Timely, courteous sales person. Didn't rush through everything, indulged me with my 2-page list of questions. Didn't push one model over another. After getting LITERALLY 10 bids, I opted to go with them. I like the fact that they're local, they do the permitting up front (as opposed to some companies who don't do them at all), they warranty their parts & labor for 10 years, and they do a really complete heat loss calculation. The installer was prompt, the work was done quickly and cleanly. They even moved a duct for me at the last minute. It's been a few months, and I've had no problems... it's so quiet!

I called and talked to a friendly and competent person who scheduled a visit a couple weeks out. The furnace guy showed up towards the end of the 2-hour window I was given. He did as expected, checked out the furnace and turned it on. We talked to him about adding the heater upstairs and he said we'd be best off doing it ourselves or hiring a plumber rather than having his company do it. He was a little frustrating on that score since it was a little difficult to follow what he was saying, but the frustration is really mostly due to the poor job done by the original heating system installers; it wasn't set up properly. Then he charged me what they said they would and he went away. All in all it was just fine.

Very enthusiastic and thorough in the pre-sales process. Pricing favorable as compared to other suppliers. Knowledgeable and responsive team, clearly eager for my business. Installation went smoothly and right on schedule. Impressed with follow-up visit by owner to review installation 2 days later. Installer forgot to leave documentation and it was a nightmare trying to obtain it from them. They wouldn't return calls or emails. Sadly put a sour ending to an otherwise good experience.

Ballard Natural Gas Service Inc was very thorough and efficient with their service call. They responded to my request for service and offered me a contract that helped reduce the price I paid for the repair they made. I am very pleased with this company.

Very nice and knowledgeable sales person (Taylor) met with me at my house (weds sep 5). Spent an hour walking me through all the options. Said would provide quote by monday Sep 10. No reponse. Called and left message on mon sep 17th. No response. Called again and left message for Taylor weds sep 19th. Still no response!

Their representative Davis was very professional, and his estimates were very detailed and accurate. He coordinated with the gas company to have the gas brought in from the street (having installed gas, heat, and water, there was no cost for the street to meter installation). The installation crew did very good work. Vern was the lead, very nice, and did a great job.

The estimator (John Mott) arrived on time and did a thorough inspection of the old furnace and the space available for the new unit. He did a very good job of explaining the differences between the various furnace models. He calculated the heat loss of our home to make sure that the new furnace would have the correct capacity, something that the other two companies that bid on the job didn't do. On installation day, two guys showed up at the stated time and got right to work, one cleaning the ductwork and the other removing the old furnace and installing the new one. The duct cleaning took less than two hours but the furnace installation took all day. A couple of days after the installation John returned to inspect the installation and found a couple of minor things that needed to be corrected. Within a week, the corrections were made.

I thought this company was extremely professional in how they talked to me. They were punctual and very orderly and methodical. They knew their stuff. They went out to their car and produced an estimate for me on the spot. The estimate they gave us was extremely fair. If we decide to have this work done, I have to say we will most likely use them because they were so professional and so knowledgeable.

I had solicited three estimates and I was comfortable with their price. They are well known in this area, and I have used them for other work as well. There was a small problem with the pipe liner and they quickly responded to fixing it for us.

It was great! They were efficient, prompt, and gave me a discount for being an Angie's List member. They called to remind me that my annual service was due which I found very helpful.

Overall, I was very pleased with BNGS's work. They started the same day as the required asbestos abatement was scheduled and had too many installers for the amount of work that could be done while the abatement was being done. This put them behind schedule and was likely the source of my negative comments. They did their best to get back on schedule, but had too few installers when critical work needed to be done. When the old oil boiler was to be removed, only one installer was scheduled and unfortunately got oil spilled and tracked throughout the basement. It wasn't cleaned up for 2 days. In the end, I was satisfied with the installation. If it weren't for the mess during installation. They would have gotten an "A" grade.

I scheduled an estimate appointment about a week out. The estimator arrived right on time. He was professional and informative, suggesting for example that I determine in advance which model of gas range I would get so that they could place the gas outlet in the best location for that model. The following day, he provided an estimate via email, right on time as promised. In the end, I ended up using another contractor that charged considerably less for the water heater work and could perform the service sooner.

Shawn arrived promptly at 8 AM as promised and got right to work on our furnace. He was finished within a half hour or less, told us about a potential problem to watch out for down the road, but that wasn't something to worry about for now. Was very quick, very professional and only played with my dog AFTER he was done with all the work! (VERY hard to do--she BEGS for attention!) Asked if we were interested in a service contract but was very polite about it without trying to push it when I declined, which I appreciated.

It was nice to be able to arrange both jobs with one phone call. The woman I spoke to at BNGS/BPV was very knowledgeable and helpful. Matt showed up exactly when he was scheduled, was friendly but professional took about 2-1/2 hours to complete the job, less than the 3 hrs I'd expected, which was a nice bonus. I appreciated that he took the time to tell me there might be some dust coming from the seams in the ductwork and suggesting that I move collectibles I might not want to get dirty and giving me the time to do that. Also, we'd had our ductwork cleaned once some years before and that company took the vents off the walls in spite of the fact that they were sealed with paint, and caused quite a bit of damage to the paint that had to be repaired. Matt was able to make small holes in the ducts directly and do the work that way, sealing them up completely and neatly when done. No paint damaged or needing repairing of any sort. Nice!

He was great. He was the head technical guy very professional.

Estimator was pleasant and prompt. Technician arrived on time and finished the job in 3 hours - having to work around significant existing duct work.

I still can't believe how lucky I was. My furnace motor was running, but it wasn't getting hot. I called the number on the sticker that was on the furnace (it was a different company) and the guy came out and told me that I needed a new circuit board - he had to get one (the next day - he didn't have one in stock) and it would cost $2000. Wow - that's a lot, but what can you do? So the next morning, I decided to Google the part, and found it for about $200 - it seemed $1,800 was a lot for labor. I called Ballard Natural Gas and the woman who answered the phone WENT WAY OUT OF HER WAY to find that the part on my furnace was under warranty. In a couple of hours, someone came to my house and put the new part in, and I only had to pay labor. I paid $90 instead of $2,000. I can't imagine calling anyone else for furnace work again. Thank you!

Very impressed with the professionalism of the sales person and owner of this company. They really know their stuff and explained everything. They helped me understand what I was buying when other companies did not take the time to explain or even leave me with a detailed written estimate as Ballard Natural Gas did. I had just purchased a 1927 house and did not have heat. They rallied and got it in quickly. Wish I had known more or contacted the salesperson during installation as some of the things we decided on were not done as agreed on install. The company was quick to fix some of the problems and some I just fixed on my own. Still give them high marks but suggest that someone be present at install and call the salesperson with any deviations to plan. Hopefully they will come out again to fix some very minor items.

I really like this company. My overall happiness with them is however not unqualified. If I had not had an active part in the planning and final product inspections, there would have been significant mistakes.

Arrived a half hour before deadline, quick diagnosis, serviced, and cleaned thoroughly about 45-60 minutes.

I contacted Ballard Gas for a bid and they sent out a representative the following morning. The rep was right on time and had great advice on how to get the job done most efficiently. For phase 1, we had them install new gas piping from the main line to our stove and fireplace. After having a great experience with that project and shopping around for gas logs, we invited them back to install gas logs in our fireplace. Every time they came out, they were on time and cleaned up. I was at work when the gas logs were installed and when I returned home you wouldn't have known someone was in the house aside from the beautifully installed new gas logs. There was about a week delay from what we expected when getting the logs installed due to an administrative issue, but all in all GREAT service and very competitive pricing.

Excellent. When we originally requested bids, some companies wouldn't do the work because it required managing aesthetic issues with cutting into drywall and repairing, etc. NOTE: I don't have the exact price because my client paid for it, but it was competitive with other bids. Ballard was the most punctual, professional and responsive.

On the initial visit, the technician cleaned and inspected both units, but he did not inspect the electronic air filter attached to one of them or confirm that it was working properly. (It was not.) When I called Ballard Natural Gas, they agreed to send someone out again immediately at no additional charge. This second technician discovered a part was missing and ordered it. About a week later, Ballard Natural Gas delivered the part to me. (It's a pre-filter I can install myself.) Overall, I'm very pleased with how responsive they were. It seemed like they cared about getting the job right.

Great experience. Brandon came out to give me an estimate, and his demeanor stood out from all the other estimates I got. He wasn't rushed, volunteered information (such as matching the PSE rebate), wasn't condescending, and came prepared (and on time). He also did a full heat loss calculation on my house, which showed that I needed a smaller furnace than my existing one. Make sure you have this done! Their estimate was in the mid range of the ones that I got. I chose them because they always do a permit, always include a new thermostat, don't oversize or oversell, and most importantly, always include a ten year parts AND LABOR warranty. Once I chose to go with them, they were quick to schedule me in (because I qualified as a 'no heat' customer) and Jason was prompt, polite, and clean with the installation. Two days later, Brandon was back with a checklist to do a visual inspection and make sure I didn't have any questions or complaints. All in all, a great experience.
