED TO PAYMENT OF $5,500 TO $5,200 BUT SHOULD'VE REDUCED THE PAYMENT BY MUCH MORE. IT COULD COST AS MUCH AS $2,000 TO BORE UNDER THE STEPS FOR INSERTING A PIPE OF PROPER DIMENSIONS FOR HOLDING THE CABLE. NO BILL OF SALE WAS PROVIDED. THE "DEPOSIT" CHECK WAS MADE OUT TO PENIELR TALMOEPEA AND THE 2ND CHECK MADE OUT TO APC&C I WOULD NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY AGAIN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

Ben and his crew did an great job. They stuck to their quote on a 24'x 36' Slab in front of garage. After a rain I notice there was not any standing water. They had to demo the existing cracked up slab and hauled off all the debris. Very happy.
