Description of Work: The designer recommended sliding shelves in places I wouldn't have though of. All in all everyone was very professional, and the results are fabulous. Description of Work: They finished a job our custom cabinetmaker bailed on, re-engineering 2 spice/baking pullouts, installing an appliance lift and installing pullout drawers and shelves in an island. Description of Work: I have a fairly new home, lots of cabinets but some of the shelf units were difficult to access the "stuff" on the back of the shelf. Liked the idea of installing shelves that pulled out as that would make it easier to access all of the "stuff" on the shelf. |Saw an Angie's List coupon so thought I would give them a try. |Purchased the coupon and sent an email to ShelfGenie. They responded quickly and we arranged a day for the sales person to come to my home. The sales person arrived on time, explained the different options (three styles of drawers, basic, standard and fancy, with esclating prices). |He measured the six shelves, showed me the total price for the different options and I went with the standard. The basic appeared fine, but did not pull as smoothly as the standard (did not need the fancy wood if the high end drawers). |Signed the contract, paid the deposit and scheduled a time for the installer to come take the final measurements. |The installer arrived on time, took the measurments (if the measurements are wrong he has to buy the units!) and answered all my questions. He then told me it would be about six weeks until the units are manufactured and shipped to him. |Received a call in about 3 weeks that the units were ready. Scheudled a day and time for the install. |The same installer arrived on time and was quickly able to install all the units (a little over an hour for the six units). All mess was cleaned up and the drawers work great. |Everything went well! |Just wish the units were a little less expensive, but it was worth the price for me. |

+ 3 moreAlan, the ShelfGenie franchise owner arrived took preliminary measurements and provided an estimate. He was on time, personable and very helpful regarding the shelving to be installed. The installers arrived a day later and remeasured the cabinets - in millimeters - for the best fit and ordered the rollout shelving. About a month later they returned and installed the shelving. They were all very professional, always on time and did beautiful work. These shelves are just what I was looking for. I highly recommend them. BTW they installed 26 rollout shelves and a special rollout shelf under the sink for trash.

+ 3 moreOverall, I'm impressed with their service and their product, and I highly recommend them to anyone who is thinking about adding roll out shelves to their kitchen. Beforehand, our pantry was standard fare- regular shelves, stuff piled inside, and we could never get to the back. In particular, all the baking sheets and pans were hard to access. Same problem with the lower cabinets. We can now access everything in the backs of the cabinets and pantry, and we have a LOT more usable storage space!the designer was very thorough in understanding our needs and explaining the different options. The pitch wasn't overbearing. Instead, he helped us focus our money on the areas that would give us the biggest bang for our buck. He showed up on time, was very friendly and easy going, and the project went well. the installer did a great job measuring our shelves (making our pull outs as big as possible) and installing the pull outs. He even helped me adjust the doors/hinges on ALL my cabinets as an added bonus (no charge)! The total cost ended up being more than we anticipated (though we really had no idea what it would cost). After thinking about other custom work we?ve had done in the house in the past, it?s really not bad, especially considering the quality of the product and the professional design, installation and lifetime warranty. All in all, as someone who cooks 6/7 nights a week, having the organization the glide outs provide is a big deal. Overall, I commend shelfgenie and its crew for a job well done, recommend them to anyone (this is the Seattle franchise, BTW) . I plan to have more work done from them in the future (2 bathrooms)!
Description of Work: Shelfgenie (Alan is the owner) upgraded our kitchen with glide-out shelves in our pantry and some lower cabinets. I was expecting the initial meeting to only be 30 minutes or so, but they went much more in-depth than I would have expected, asking lots of questions about how we use the kitchen. It ended up taking more like 1.5 hrs, but it it made sense when done, the more time spent up front the better the install goes. The end result exceeded my expectations. The install went smooth, in and out in a few hours; nice people all in all. One BIG bonus: we had a previous installed glide out from another manufacturer, and the installer (at no charge) quickly re cut the old one and re-installed it in some extra space in another cabinet! This act put the overall project at an A+ for me; a simple gesture went a long way (it took about 20 minutes to do this).
