Sno King Appliance Service Co

He came a little early which was great. I had tried another highly recommended company but since they could not come until mid next week, I was very relieved to get Sno King the next day. I'd first called a 3rd company and they refused to work on a stacked front loader. I was beginning to total up the costs of not being able to fix this 12 yr old machine at all and figured $1300 plus tax to get the washer and a matching dryer to fit. Can't afford Sear's maintenance plan and I'm retired and can't afford to waste money, so a good old fashioned honest repair person is priceless. I also very much appreciated the senior discount, about 10%!! RECOMMENDATION: Use this company!! (SNO-KING) without any reservations.! All companies would do well to follow their business model. COMMENT ABOUT ANGIE'S LIST IN GENERAL. I think companies appreciate us expressing our appreciation on Angie's List and it results in excellent customer/business relations. However, I have tried using vendors from Angie's which I really liked in the past and in one case they said they no longer serve my area though they are in Ballard, and in another case they had a very bad employee who apparently gave them a terrible rep for a while, it took 1.5 years to resolve our problem. Nothing is perfect. But I wrote a very bad review in the beginning told them I would change it when they fixed it which I did but then they took maybe a year to resolve it so I wrote another bad review. I think the problem is solved, I'll check into it and be sure I wrote a final good review.

Repairman was on time, polite and competent. He advised that my dishwasher motor was failing and that it would need a new one, gave me a price and didn't pressure me to order. When I asked about the value of replacing the motor vs. buying a new washer, he gave me ballpark prices and recommendations on brands should I decide not to have him order the motor and install it. He diagnosed the refrigerator problem as a frozen water tube in the freezer door and advised that I leave it open to thaw and instructed me how I might do so while still keeping the contents of the freezer cold. The charge was minimal and although he didn't do any actual repair, it was far better than many of the other service providers that I had considered which have up-front fees in the hundreds of dollars just to come out. I will definitely use this company again. Do be aware that this repairman only takes checks - a slight inconvenience I was happy to deal with considering the minimal cost.

Called Sno-King Appliance service on one day and thee were out the next day to review the problem we were having with our spare refrigerator in our garage. The gentleman that came out (Ray I think) said he could repair it but would have to order the part and it could take up to 7 days. 6 days later they were out and had it fixed in less than an hour. - Great customer service - Friendly/Positive attitude - Competitive price

It was a great experience. They were able to identify the problem right away and he had everything he needed to make the repair. He was really fast and efficient in his ability to repair the refrigerator. I would give him an A on everything.

Ray arrived promply as scheduled and found the problem immediately. A piece of weed whacker plastic string had gone through the drum. We were given the senior discount. We would use Sno-King Appliance Service again without hesitation.

Very good experience! Ray showed up when promised, quickly figured out what was wrong, and ordered parts. He retuned two days later and repaired the dryer. Awesome!

This company repaired two appliances that had broken down. One needed a part that the repairman didn't have, but he came back the next day and completed the repairs. Timely, efficient, profession. Very happy wth my experience. I will definitely use these folks again.

We called this company after seeing the reviews on Angie's List. We quickly got an appointment, and the repairman was very punctual. Although he did not find any problem that would create a smell, he did find that another part on the machine was broken. The machine was actually not functioning properly. He did not have the part in his truck, so he asked if he could come back later with it, which he did. He quickly replaced the part. the machine works fine. I thought the cost of this service was very reasonable, especially since he had to make two trips. He was very effective, and I would use this company again.

Great service! Arrived on time and performed the work quickly and now my dryer works. Minimal charge. Would recommend to friends and family.

Initial phone call, I left message.Received a call back within 2 hours.He informed me that he'd need to check on when the part could be ordered and arrive, and he would call me back the next day.He called me back the next day, and informed me of the estimated arrival of the part.He said he would call again when the part arrived, and then we could schedule the appointment.He called back when the part arrived, and we scheduled the appointment for 2 days after.He arrived at the very beginning of the 2-hour timeframe which he had quoted.He completed the work with 30 minutes, and provided an invoice for payment. The washer door now works perfectly!

They were on time and they didn't take very long with the service. They were very informative and I would highly recommend this company. They were honest about the service that I need and replaced the piece needed to repair the appliance. I thought I would have to replace the entire appliance, but they were able to repair it with minimal cost.

I called for service on my dryer, which wouldn't work at all. Prompt service, inexpensive, and it was fixed in no time.

Ray came out on Thursday, determined the part he needed to order, ordered the part and returned again on Monday. Each visit was quick and professional.

Ray set up an appointment for the next business day. He came right on time after calling in advance to say he was on his way. He determined the cause of the problem and fixed it. The price was very reasonable, only charging us for the short time he was here. We were very pleased with the good customer service.

We discovered yesterday that our refrigerator/freezer wasn't cooling any more. This morning we called a national company that was the maker of our private label fridge to see if we could figure out if it might be the compressor that had stopped working. There was a 10 yr. warranty on the compressor and our fridge was only 8 1/2 yrs. old. I didn't get to talk to a person, got only automated answers, so I wasn't able to find out if the problem might be the compressor that was still under warranty. The national company wanted almost $120 just to come out and diagnose the problem! So I looked on Angie's List, and I'm sure glad I did. I called Sno-King Appliance Service this morning and was able to find out that most likely the problem wasn't the compressor and his diagnostic fee was $44.95. He told me that he didn't handle warranty work. He said he could come between 1 and 3 this afternoon. He arrived about 1:15, was only here maybe 15 minutes, and determined that it needed a new relay to the compressor. He found out the price, told us it would cost us about $120, and we gave him the ok. He then drove to Seattle to pick up the part along with some other parts he needed for other customers. He was back about 3:15, installed the part quickly, and gave us a final bill of $128.79, which included his diagnostic fee of $44.95. If we'd had the national company come out, we would have probably had to wait many days before someone could come out, and we would have had to pay almost $120 just for the diagnostic fee, not including parts or labor. And we probably would have had to wait for the part to be ordered and delivered before scheduling another appointment for the installation. So we're very pleased with the prompt service and reasonable pricing from Sno-King Appliance Service.

Very good experience. Two weeks later our dryer developed an unrelated problem and Ray came back and fixed it without charge, even though he had to go to the trouble to leave briefly to get the part.. We will definitely use him again and will recommend him to others.

They were able to come the next day. They came in, did the job, and were out.

I have a GE Profile cooktop fan that rises from the counter with the push of a button...but then one day a couple of weeks ago, it didn't! I called Sno-King and they ordered a part. Next day it came in and the day after that, the repairman was in my kitchen. Turned out the wiring was just loose--no new switch needed. The repairman cheerfully sent back the part and charged me appropriately less than the phone estimate (with part) had been. It is fixed and I am happy. Thoroughly pleasant, professional interaction.

Ten year old Tappen electric range. Bottom element in oven would not heat and the self cleaning feature had not worked for months. I called for an estimate and was given a reasonable figure if the problem was only the bottom element and he would look at it the next day. Ray arrived within his original estimated time on a Tusday and determined both the bottom and top element were bad. He did not have a replacement element on the truck so checked for parts availability and one of the elements needed to be shipped from Portland, Oregon. We rescheduled for Friday for my convenience and Ray returned within the scheduled time and installed two new elements. The oven works great. I have not tried the self clean feature yet, but expect no problems. Ray also inspected the latch operation before he left. The final price was well within his origianl estimate with the only addition being the cost of the second heating element.

Our freezer and refrigerator had been getting steadily less cold over a period of weeks, until I came home from work one night to find that the food in the refrigerator was starting to spoil. We left a message at Sno King Appliance Service that night, and Ray called us back by about 8:30 the next morning, and made arrangements to come out the following day. Ray said he would arrive between 11am-1pm, and showed up promptly at 11. He quickly identified the problem (a broken defrost thermometer) and was able to repair the fridge. That cost about $180. Because our fridge had a water dispenser which has long been broken, we had him repair that as well. He had to order a part for that unit, and returned the following week to repair it for about another $100. In summary, he showed up on time, the price seems fair, and the food is cold again!

Ray showed up at the beginning of the time-window he had given me. He was very nice, professional, and easy to work with. The problem did end up being what we had originally thought, a faulty door latch. It only took him about 20 minutes to repair, and the washer seems to be working just fine now. I gave a lower score on the price because it seems rather expensive for a repair on a washer that is only two years old. But I understand that there is a service-visit fee, a labor fee and whatever the price of the part is. However, overall I was very satisfied with Ray and would call him again should we need an appliance repair in the future.

Ray was very professional and completed the repair in about an hour, not including getting the parts. I recommend Ray for any of your appliance repairs.

Two trips--one to discover the problem and the next to put in the new panel becase ti had to be ordered. Great communication. On time on both visits and worked hard to fit our schedule. Did not try and sell things that were not needed. Most of the cost was for the new part. COst for the visits and work was more than fair. On the second trip my daughter who was visiting received him. He wrote out the bill when I came in and let him know that we had contacted him through Angie's List. Rewrote the bill with a discount..

They came, they saw, they fixed. I called around mid morning and they were there by 3 PM. I liked that. Charged me $98 for labor, no parts involved.
