Working with the Ybarra team, Daniel, Alfredo, Jacob and Jason was an outstanding experience. We had a large project flattening a slope, installing a retailing wall, cedar fence, pavers, river rock and a railing on our deck. Everything was exactly how we envisioned it and the work was extremely high quality. The team was fast and listened to all of my concerns. There was always someone available to answer my questions throughout the project. Would highly recommend Ybarra for my future projects.

Five times Ybarra Professional Builders (YPB) had to redo their own work: - YPB irresponsibly removed roof flashing and a portion of roof installed and warrantied by my professional roofer in 2016. Removal was NOT authorized, it occurred on a Friday evening by a contractor who did not speak English and the Project Manager was not available. YPB does not know the difference between effective, properly installed flashing and a cosmetic issue. YPBâ s shoddy installation had to be redone, but the result is still less effective than the original warrantied roof and flashing they removed. - YPB installed a drip edge to transition from siding to brick. This would have resulted in water entering my house. YPB suggested bending the drip edge, but bending installed metal would have resulted in a mess. The drip edge was removed and replaced with Z flashing. - YPBâ s painter improperly installed cedar siding without required under-course or overlapping foundation and using interior ONLY nails. The siding was redone, but without required expansion gap (so siding will buckle in the future). The painter was not trained or supervised and did not even take the time to read the installation instructions on the side of the box. - One 4-foot section of siding had a .75-inch slope. This was corrected by cutting bottom of siding. This section was not in the scope of work, YPB just decided to replace it. - All caulking on house had to be redone because old/failed caulking was painted over and caulked. YPB is so poorly trained and ignorant, multiple times they had to ask me what should be caulked. - YPB pressure washed and painted the same day and painted when humidity was 87%. They painted over moist wood. This will result in bubbling paint. When questioned about maximum humidity to paint, they could not answer (YPB does not care to know the basics of their profession). If I had not intervened, YPBâ s initial repairs would have resulted in water entering my house and garage. These issues forced me to stop work and deny YPB access to my property. I was forced to be YPBâ s trainer, project manager and quality assurance team. YPB acknowledged this by reducing the contract by a miniscule amount. YPB disrespects veterans. The project manager is a veteran. The General Manager said he would be held accountable for this disastrous project. However, the Project Manager has no authority to manage the work and has not been trained in his 4 years at YPB. The only policy YPBâ s workers followed was to shut off the water after they used it. This was done even though the water was on when they found it and connected to my night garden watering system. I did not notice for 6 days during the hottest week of the year, so my garden suffered or died from this lack of water. YPB destroyed my joy. If you want your roof warranty invalidated, your siding installed by a painter, the potential for water to come into your garage and house, then hire YPB. If you want to act as the quality assurance team, the project manager, the company trainer and receive 1.6% of the contract for your trouble, then hire YPB. If you want to spend weekends learning how to file complaints against a company and writing complaint emails, then hire YPB. If you want to be forced to stop work and restrict entry to your property, then hire YPB. If you want to be deceived, then hire YPB. If you want to pay 80% of the contract on day 2 of a 37-day project, then hire YPB. If you want to reach a point of submission and just not have this incompetent contractor on your property, then hire YPB. If you want to be completely exasperated, frustrated and angry, then hire YPB. Does HomeAdvisor accept any responsibility for having YPB on the approved contractorâ s list? I depended on HomeAdvisor's recommendation.

Tom was the sales person for Ybarra, and he assured me that I would love the work that his company provided. That was not correct. The supervisor was on site only twice in several days, The workers did not speak English , and the quality of the work was poor overall. They did not silicone seal the gaps in the baseboards, placed grout around the outside of the shower pan instead of silicone sealers. The installed the shower drain with painters putty, leaving a small tool taped to the underside of the drain. I had to fire them before the glass shower enclosure was installed because I knew they were not capable of doing the job. When we messaged or called the supervisor, many calls and messages were not answered. The sink cabinet was not installed properly, and the new faucet is not level. We had to argue with the workers to remove the old baseboards before installing the new tile. I know it could be much worse, but I do not recommend this company. When I messaged Tom that I did not want them to come back, he said he would be at my house in 20 minutes to collect the last check. 2-3 times Tom said he would come by to discuss what was happening and he sent someone else. I do not trust this company.

They did a great job. Luis did a great job installing a concrete walk . Jeremiah painted my house, and did a wonderful job. Iâ m pleased with everything that was doné.

I had my asphalt driveway demolished and replaced with a larger asphalt driveway. I had 4 estimates for the project. I chose YBarra after meeting with Sean the superintendent. I felt comfortable with him and I thought the estimate he gave was fair. This was not my experience with the other estimators. We are in the summer season right now and finding a spot in a contractors busy schedule is very hard! They were able to complete the project within a week from when I accepted the proposal. They did an amazing job. Sean was there for most of the work. And when he was not he checked in with me to see how everything was going. The work was completed in a timely manner. They collected all the debris and next thing I knew I had a brand new driveway! I am 100% satisfied with the work that was done. If you have a project in mind I recommend having someone from the company come out and bid.

Agreed upon timing of our paint project was 5 days, project ended up taking 7 days. There were multiple times in the project where we had to point out areas that had not been completed. The workers on the first day were supposed to show up at 8am but didn?t arrive till 5pm. On the second day the workers left for lunch at 12 and didn?t return till 4pm. Timing and communication of the project was very unprofessional. We did not get trim done but there are multiple areas around the house where paint made it on the trim and it is not an eye sore. We would not recommend Ybarra

Ari with Ybarra was amazing at anticipating my wishes and making this a wonderful top to bottom upgrade to my home. The workers are really friendly and honest, and do their best to make it perfect for you. They are not â the cheapest â but are able to move mountains for you and go the extra mile with minor changes, premium materials. If you want a positive experience and a team you can trust, hire Ybarra and talk to Ariâ he will make your dreams come true.

Ybarra completely damaged our hardwood floors, used our Dyson vacuum to clean up THEIR mess, and left hardened polyurethane on our kitchen countertops and down the slate stairwell of the front door! They sent over a manager that was rude and completely inconsiderate. They screwed up 100% of the flooring and left grooves from the sander all over the floors. To top it off, they do NOT want to accept responsibility and want to try and fix it. I would never let them in our house again. I would recommend never letting them in your house.

I was most impressed with the assigned technicians who completed our bathroom remodel. Erik Jiminez and his assistant, Angel, would explain their assignment in detail and with the help of their direct supervisor, Alfredo Lua, would order the components of the project to best fulfill our plans. Then they would insure their workload would not compete with other issues we needed to accomplish in the house. I often asked them what might be more efficient in maintaining our new equipment and that helped us decide which manufactured item would serve our needs better in the long run. Their efforts were instrumental in the success of our project.

They were a very fast and professional company providing a high quality of work. Leveled floors, hung drywall, painted, installed flooring, and thresholds etc. Restored our home faster than we anticipated. Great communication also!

They subbed out 100% of work and only collect money. They hired contractors took 9 instead of the 4-5 weeks they stated. It was bad communication and they would only come by, take a look, and didn't do anything. The actual finished work was excellent due to the subcontractors they hired.
