Patrick fit my indoor project between their busy dry-season scheduled outdoor projects. The two painters were as polite, professional and exacting as possible. They really did a great job, leaving everything in perfect order. I'm absolutely delighted and would definitely use the same company again.

The short version: once everything was finally set and the guys came to actually paint, it went well and we were pleased with the quality of the work. However, prior to that, it was a frustrating experience. The problem is simple and should be easily resolved, but apparently isn?t: Patrick - the guy who is the estimator and organizer - is a lousy communicator. After initially responding to a request for a quote he disappeared, and when I emailed saying I figured he must no longer be interested he claimed to have responded but said that the email ?was stuck in the drafts folder?. Based on subsequent experience, I seriously doubt this was true. He came over to do the estimate (which we promptly accepted), but after that it was difficult to get responses to questions about the work. After a few instances of this - when an email query had not been answered for around a week - I finally sent him a message saying that if this third attempt at getting a response didn?t work, we were dumping him. Magically, I got an immediate response (see, that wasn?t so hard, was it?) He then said I should contact him via his cell rather than email. So I tried texting him - same problem. Then there was the estimate. Granted this was partly my fault for not reading it properly the first time, but when I looked at it more closely it detailed only the front of the house, not all of it. I queried him and he said no, we were on the same page, it was the whole house (so why did the proposal not say that?) When he came to do the estimate, I said we needed trim, porch, eaves etc done - basically ?anywhere there is paint now needs redoing?. I figured this was pretty straightforward and clear, but when the painters finally arrived - after more delays in responses over scheduling the job - there was disagreement about what was to be done. In particular, Patrick said the proposal had not included painting the windows except for the trim around them. To be fair, he agreed to do the upper windows at no extra cost (though again, they should have been included in the original estimate); we agreed to do the much easier-to-reach ground floor windows ourselves. The painting itself was done well, and the guys who did it were efficient and friendly. So it worked out well in the end, but it was unnecessarily frustrating getting to that point. If he?d just pay more attention to email or texts and respond promptly - seriously, how hard can that be? - they?d have a much easier time satisfying customers.
Description of Work: Painted the porch steps, porch, porch rails, porch pillars, trim and window trim around the house (two coats). The job took 3 days. They matched paint colors we chose almost exactly.

Travis Hendrickson came out to provide the estimate for the work to be completed. Travis was extremely personable and knowledgeable. Four Seasons was not the cheapest quote we received, but there were a few reasons why we chose their company over the 8 other quotes we obtained. Travis noted specific areas of the carport that need work (no one else did) and their bid was a five page, full color and detailed proposal that clearly described the work to be done. The bid included photos of the areas to be addressed. The workers came out early and worked diligently for 2 1/2 days. The area was fully cleaned at the end of each day. The garage / shop was re-roofed with a 30-year composition and the car port was covered with a 45 mil TPO system. The final result looks outstanding! The final cost was over the initial bid, but this was due to failing plywood and boards that needed to be replaced. I would highly recommend Four Seasons for any roofing project you have and would utilize their services again with NO reservations!

the young men were very courteous and listened to exactly what I had wanted done. They explained why it would be difficult to cover the existing enamel paint with the latex I had purchased so that I was aware of that. They cleaned up exceptionally well and got it all done what I had asked. I think I would have preferred less of it to be done and tidier than to get it all done. There is paint on tile floor at base of doors. The bifold door was painted and immediately shut so I had to get someone else to come and unstick it as it had painted dry in closed position. A friend had to use putty knives and some strength to get bifold door open and the paint is ruined on that door. I feel badly saying anything at all about these lovely young men who tried very hard In the future I would supervise closely and talk to them while they painted. When they were here I had tried to stay out of their way but I would have caught them closing the door and dripping on floor if I had been right there.Again they were very great to have around. and they didn't have loud awful music blaring like most workers I have had at thre condo . I really appreciated that. I would definitely hire them again!! and I would just tag along with them throughout the painting. It is all a learning process
Description of Work: In four hours they painted trim on ceiling on one wall in living room and three flat doors and around the door jams in hall and one bifold door for closet. there were two workers who came

The painters arrived on time, and worked non-stop for the 4 hours they were scheduled. They got an amazing amount of work done, with only minor need for me to go back and do some final touch-up around the edges. I appreciated their willingness to work with me to determine the most important things that needed doing, and they cleaned up their work appropriately. I would use this company again for painting services.

Threre was an area that didn't get finished the first day, and the painters returned the next week to finish it up. The owner, Patrick Sears was very responsive to my call and concerned that the job be finished as we first requested and made sure we were happy with the painting. Once In the end, we got more painted than originally expected because of Patricks insistance that we be satisfied with the finished result. We are very pleased with the job done and the communication with Patrick.
Description of Work: Extensive and very high vaulted ceilings were painted by two very polite painters. It was a very difficult area to reach, but the job was very professionally done. Everything was cleaned up nicely, and furniture put back into place as much as possible. Every effort was made to protect the furniture and floors from paint mishaps. They even removed their shoes when entering the house. The only thing we had to provide was the paint, and we saved a lot of money on the paint because the owner, Patrick, allowed us to buy it in conjunction with his paint store account.

We contacted the company and Patrick came out promptly and gave us a fair estimate for the work. We gave them the go ahead and my wife stayed home on the first day to let in the drywall guy, well by 10 am he had not arrived and she had not received a call. She called and they found out the drywall guy overslept and was in route. Then Zach and his partner came a day later and started painting, it took a number of days but they did a good job. But we asked them if they could replace some door molding, they said it would take some time but took on the job. It took about a month but Zach and his partner returned installed the molding on the inside and outside of the door. During the process Zach came down and asked if they needed to do anything other than install the interior molding since we are in the process of remodeling that room. I told him no they finished up and left. I went upstairs and the outside molding looked good so I didn't even check the inside since all they had to do was nail it up. My wife check when she came home and called me upstairs, the molding on the inside of the room was cut at the wrong angle at the top, they installed it anyway and put caulk in the over 1/4 inch gap on one end. At this point all the trust we had built up went out the window, we called and my wife complained and we paid the bill in full and we are replacing the molding ourselves. We had gotten an estimate to paint the exterior but that one poor judgement is keeping me from trusting them now. They did do a good job with the actual painting.

Painters arrived as planned after a minor hiccup (one company painter was out sick, so had to re-adjust out start time, but then we were able to get two painters for 4 hours - which still fit in our window). Painters arrived and went right to work taping off woodwork for area to be painter. Once that was complete, they applied the two coats of paint and were able to complete the entire job within the alloted four hours. The only issue I had, one of the painters took a couple of smoke break during the period - keep to a minimum. But after they havd left, I noticed the butts in my driveway - would prefer that he take care of these in his vehicle. Other tham that one issue, the work was doing very professionally and efficiently. Seattle Paint and Drywall does good work and their employees work very well.
Description of Work: Purchased the big deal - one painter for 8 hrs, two painters for 4 hrs to do interior painting. Had to pre-purchase paint, tape and cover paper - but overall , a pretty good deal. Got some difficult interior painting complete in short period of time.

I bought an Angie's List Big Deal for 8 hours of painting for $200 (normally $400). Two painters arrived, so it was 4 hours of 2 painters. The good: They quickly got to work and painted the whole room in 3 hours. With time left to touch up some other areas of the house. The bad: After the 3 hours painting the room, they packed up and were ready to leave until I pointed out that I had 2 more hours. They stayed and did 2 more hours of work. But a professional would not need to be told they owe me more work. They left white footprints on my oak floors. I had to run out to the street and knock on their window as they were driving off to have them come in and clean the paint off. They did so using their socks. They also didn't get all of it, I had to clean additional paint off the floor. The paint job was not what I'd call professional work. Granted they can cut in better than I can, but looking at the rest of my professionally painted house, I can see how a real pro cuts in. I also had to spend a few hours on the weekend putting a 2nd coat on the walls and ceiling because in their haste to get done as fast as possible, they didn't roll on a good coat. I could still see through to the white primer. They also told me they put on 2 coats. They obviously didn't. Summary: I purchased $400 of painting for $200. My intention with buying the deal was to find a good painting contractor and save a little money. Well, I saved a little money, but I didn't find a good painter.

We will try to be brief on our end of this project, yet point out specifics the member points out. (Our employees version.) The room had no heat causing the paint to dry slowly. He had four colors in one room: one accent color, one ceiling color ,one color for three other walls and one wood work color. He wanted all the work completed in one day, which our painters succeeded in doing. Not having the paint dry before appling more coats is not professional. The next day you may see that it needs more paint. Having all that paint drying slowly they began to clean that room knowing there was only one hour left for them to finish. Please keep in mind, he speaks of the lack of straight lines; they were trying to free-hand straight lines with multitude colors. The normal way is to let one color dry a day return and cut a new color into the dry color. We were trying to make straight lines with all wet paint touching each other. Supposing they were packing up he made mention they still owed him time. Knowing they did they asked what he wanted next. He then had them paint his staircase step risers. On our part, our painters did get a couple of drips on the hardwood floor. The member saw the spots and did have them come back and clean.( Note our painter said he used our normal rags we puchase from the paint store not his sock. I guess we can leave that one up for debate). Then, after doing so, our employee walked through the job to make sure the member was happy. He said he was and even told our painter he would put in a good report for us. Another note: this company makes no money on these $199.00 Big Deals. It is solely done to keep our employees working through our tough winters. But, no matter the cost, we want our employees to be professional on any project. It's always unfortunate to us to not satisfy each and every member. All in all we believe this member benefited quite well for his dollars spent. Thanks for taking time to read our answer.

The job went okay, but the two workers were two hours late in arriving which got us all off on a bad start. I had to call their office to see if they were still planning on coming that morning. When they finally showed up they explained that they were late because of snow, and that someone from their office was to have called us to inform us of that, but no one ever did. I thought it rather odd, because even though there was just a skiff of snow on the grass, none was on the roads in the area (we drove there ourselves to the site earlier) and none of the local schools were closed, or even running late due to the weather that morning. After they pulled the masking tape away from some of the trim, there were gaps where the paint did not cover. The painter told me that was due to the prior paint job but that he would go over it to make it right if I wanted him to. I told him "yes", I wanted it to be done properly so he did go over it and fixed the problem. They returned on time the next day and put a 2nd coat over the walls that hadn't been covered completely (it had gotten fairly dark the prior evening, as they were running late and a 2nd. final coat was needed to cover the walls completely). We were a little disappointed based on their mostly positive prior ratings overall, so I have to believe they usually do a better job.

Zakary and Carlos are rarely anything but an (A). Sometimes when repainting older homes the old paint lines are quite crooked. When taping them off and painting a new coat we often remove the tape then have to follow the old color to make it look right. It is good to know that when that happened our employees made it right. Thank you for your report. Our hopes are that you do not hesitate to call on us again

These Big Deals work out well for everyone. The member gets a great price, and we keep our guys busy in the slow season. And when all goes well on the project were all happy. Thanks for your report and please call us again.

Since we started the job a bit late (mid October) I was concerned that there would be weather issues. But the painting crew showed up on time and completed the job quite rapidly. Also Patrick was willing to go with my original paint suggestion, but recommended a superior paint for my situation. I would definitely use them again.

The painter was a little late getting to our house. He was a hard worker and was able to paint more in the 8 hours than I thought he would be able to. He probably should have slowed down a bit. His attention to detail was not as good as we had hoped. The line where the walls meet the ceiling started out pretty good, but got a little sloppy as the day went on. He patched a small hole in the drywall, and the result was not very good. He taped off the baseboards and window trim, but still got some paint on both and on our fireplace. He also got some of the wall paint on the ceiling. The overall job was pretty good, but could have been better.

Good reports or not so good reports are important to us. It helps us better ourselves, as well helps us to improve the skills of our employees. In this case it is a bit ovious our employee covered to much painting surfaces then perhaps he needed to. And in doing so lacked in paying attention to detail. We have since had a meeting with our employee making him aware of this problem and believe he will currect any future issues from occuring. He is a long time employee and a proffessional. Thank you for your time in sending this report.

The premeeting with the owner was great. I was able to get an appointment promptly. He was informative and took as much time as I needed to discuss the options - fair and straightforward. On the appointed day, a gentleman that showed up to do the painting. He should be coached on his greeting (like "Good morning, I am so-n-so from Seattle Drywall and Painting). The painter came in, we discussed the colors and where to begin and end each color (two colors) he went quietly about painting the rooms. The paint job took several hours and looked good, he touched up in a few areas where I asked him to and left. After he left I found a problem and a few touchups were needed. The owner was very accommodating and sent Zachery and another gentleman out to correct the problems. They spent time assessing the issues and checking the job out overall. We scheduled a new day; they came back, on time, and within a half hour had fixed all the painting issues (there were only a few). One problem remained regarding a splatter on my TV console that they were not able to wash off with a solvent, so Zachary discussed the possible solutions and returned that afternoon to restain the side panel of my console. My husband and I both checked over the entire job and are completely satisfied. Zachary and the other gentleman with him were apologetic and very knowledgeable and helpful. They made things right - quickly and efficiently. I would use Seattle Drywall and Paint again without hesitation - they stand behind their work. I would request Zachery-he knows the business and is great to work with.
