Our Kirkland Signature by Whirlpool Dryer suddenly stop working. It would not start when the "start button" was pushed. After checking to make sure the electrical breaker was not tripped and that the power cord was properly plugged in, it was time to call someone who could make a more educated diagnosis of the problem. I called Ray at Sno-King at about 9:00 am and he indicated he could come and fix the problem that same afternoon. During the phone conversation Ray detailed his service call fee. He set a time and then called about 15 minutes before he arrived. Ray arrived and immediately went to work by doing the same simple test that I had previously conducted, then he took his electrical meter, a couple hand tools and promptly removed the back cover from the dryer. Within seconds announced that a failed thermostat was the culprit. He quickly went to his truck and returned with the replacement part and installed it, replaced the back cover, plugged in the power cord and pressed the "start button". The dryer started and begin to operate normally, except there was a high tone squeaking sound as the drum turned. Ray checked for worn seals around the drum or for objects rubbing on the drum. He then quickly removed the screws holding the top of the dryer on and flipped it open to reveal the drum. His visual inspection concluded there was no damage to the seals and there were no objects caught between the casing and the drum. Next he examined the guide the drum rest on as it turns. Yes it was worn. He again immediately went to his truck and returned with the correct replacement part, installed it, replaced the top and front covers, plugged in the dryer, pushed the "start button" and now not only did the dryer respond properly, but also quietly. Squeak was gone. Ray's total time was about 20 minutes from the time he arrived until, my dryer was functionally normal and I had a detailed invoice in my hand. Ray had quoted me the cost for each part before proceeding in the repair process and the statement reflected exactly what he had quoted. All this was done in a very efficient and professional manner. I was impressed with his attention to the task at hand There seemed to be no wasted time, yet he was friendly and explained each step along the way. Hopefully, I will not need Ray to return for the dryer, but if any of my other large appliances go on the fritz.... Ray will be the man I call.

My dishwasher all of a sudden just stopped working. My husband called another company, but since we live in North Seattle and the technician wouldn't drive one more mile up the road to our house to come look at the dishwasher, he suggested we call Sno-King. Ray came out the next day to repair our dishwasher. He was late, but he let me know ahead of time. He checked out the dishwasher and let me know that it would cost a little over $200 to repair it. He said he could have the part and replace it that day. But I wanted to know if it was worth replacing or just to buy a new dishwasher. The dishwasher came with the house when we purchased it and it wasn't the greatest. Ray suggested that I buy a new one, if I wasn't pleased with the one the house came with. The service went okay. He seemed to know what he was doing. He was only here for about 10 minutes. I basically paid him for the "diagnosis" and gas! The nice thing was, he said if we decided to repair the dishwasher at a later time, he would just charge us for labor and not the service/travel fee. We decided to purchase a new dishwasher instead of repairing the old one. We recently purchased the new dishwasher and I'm glad we didn't put the money into fixing a dishwasher I really didn't care for.

My washing machine cycles were not operating properly. I called him over the weekend and he returned my call promptly on Monday morning. He said he could be to my house between 2 and 4 PM. He arrived promptly 2 PM. He was able to reproduce my problem, then he opened up the washer. The act of opening it seemed to fix it. But he doubled checked the cycles and took notes on the washer saying that if it didn't stay fixed he would need to replace a part. He was very nice and professional. I was very happy with his service and if it does start acting up again, I wouldn't hesitate to call him to replace the part.

Mr. technician was able to come and fix our dryer fast. He found that the belt had fallen off. A few weeks later when the problem happened again he came to the house (fast) and went to pickup a new belt. He promptly fixed it and we were back in business. He did not charge us for the second visit.

It went very well. SnoKing was easy to reach, scheduled the appointment, he arrived on time and replaced a valve that was was leaking and caused water to build up in our dishwasher.

I am very impressed with the pleasant, sensible approach he takes to problems. He does not automatically treat everything like the biggest possible deal, but checks to see whether a simple, relatively inexpensive repair may resolve the problem. Also, he lets the homeowner know what is going on. I will definitely use his services again.

We had a leaking dishwasher in a rental home I handle for the owner. I called Ray, set an appointment for a day close to the call. He was on time; diagnosed the problem immediately and ordered the replacement part which was to arrive the following Monday. The part arrived on time and Ray installed it with no additional problems or expense. I was happy with the service as it impacted my busy schedule to a minimum and did not cause my client any distress. Without question, Ray and Sno-King Appliance Service will be my "go to guy" whenever I encounter an appliance problem.

Overall it was OK, he told me that the oven was too old, but all I needed was for the door to be repaired . The oven works great no matter how old. He was able to screw the handle back on ,did not use any extra parts or anything, I think I paid for the gas primarily not for the repair.

My dishwasher was not draining at all. After I called Ray, he gave me an appt for the very next day between 11am and 1pm. He showed up 10 minutes before 11am and was done in 30 minutes. The water was draining out of my air gap, so he flushed the plumbing that went to the disposal unit as well. He ran several cycles of drain and monitored that nothing was leaking and everything worked properly. He also cleaned up after himself when he left. He did not have to do anything major on the appliance in my case, but for the kind of work he did, I highly recommed him.

Ray called when he saw that he was going to be slightly later than expected and called again when he was 20 minutes out. He arrived and fixed the problem quickly and with confidence. He had diagnosed the problem correctly. A pocket comb had slipped through the door gasket and was striking the drum. In addition to fixing the problem he told me how to prevent it from happening again.

Very well. I did not know that washing machine legs could get off balance. I was relieved it was a small problem and relieved that Ray fixed only what was needed to be fixed and did not try to add on problems to charge me more. I will definitely call him the next time something needs to be fixed on my washer or dryer.

Came out a day after calling, found issue, got part and had it repaired the next day at the price he quoted. Prompt and professional.

Ray arrive to look at the dishwasher. Determined that there was a part of the spray arm had broke. Ordered the part from his supplier in Portland. Received the part and replace the part on the spray arm.

Working with Ray at Sno-King Appliance Service was the best experience. He came to our house immediately to fix our refridgerator that was not cooling properly. We then had him return to fix our icemaker a week later. I am so impressed with the price and integrity of his work. We will absolutely use him again!!!

I called Sno-King Appliance with an issue regarding my dishwasher. I was quite pleased to find out that they would be able to have someone out the next day. The service call fee is probably the most reasonable out there. Ray showed up right on time. He took a look at my dishwasher, gave me an estimate and I asked him to go ahead and complete the work. He mentioned that he did not have the part needed with him, but that he could obtain it and be back in a 1/2 hour - which he did. He completed the repair on my dishwasher in 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. He was very clean, thorough and friendly. I told him that I did not have checks for my bank account, but that I could get cash. He said he would return the next day and swing by to pick up his payment. He stopped by the next day as planned and I paid him for the dishwasher repair. I asked him if he had a quick moment to listen to an odd noise my dryer had just started making. He said he could, no problem. He listened to the dryer, mentioned he would need to get his screwdriver from his truck. He came back, opened the dryer and pulled out a zipper pull, which had gotten caught in the dryer drum. Ray closed up the dryer and made sure it was running properly. I asked him what the charge was for the dryer and he stated, "Oh, no charge." Ray not only knows what he's doing, but is a generally nice guy. I would not hesitate to call him for any appliance repairs and would be more than happy to refer him to all my friends and family.

We have an Amana refrigerator with a bottom freezer bought in 2002. The refrigerator was not keeping items cold but the freezer was working. Called Sno-King Appliance Repair and talked to Ray. He was able to come out the same day. He knew immediately what what was wrong. It was the thermostate, a $15 item. He had the part with him. He charged a diagnois fee and labor. He was on time, professional and fixed the problem in little time. Had to store our food in ice chests and a camp refrig over the weekend. The price of repairs looked good compared to buying a new refrgerator.

I contacted Sno King Appliance Service because my cloth washer was acting up. When I called Ray he answered the phone right away. Ray gave me his trip charge rate and approximately what time he can be at my house the same day and called to let me know he will be 10 minutes late. Ray listened for my description of the issues then proceeds to open up the connection to examine the wiring. He gave me a lot of information on how the front loader washer works and the difficulties on determining the exact problem. He provided several suggestions for us to try and see if the problem continues before we invest the money to replace the mother board. We decided to wait and see what happens but we implemented several of his suggestions. I paid the trip charge which was $49.22.

Great!! I called a previous repairman that I always dealt with on Friday morning. No return phone call. I also called someone on Angie's List also on Friday and they put me on hold for a long time. I hung up. On Monday morning, I looked on Angie's List and found Sno-King Appliance Service. I called Ray around 10:30 a.m. and he said he could look at it between 5 to 7 p.m. Ray showed up earlier at 4:30, which was great!! He fixed my washer within 30 minutes.

Our oven electronics failed. He attempted to fix it doing the less expensive things first. When the potential cost got to be more than $400, we opted to discontinue the repair and purchase a new oven. Ultimately he only charged us $50, which we thought was more than fair.

I was once again pleased with the service. He arrived on time, did the work and was there for over an hour and said because he could fix it, I would just be billed a service call. He left my kitchen clean, was very careful and thoughtful of my home and apologized that he could not fix it. Great Service.

The person who came in to repair the dish washer was strict and professional. He arrived the very next day I contacted them which was a good response. He was able to determine that 3 wires had to be replaced. So he replaced the wires and the dish washer is working fine again.

It went great. He called a few hours ahead to tell of the exact time he'd be there. Came in and did the job. Had a 10% discount because of finding him on Angie's List.

I called and left a message which was returned within 5 minutes. He was able to come that day, as opposed to others who told me they would come later in the week. He was able to diagnose the problem with the dryer easily after I described what was happening, and took five minutes to figure out what was wrong with the washer. It was really unusual issue. Told me how much up front it would be to fix and that he could not get the parts until tomorrow. I was fine with that, and he came back the next day at the time he said he would, did the job and everything works great. I am so happy with the company!!!

Ray showed up when he said he would and did as much as he could without actually taking apart my disposal. He felt it was an electrical problem, and so he didn't waste our time or his trying to do repairs. It is kind of frustrating to find out that the person you called can't fix your problem, but he didn't charge us a fortune and he was honest. I have used his services twice before for appliance repair, and he is always honest and will do only what you ask (or suggest something and wait for approval before doing more). He shows up on time, cleans up after himself well and is very professional.

Ray is the owner and repair person. I have used his services for repairs on my dryer, washing machine and dishwasher. He is prompt in coming to repair, offers a reasonable rate and competent. He is able to work on a variety of brands, models and different appliances. He only repairs or replaces parts that are necessary. I truly trust his abilities. Unfortunately, I do not recall the cost.
