He showed up on time. He was very efficient and called a company representative when a warranty issue came up. He checked the Freon level and the performance of the unit. He heard a growl in the interior fan motor we hadn't really thought was a big problem but once he mentioned it we could hear how loud it had become( didn't make that noise when it was new). He is currently finding out info on replacement of this fan, which should be covered under the 5 year warranty. We hope to use this company to do this work. A great bargain for the price.

I purchased a Big Deal for a furnace cleaning and tune-up. The technician arrived on time and took care of the furnace tune-up. After it was completed he discussed that furnace with me to let me know of issues that could potentially arise in the future with an old furnace. He did not try and sell me something I didn't need--just did the work, discussed things briefly with me, and then left.

Rhett was very knowledgeable and noticed a couple issues never seen by other service providers. He was able to take a pictures to show me the exact problems. Will get them to fix the problem at a future date.

While they were booked up a couple months in advance for a tune-up, they were worth the wait. Rhett called to say he was going to be 10min late. How courteous! He answered all my questions and was fast :) I would definitily use them again for my heat pump tune up.

I had an 8 - 10am window and the technician showed up promptly just after 8am. Very punctual and convenient for me. He spent about 20 minutes examining the furnace and allayed my concerns about a very small amount of ash in a few places around the furnace exterior. Though the work turned out to be just an inspection and no problems were found, I still felt that the price I payed with the coupon I got ($59) was reasonable for a house service call. When someone tells me there is a problem that I need to have fixed and I'm not an expert, I may wonder if they are just getting more work to bill, so it's always nice to have someone say "everything is fine" and nothing needs to be done.

I couldn't have asked for better service. If I need any furnace service in the future I will definitely use Universal Mechanical Service Co.

wood stove it was the weekend, we had to use our wood stove for heat for 3 days until a mutual time could happen for the repair. It was inconvient ], but we survived and its fixed and not the repairman's fault . We are thankful it's fixed and that we had a wood stove to use. The repairman was very professional and thorough in his approach. thanks

Great. When I called to schedule, it was easy and quick - we found a date about 2 weeks out (can't remember exactly when I called). On the day of, Rhett was on time and went right to work. It took about half an hour, and then he gave me a written and verbal report. Suggested a couple of ways to make the furnace work more efficiently, but also said that it's ok as it is. We'll call Universal again next time our furnace needs anything.

The service provider showed up on time...and called ahead to notify me of his expected arrival. I bought this septic tank servicing as part of an Angie's List Big Deal, but was disappointed to find that I had to wait a few months before I could have someone come out...that might just be what they do for people who bought the Big Deal.

It wasn’t outstanding in any way because it was a relatively simple cleaning, but they’ve done a great job in the past and they did a great job this time. The technician came out and did his job well, and he cleaned up after himself well too.
