Pyroshield of Washington

The cleaning was done with pressurized air and other than a couple lifted shingles did the job. The pyroshield treatment however was spray applied liquid and the work was done in a big hurry. The liquid leaves dark stains on the roof where the liquid product was applied giving your roof surface a very undesirable and blotchy appearance. They say the blotchy appearance will go away in 6 to 8 months - AWEFUL!

They did a good job and it was quick.

Pyroshield of Washington never performed the service that I had paid for. I am working with Angie's List to get a refund.

It went fine according to the occupants of the property. The workers were friendly. They cleaned up after themselves. i wanted some stains removed during the cleaning. Jeff said they would try but there were no guarantees since the cause of the stains was unknown at the time. After the cleaning the moss was gone, but the stains remained. I guess the stains couldn't be removed with the air pressure method that they used. I appreciated that Jeff made no promises that he could't keep.

It went pretty good. They were here the end of April 2016. It cost $510. I also had them pressure wash my deck and my fence. The workers were friendly and let me know what they were doing.

They did good work. They could have a better communication when the customer initially purchases the item. There was an additional square-footage charge and then, sales tax. The total cost was $86 and change. They were there when they said they would be. It would depend on the price if I would use them again.

It went very well, only item i found later, is they didn't ask me about the gutter plastic guard and never asked if I wanted them replaced or not and they were just left in the yard. The other thing that I was a little confused on is the invoice, my wife asked about paying them and she was told they would send an invoice. I still haven't seen an invoice except for the estimate that they gave me.

Excellent - only complaint is that their truck left and oil stain on our driveway.

Since they don't collect sales tax as part of angie's list deal, i was asked to pay it with credit card. No idea how to pay it. So i called them and made the payment over phone. They said they would send me a receipt for the payment, which i still haven't received yet.

I get it if your business is busy, that's a good thing...BUT you have to contact your patrons NOT just take their payment for your services and fall off the map. That impacts confidence...which it has mine. I'm cancelling and seeking a refund and seeking another vendor, even if it's more. It's about customer service. After the obligatory email, they didn't reach out to schedule, didn't contact, didn't return emails BUT took payment? It's been over a week now, and just a " Hey, we're booked solid. What would be a good date to schedule?" Nothing. I even wrote to them to don't even worry about an estimate, I just wanted this done, with the intent of streamlining the process. Nope, nada, zilch. So yeah, not so good.

They did a pretty good job but they were not particularly friendly and the people that were doing the work didn't seem to be customer oriented.

They contacted us a few days early and said they could do the work ahead of schedule so it worked great for us but we weren't able to be there until around when they were leaving. Overall they did great work on the roof and left our house fine. The main problem we had with the crew was that right after they were leaving we had a contractor walk-through at our house and noticed them driving up our neighbor's private driveway (which runs along side our house) with their huge truck and trailer a couple of times. Later on that evening I got an email from my neighbor saying that he got home and his trash bins were all knocked over and there was a huge mud pit in his front yard where someone appeared to have used it as a turnaround. It broke my heart to hear this because he's retired and basically spends all of his time upkeeping the grounds around his house in loving memory of his mother. I understand that the street that we live on (a cul de sac) is difficult to turn around on, but on multiple occasions I've had firewood delivered with trucks and trailers as large as theirs and I've personally parked 26 foot commercial trucks in front of the house and haven't had any problems backing in and out onto the main street. My neighbor was mostly annoyed that they didn't even leave a note or try to pick up the trash bins. I sent an email to pyroshield about this weeks ago and haven't heard any response. Anyway, if it weren't for the issues with my neighbor, I would give them an A, but I can't recommend them after the damage they caused to my neighbor.

Excellent job. I have a lot of roof debris due to trees on my lot. The crew today was amazing in their attention to detail of the cleanup. I have never seen such a good job after a roof cleaning. Would have them back in a heartbeat.

Arrived as scheduled and provided service as agreed. Professional and cleaned up debris when finished. Excellent communication with Jeff and team. I was so impressed with their service that I hired Pyroshield again to paint my house and deck.

This was an Angies Coupon and we had to pay a little bit more as our roof square footage exceeded the coupon footage. It was a minor fee considering the work they did. 2 guys came and worked for 3-4 hours straight. Very polite and nice guys. Did their work, did the cleanup and were gone.

The provider contacted me soon after I purchased the big deal to schedule service. I was pleased with the quick contact, and let them know I would get back to them as soon as I had a time frame I could commit to. Several days later I resumed the conversation and set an appointment date. The provider let me know that service for our house would cost extra due to exceeding one specification in their big deal (we have a two story house with aprox. 2000 square feet; the second story has several steepled parts of the roof that do not easily connect to the main 2nd story roof, so the extra charge of $97 wasn't too surprising. At this point, the date and price were agreed. Having just bought the house, I knew several home maintenance routines had been neglected for the last few years, so I had placed a high value on the deal`s promise that any roof damage and mitigation recommendations would be brought to my attention, and if the company had people on hand to repair damage of that type, a price to repair may be offered. The reality of this was that though the 30 year roof was relatively new (aprox. 2007), i did see a couple pieces of shingle come down when the crew was working on the service date. This was not brought up by the team doing the work, nor was any other spotted damage or recommended repair. A key area of concern for me was the Fascia boards that run the edge of the roof-line and past the end of the gutter. The ends were not shingled with the last roof job and some show signs of dry-rot. I didn't bring it up specifically because I would expect the crew to be experts in their trade, and their identification and recommendations for problem areas would be a key consideration in whether I use the company again for this type of work in the future. They missed the mark on problem identification, but did clean off the roof and cleanup the ground area after the job well. The white powder (the zinc treatment as a moss inhibitor) was kind of just thrown around on the roof, some where the rain was able to wash it away in a week, and other spots where the rain cant get to it unless it comes in diagonal under the eaves. This part of the deal wasn't handled as professionally as the moss clean-off or ground clean-up. I wasn't able to verify all work performed, as my gutters drain to an underground line vice emptying out at the base of the house. With the next big rain, though, I ended up having at least one clogged down-spout that resulted in the gutter filling up and over-flowing. This, along with the pieces of shingles that came off during cleaning that were not identified to me as to where they came from are the two main reasons I will likely not use the contractor again, but otherwise wouldn't have a problem shelling out 400-500 seasonally to clean up our tricky roof.

I paid for a Big Deal roof cleaning and they completed the service as expected. They were professional and pretty quick. The moss and pine needles were gone from my roof and gutters. I guess the only thing I didn't expect is that the white stuff they used in the cleaning stayed in clumps on the roof for a couple of months following the cleaning. It looked like I had a snowcapped roof. It rained plenty during these two months and still the clumps took a very long time to wash away. I suspect the chemicals or cleaner used on the roof that were rinsed off also made the driveway slippery (my husband fell in the driveway a few hours after the cleaning) but I suppose that could have been a coincidence - I can't be sure. I don't know anything about roof cleaning to know if this is normal or not, so just relaying my experience.

Worse customer service ever. I called about a month ago requesting an estimate on my gutters. Due to a terrible wind storm in the Pacific NW they mentioned they were behind but would send me an estimate within a week. I never got the email estimate. I called again asking for an estimate. A couple of week ago I got a call saying they were at my house and I would receive an estimate within a couple of days. I never got the estimate. Yesterday they called and said they had the wrong email address and an estimate would be sent within 5 mins. Still no estimate. I give up.

We used them about a month after the purchase. No additional costs. They broke some shingles off of our roof with there hoses. They claimed they didn't break them. I asked them if they broke any shingles and they said no. I went up after they were done and there were three broken shingles.

These guys are the best. I could not be happier with the service they provided and the great look of my house now. They responded right away to my buying this deal on Angie's List and set up an appointment to do the work. The man on the phone was obviously experienced and very polite. It is always hard to know in advance how to choose from among the many small companies that do this work, and for us it was this list that made it possible, especially the great reviews that this company gets.The team of two showed up right on time and went straight to work. Right away they noticed that we had several tree branches touching part of the roof and they cut them away with zero fuss; they did not change us for this work either. After they had blown all the leaves, needles and debris from the roof, they did a VERY thorough cleanup of our yard, not just of the roof debris but of all the leaves and other materials on our lawn and sidewalk. Again, no extra change. Later in the evening, the company rep called to discuss the condition of our roof with us and he was very professional. Without a doubt we will use them again; in fact we will probably use them to clean our roof and gutters every year from now on. Very highly recommended.A+
