The service provider was prompt and knowledgeable. He found two concerns that I was aware of and one I didn't know about. The provider made a serviceable fix that would hold us for now however recommended a furnace replacement in the near future as a complete repair of our 24 year old unit would cost almost as much as the install of a new one. |I had expected that replacement would be advisable and we are awaiting Universal to get back to us with an estimate of the cost and time of install.

Maintenance, but also offered good advice on current furnace.

Showed up on time and did the work as promised. I do not remember the date or cost, but it was very fair.

We did not use this because we need it done right away. Asked Angie's List for a refund.

Original appointment was cancelled by vendor. They called the morning of the appointment and reported the tech had gone home sick. The earliest they could reschedule was a month later. The morning of the second appointment, 20 minutes after the scheduled time, I had not had any confirmation call that they were coming or a call that they would be late. I called the company and found out they were running late. The tech arrived and was professional and efficient. He answered all my questions and completed the job in the estimated time. If they had not cancelled the original appointment & arrived late to the second appointment, I would have given an "A".

My old furnace died and due to the subfreezing weather, I wanted to get a replacement as soon as possible. I called a few places, but only UMS was able to come out, estimate and install a new furnace that very same day. They weren't the cheapest bid, but I was impressed with their speed and obvious competency. Total time from cold calling them to having my new furnace in place and working was about 10 hours. This included some work to reroute vents for the new high-efficiency heater and installing a new thermostat. Very professional, very fast. Good show crew!

Rhett was very punctual, professional and helpful, as usual! He checked and inspected both the furnace and the water heater, found and showed me indications that our gas water heater needs replacement soon, provided an on-the-spot cost and schedule estimate for gas water heater replacement, and also sent an electronic copy of his Tune-up evaluation via email, shortly after work completion. I would highly recommend Universal Mechanical Service Co!!!

Went well. Optional vent scrubbing was 25 per duct and at 12 ducts that was quite steep so I opted out. My service was on a special coupon through herald net. I don't think I would have done this if there wasn't a special. PS In order to attach their system vacuum a hole has to be cut in the main ducting directly above the furnace. My furnace already had one but if it didn't there may been an additional charge. They also use your electricity to power their vacuum so part of the total cost is hidden in your upcoming electric bill.

Provider finished the service very fast so don't know whether this is how it goes. No issues.

The service technician arrived on time and was very professional. Several weeks prior to our appointment our thermostat stopped working. I called the heating/AC company that originally installed the heating unit for advice and they were not at all helpful. When I called this company they immediately gave me their lead technicians cell phone #, which I called and left a message. He immediately called me back and walked me through what could be the issue...all this without having paid them a dime. I was very impressed.

A complete cleaning and servicing of my gas furnace and electronic air filtering system. Rhett was amazing. I definitely would use this company again. This is my second time to have them service my heating and cooling equipment and both times all went well. They are on time, very professional, and over the top in service.

He came and serviced our furnace put in a new filter, restarted the pilot on one of our water heaters. Gave us some excellent information on the water heaters and advised us of an upgrade to our furnace filter that will be an excellent value for us.

Offering coupons but not scheduling promptly is bad service.

Contacted provider on 11/7/13 to cancel appointment due to furnace needing to be replaced. (They are not a certified servicer of our type of furnace(s) and so we had to go through another firm to replace). They were courteous and confirmed canceled.

I made the purchase and they never called me. I finally got in touch with them and they said they wouldn't be able to schedule it until December 18th, which is past the date I need it done by.

He came out at the right time. And he was professional he did a great job.

I bought the special to have my furnace cleaned and they never responded despite multiple contacts and scheduling a time for service twice

It was fine. They came out really quickly. He work met my expectations.

I had Angie's list coupon for furnace tuneup. I haven't had a check for more than 7 years so I thought it would be good to get a check. He checked the furnace and cleaned the filter. No issues found. He pointed out my ducts are small relative to the size of furnace, which create a big noise. He also check water heater and mentioned it is almost end of the life.

They were prompt, did the work as promised, and cleaned up after themselves.
