Description of Work: First call discovered a "short" when doing whatever he did. This was less than 20 hours after unit running perfectly. I know that because I ran unit the evening before. Never had any problem previously with this unit and decided to do the Angie "deal" as PM (Preventative Maintenance). Required a 2nd check at $130+ tax since he took "faulty" fuse with him. 2nd responder found two wires touching which caused the short. Since the first guy was also the first one to remove the cover and work on the unit since it was installed new in 2010 my only conclusion is he caused the short himself. Whether this was purposely or accidentally I can not be sure. But, either way, it cost me an additional $140+ and the "deal" turned out to be a "bust". Never again for Universal Mechanical or any Angie "deals".

Description of Work: The technician, Zach, performed an air conditioning service. He arrived on time. Was quick but ,I believe, thorough. Everything checked AOK. I purchased this as a non-special and paid a bit more but I had used Universal prior and trust them for the A/C and furnace service.

Description of Work: The service provider called me in few days after I purchased the coupon. we scheduled a date after confirming the work to be done. When the service person came to service he was not able to perform what was confirmed. I end up cancelling the service.

Description of Work: It took the technician less than 20 minutes to do the job, he did not take the burners out and clean them. When I ask him why he is not doing that he said he could tell by knocking on shelf below and looking at the flames. The burners had not been cleaned since February 2010 and I thought that was part of the deal. The Technician then spent another 20 minutes in his car in front of the house preparing a proposal for a new furnace which he later send to me via e-mail.
