Fine. But they were late and did not call. i called to find out where they were.

They did a wonderful job. They cleaned the roof and put the treatment on in a short amount of time. They also cleaned up any moss that dropped off of the roof. I will hire them again! Please note, that I purchased the best anti-moss treatment.

We thought they did a great job. Both roofs had been covered with moss when they started and when they finished both roofs looked like new. They also did a great job cleaning up. Here are a few more details: The work ended up being scheduled on what turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year. I halfway expected, Juan, the fellow who was cleaning the roof to rush through it, if for no other reason than to keep from frying. But he took his time and was very deliberate. He was working on the roof for several hours. I was also very impressed with Jeff the owner. He did a great job answering my questions, did not try a hard sell on anything. He was very honest and forthright in his responses. I had a lot of confidence that he was giving me the straight goods. I had to laugh at one thing... He talked with me at length about all the advantages of the Pyroshield treatment. In the middle of his spiel I realized he was not really trying to sell me on anything; he was just enthusiastic about his own product. I will be better able to evaluate the treatment a few years from now, but I was impressed with Jeff's attitude. I was also impressed with the fact that Jeff and Juan told me my moderately old roof was in great condition, when it would have been as easy as pie for them to have sold me other services. Here is the last little thing that I think is the most telling about this company. I had to leave before Juan finished cleaning the roof. As I was on my way out the door I noticed that there was a lot of moss that had been blown off the roof and onto a little brick balcony on the side of our house. It was not something Juan could reach with the house locked up, but it is also a tiny surface that would take me less than 5 minutes to sweep off. I did not even mention it to Juan. When I came back home Juan was gone, the roof looked like new, and there was not a bit of moss on that balcony! Juan had taken the trouble to climb a ladder just to get on to that balcony so he could sweep it off. That was impressive for several reasons, not the least of which was he took the trouble to do it in the sweltering heat. Quite a company!

Bought an Angies List deal - thought it would be cheaper, but they said I had more roof than the deal covered. Then I "upgraded" to a liquid moss prevention treatment. I will say thought that they were very professional and worked very hard to keep moss out of my swimming pool. They cleaned up everything and it was so so much better than having someone spray wash the roof (they use air). Although they ended up costing much more $$$ than I thought, based on the Angies Deal, I was quite pleased with their work. However, in their defense, I think the Angies' list deals are all designed by Angie's as a kind of bait and switch and designed so that you have to pay more either for size constraints (like who has a 10 X 10 concrete driveway on the new driveway deal?) or to upgrade. With the exception of electrical work (hourly) and wasp treatment, every every every deal has cost more than the advertised price.

The cleaning service was adequate...no complaints. The free moss treatment consisted of throwing some zinc phosphate powder on the ridgelines of my roof. The problems started after the work crew left. I noticed that the front facing of my deck where they had placed their ladder was damaged in four areas. This consisted of some gouging to the dry-vit. When I contacted Pyroshield they said to e-mail them some pictures, and they would get back to me. I contacted Jeff at Pyroshield a few days later, and he said that he had talked to his crew and they said that they had not caused any damage to my house. He also stated that dry-vit is an inferior product and is easily damaged. I responded that (1) the damage was not present before they arrived; (2) the spacing and depth of the gouges were consistent with a ladder being placed against the deck facing and (3) the damage was at the exact location of where they had set the ladder against the deck. Jeff once again stated that his crew said they had not damaged my house. We had a heated discussion and he basically inferred that I was lying about the claim. He said he would send out his lead painter and they would give me an estimate of the damages, and that they would fix the damage and SEND ME A BILL. They next day he sent a rather conciliatory e-mail, and said once again said that he did not believe his crew caused the problem and that he would send out this lead painter to look at the damage to my deck. It has been over four weeks now and I have not heard from Pyroshield. A little background information...(1) My house is nine years old and had dry-vit facing over stucco on the front side of the structure. I have noticed no significant issues with the dry-vit. (2) I am a graduate chemical engineer with a Master's degree and have taken a certified course in home inspection. I am aware of issues with dry-vit typically due to water infiltration through the facing resulting in dry rot. When properly installed (as mine was) dry-vit is a reasonably reliable product. It can be rather easily damaged since the backing is a rigid foam like material. There are many companies that do moss removal. DO NOT use these guys. The customer service I received was appalling both from the phone contact I had with Jeff and the lack of follow up. To date no one has even come out to look at the damage. The damage to my home was relatively minor...less than $200 to repair and could have been easily avoided by putting some padding against the deck. However, I was really turned off by the treatment I received from Pyroshield. Avoid a potential hassle, go somewhere else! Update: Last week (November 16) Jeff called me and said they had a guy in the area who could repair the damage they had caused to my deck facing. This was THREE MONTHS after they had cleaned my roof. I told him I was not interested since I have contacted another contractor to fix the damage. They weren't even willing to look at the damage in the weeks after I had contacted them and sent pictures.

My square footage was larger that I realised - I didn't take into account that the slope of a roof adds more square footage to what you would normally measure a house - but it only added a slight amount. I opted for the "healthier" treatment which was worth the little extra since we have a dog, kids, and plants around the house. The 2 guys who did the job were super friendly and professional. This was the first Angies List Deal I ever purchased and it was a great experience.

Their service was outstanding from start to finish. From the first phone call to scheduling my appointment and completing the job, I could not to happier. I was very concerned about cleaning an aging roof and learned air cleaning would be more gentle. Jeremy and Juan arrived right on time and worked like demons on my roof. Right from the start, I could see how much better things were going to look. All kinds of dried moss was flying off my roof. When finished, they cleaned the gutters. Yea! Just when I thought it couldn't get better, their yard cleanup was great. All done in about two hours. I would highly recommend Pyroshield to anyone needing roof cleaning. I used them some years ago in another house and was just as happy.

I paid extra for a three year guarantee on moss. About two months after the treatment I noticed large patches of green on my roof (which had not been there at all before the treatment). I called the company and was told, "That's normal around downspouts.". I told them there were multiple patches not near downspouts and they said, "Well, we guarantee for moss, not for algae.". I'm not sure what the difference is between moss and algae but in any case this was not discussed with me before I hired them, and I certainly thought I was paying for a guarantee for all manner of green growth on my rood. When I insisted, they came out and retreated the roof and the green patches have faded away. However, I have no way to know if the back side of the house is clear because I cannot see it (due to the height and pitch of the roof.). No, I would not hire this company again.

The two roofers that came out were fabulous. They came out and did a really nice job. It was a bigger job than they had anticipated, so it took them longer. That caused them to be backed up, which caused their owner to be a little bit annoyed. They still did a good job, but I felt like they were rushed. The owner was the one who made the bid, so he was the one who made the error. It was kind of taken out on the employees and on me. I'm not sure if they gave me proper credit for the Big Deal I purchased. I would not use them again. The workers were very conscientious and very friendly. I would tell others to get a firm quote and time frame and assurance that if the time runs over, that they're not going to rush to get to the next job.

They left a mess on my patio.

I had no trouble contacting the provider and I was given a service date. It was a Wednesday but the Sunday before I got a call letting me know that they could do the cleaning the next day, Monday afternoon. That worked out for me and they arrived about 2pm. It didn't take much more than 2 hours, total. Two young men arrived, both very polite and professional. They cleaned my roof and the plastic roof over my patio, as well. The roof looks new! They cleaned the gutters and raked up the debris in the flower beds. The only sign they were here is the zinc powder on the roof. That and a really good looking clean roof. (I had a lot of moss up there) I'm very glad I decided on air for the removal rather than power (water) wash. I had also wondered how noisy this would be and I was pleased that it wasn't very loud at all. I would have no problem telling friends about them and I would be happy to use them again.

Pyroshield did an excellent job on my roof. It hadn't been cleaned in a few years so there was some debris build up and moss growth and the gutters needed a good cleaning as well. The Pyroshield crew (of 2) showed up on time and were very efficient. I thought they would have a hard time cleaning up all the debris blown off the roof and from the gutters but the area surrounding our house was nearly spotless when they were finished - better than when they started. The existing moss was completely gone, even the bits under the shingles and it looked like we had a new roof. They gave us the a good deal with their Pyroshield 2000 treatment, so hopefully it will stay looking good for a while. The workers even inspected and found a small piece had broken on our skylight and took pictures for me when they were up there. Great job, thanks Pyroshield.

Absolutely no issues.

They did a great job and it was a huge job. They removed 20+ bags of debris, several times more than most roof cleaning jobs, they said. They cleaned up nicely and came back to finish clean up that they had missed because it got dark before they were able to finish on the day of the job. I was impressed with their work and professionalism.

It went fine, very professional.

Two workers showed up on time. They walked the roof, identified broken tiles and other issues that will need tending to. I bought this 30 year old house about a year and a half ago and the roof had not been maintained. Supervisor also came out and we discussed what needed to be done. I had them go ahead and replace the broken tiles (there were over 30) and now have a few to spare. I appreciated that they made recommendations but didn't try to "upsell" me. I would definitely use them again.

I bought a $379 big deal for this service and it was good. They came out two or three months after I bought the deal. I was charged for taxes and I think I also had them power wash an area so I think I paid another $150.

sidJuan arrived on time and did a great job. Even now, he is still outside cleaning up all of the debris that came off the roof. I am very pleased with the work and the care that he has taken.

I have received no refund for a job not done.

Pyroshield contacted us, worked with our scheduling constraints and did a professional job. Extremely efficient, roof looks great. Will use them again in two years.

Showed up when they said they would, did work as promised, cleaned up after themselves. I was pleased and intend to use them every year to maintain roof and gutters so I don't have to climb up and down ladders any more. It will be well worth the price.

Though purchased in early April, the next available date service date was May 26. I was not in an urgent hurry to have the work done so this wasn't a concern. I also didn't need to be present for the work being done which helped because I didn't have to schedule a day of vacation. Communication through emails was quick and responsive. I had a special request that they followed; my garage doors are painted and I didn't want them pressure washed but gently cleaned. I made sure things were moved from around the house and no cars around so the guys could work without any issues. When all was said and done I had the moss removed from my roof, roof treated, gutters cleaned, exterior windows washed with screens cleaned, my house vinyl pressure washed along with the exterior of the gutters, and the sidewalk and driveway pressure washed. The two guys were great, they cleaned up as they went and did a fantastic job with all the work I had requested. Very happy with the results. Thank you Pryoshield.
