Rhett came out promptly to do a general overall checkup on furnace. He was very friendly and professional. He did find out that my electronic air cleaner was not working and that a part needed to be ordered. The company provided an estimate of the part and labor for the air cleaner. I chose not to go with their estimate since it was extremely high compared to another quote that I received.

They responded promptly and courteously, described the process effectively, scheduled and stayed in touch, appeared on time and efficiently completed the work and then took extra time to convey all the important information and future considerations in a concise manner. Rhett came this morning. Running a little late he called me before the appt time to let me know. Showed up with everything needed and went to work.He was willing to let me hang and watch and learn and answered any and all tech questions I had.Everything came out OK. He even hooked up the fan control that hadn't been originally done. Based on the year of the furnace Rhett said I didn't need another inspection for a couple years.Gave me guidelines about filter changing and vent management. I would totally call Rhett again for maint/service needs. Completely satsified.

I used them on an Angie's List Big Deal. Even though they were late they gave me a call to let me know that they would be late. When the technician showed up he was professional and courteous and let me know there was an installation issue with the furnace. He encouraged me to call the original installer to let them know that it needed to be fixed. I was really appreciative of that. He was not pushy and he suggested some other services which were completely fine. I will use them again in the future.

Rhett arrived exactly as planned and was very professional. He answered my many questions while performing a thorough inspection of my gas furnace and water heater. He also replaced the furnace filters as part of the service. Rhett also gave me a candid appraisal of the condition of my system along with recommendations for future service. I was very pleased with the whole experience and will definitely use the company again.

I was emailed an Angie's Big Deal coupon on August 22 for $59 for a comprehensive Furnace tune-up/clean and check. I bought the coupon and called to make an appointment. The person I spoke with was pleasant and efficient. I booked my appointment for 9:00am on October 20. Several days prior to the scheduled time, I received an email reminding me of the appointment. Rhett showed up on the dot. He did the complete check/cleaning and replaced the filter with one he said would be more beneficial for the design of my furnace. He even reset my programmable thermostat for me. Left a report that everything was fine. I am extremely happy and impressed with this company and would recommend them to anyone! I appreciated that there was no "up-sell" as happens with some companies.

This was an Angie's List Big Deal. I almost missed the deadline but when I called, they were able to schedule a technician to come to the house right away. He arrived on time, was very professional, explained the different part of the furnace and told me it was in very good shape. He checked everything, replaced the filter and left no mess. Even though the furnace was off for the summer, I was happy that I had it serviced so that when I turned the heat on for the first time this fall, I knew it was all working correctly. I would hire this company again.

The company called to warn us they might be a half hour late, but it was only about 10 minutes and not a problem. We appreciated the warning, nevertheless. Rhett was very nice and professional. I asked questions about what we should do to maintain the system, and I received clear instructions and the reasons for keeping the unit clean. Rhett also kindly removed a hornet nest from the outdoor portion of the system which we did not know was there. A good experience, and we would use the company again.

I called to make an appointment. The service man arrived right a few minutes late (only 5 or 10), which was no problem for me, but he apologized for being late. Rhett was very professional and friendly. He took time to explain how the furnace was working. He made a few suggestions to improve the air flow. He put in a new filter, showing me how to position it better than it had been. He cleaned out around the furnace. He said the furnace was quite old, but there was no need to replace it just yet. No additional costs, no hidden gimmicks, just good honest service! When the time comes to replace the furnace, I will call Universal to take care of it!

Using and Angie's List coupon, I scheduled Universal for a maintenance service. Scheduling was very easy and the appointment was set within a week of my call. Rhett, the serviceman, was polite, professional, punctual and informative. Unfortunately he found that my furnace had a cracked heat exchange. He showed me a photos of the problem and explained how this may have happened. He also advised me that the greatest risk of not fixing it was a CO2 leak, but since I already had a CO2 detector, it was not urgent that I fix it right away. I opted to have the heat exchange replaced. He informed me that the part was under warranty and provided me separated quotes for the labor to replace the heat exchange and parts & labor for replacing the intake vent grate. A few days later another technician came and did the work. Everything came in on budget. I was advised that there would likley be a slight smokey odor when I tfirst urn on the this winter. I am very pleased with the service I received and would definitely use Universal again.

Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and would highly recommend these folks
