I think the guy who had came out had been doing this work for about a year. His supervisor had to come back a couple times to fix his work, which they were really good about. Considering things can go wrong and people do make mistakes, they were very responsive about fixing everything.

Couldn't be better. After receiving a diagnosis from another company of needing a $1000 set of parts (which may or may not work) or a whole new furnace, we decided to get another opinion. From the dispatcher on the phone to the service technician, Ballard could not have been better. They really wanted to repair, not just replace my furnace! He quickly found the source of the problem (that the other company hadn't even considered.....) replaced the part and had us warm again in short order. Going from possibly spending $6000, to just $300 (and will most likely get another few years out of our 21 year old furnace) was a most happy surprise!!

BNGS are friendly, courteous and efficient with excellent communication. Ordered one afternoon and installed the next day! Geat job! The installer did a great job. He obviously takes considerable pride in the quality of his work. All job related waste material and packaging was thoroughly cleaned up and hauled away, including the old tank heater. I would not hesitate to recommend BNGS to anyone.

They are great. They came in and the price was just what they said it would be. They were professional, did the job and provided me with information on the condition of my furnace. We knew we wanted to do this since our home was remodelled just before we moved in last year. Having a new baby on the way gave us the perfect excuse to proceed now. I saw the coupons in the "Value Pak" mailer and expected the cost to be much less then what we ended up paying. After calling around and checking Angie's list, we learned that this coupon is a very basic "dust buster-ing" of the area just around the vent with many extra fees for any additional and recommmended cleaning. With Ballard natural Gas, we were quoted a price based on size of our home and #vents and were told exactly what was to be done. One man showed up about 5 minutes early and went straight to work and was done in less then 2 hours. If you do have young children, you may want to have them out of the house when they are working. Not only does the door have to be open for the vacuum hose to run out to the truck (you could put up a baby gate), but the 'snake' tube is rather noisey when it is run into the vents and bounces around. Some kids may get scared. Overall, we are very happy with how things went and the results.

They came out same-day, and in the time-range promised. The service tech was quick, articulate and provided excellent advice. In general, he behaved in as professional way as anyone could want. The tech told me that while he knew what the problem part was, there wasn't any reason to believe it was dangerous or would necessarily fail any time soon. He performed safety checks and recommended waiting on further work until it caused an actual problem. The whole experience gave me confidence and made me feel good about calling them for the work. Based on this, this firm will certainly get my next call for future HVAC work.

The entire process was seamless with professional customer service and timely follow through. They arrived on time for each appointment (initial proposal, installation and follow-up). The proposal was easy to read and understand and all questions were thoroughly answered. The installer worked over 10 hours and cleaned the work area before leaving. The invoice was detailed and complete. The final walk through with the comfort specialist was appreciated and reinforced their commitment to excellent customer service. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give the overall experience a 10+ .

Very professional service, from phone calls, estimate, actual work to follow up. Rebates and Angie's List discount lowered total price of $5400 by $750.

I had low levels of carbon monoxide coming from my gas vents. Got three estimates from three companies over the next day and a half. Ballard was the most competent estimate doing everything that a little web research says you are supposed to do to get an accurate measure of the size of the furnace needed and evaluation. They installed it 3 days later - the guy who installed it stayed here working for over 12 hours to get it up and running. The cleaned the ducts for free before hand and came through for a follow up visit and checklist. Added a vent at low cost and cut another for free. Their cost was competitive with all other estimates. Offered space heaters in the meantime if I was worried about safety from the carbon monoxide. I was impressed and very happy with them.

They come when you call them and they do a good job. They charge a reasonable price. They are local and they are available when you need them.

They did a great job. I spent $472 on the job. They showed up on time. They were friendly and ready to work. They were neat and clean. They honored the discount. While they were here, they also did the dryer vents. They could fit that job into their schedule at the last minute; they were very flexible. I really appreciated that. I?ll absolutely use them again.

The service was fairly good and as advertised, so it was acceptable. I thought that the pricing was acceptable and as I understood it to be.

The technician was able to come out the same day (saturday). He was even able to come about an hour early. He was very professional. He was able to very quickly determine what was wrong with me furnace and explain to me exactly which parts were broken. He recommended that I buy a new furnace since mine was 18 years old,but also explained the options for fixing my current furnace so I never felt pressured to buy a furnace for them. I did decide to go with a new furnace and the sales person, Brendan,came out that Monday. He gave me an estimate that included three different furnaces and was very helpful going over the differences of all three of them. He also didn't pressure me and actually recommended one of the less expensive furnaces as better for my needs rather than the most expensive one. The installation technician was about an hour and a half late but he kept in touch and let me know when he was going to be there and he was very apologetic. The installation was very quick and the technician cleaned up everything when he was finished. He also made sure to show me how the thermostat worked as well as the power switch and gas shut off were on the new furnace. Brendan came out a few days later to doa walk-through, make sure everything was done properly and make sure that I was happy with everything. Another great thing: all the people who worked at my house on this were really great about my dogs. The dogs are sweet but a little hyper and some people are bothered by them, but all these guys had dogs and were completely fine with having the dogs in the house.

I still smell gas in that particular area, so I don't think that the leak was totally resolved. I still like them though, and I am going to hire them to install a gas water heater. I think that they seemed very honest and knowledgeable. Even though I feel that it isn't totally take care of, I understand that it is a tricky thing to pin down exactly where the leak is. I asked them if they could install a gas fireplace for me, but unfortunately they said it would be very difficult, and they wouldn't recommend it. They did tell me about the tax credit that you can get right now for gas water heaters. I was greatful to know abou that, because I didn't know about it. I feel comfortable having hired them now. They did follow up afterwards.

Appointment with sales person (Jeff Wood) on time. Appointment for installation on time. Price slightly better than other estimates (one for the same furnace). Air leak discovered after installation and it was corrected in two days to our satisfaction. Seems like a good company to deal with.

We recently moved into our turn of the century home and wanted to make sure we got all the ductwork cleaned out prior to moving in. I called Ballard Power Vac based on Angie's List reviews and had a good initial experience with the woman scheduling appointments. I explained to her what our timing constraints were (cleaners, new floors getting refinished) and she was very helpful in scheduling. They were able to come out a few days later, on a Saturday, which was incredibly helpful. Matthew was our technician and he was very friendly, personable, and professional. We found him to be very efficient and concentrated on getting the work done as quickly as possible. The house IS old and we knew that it wasn't particularly energy efficient. Modest bit of selling (i.e. replace the water heater, insulation, etc) but that's to be expected I suppose. The price tag for the service was, in our view, a bit steep. Theoretically it only needs to be done every 3-5 years so the price might be justified but it did feel high nonetheless.

They are very nice and helpful. We call them every 3 years to do this maintenance. They are always on time and thorough. They clean up after themselves and are very respectful. They communicate well with the us and let us know when we should fix an item and things to watch. Their price is probably as good as anyone else offering this same service. We will continue to use them in the future.

Quick and professional estimate, discussed the different options for installing the tankless heater. Arrived on time for the installation and everything was completed on time. The end result looks very professional and clean. With their instant rebate and PSE's rebates and tax credit the actual cost will be much lower that 4k.

BNG was very responsive and provided an estimate quickly. I sat on the estimate for 4 months before deciding on the work. They were never pushy and maintained the price when I was ready to begin work. I also had them clean the ducts. The work was done efficiently and with a high quality level. Both the furnace and hot water heater were on the third floor of the house. Geoff Wood, the sales person came out at the end of the job and went through all the operations. They did a great job and I would use them again. I would also note that my brother had his furnace replaced with a heat pump earlier in the summer. BNG also did this work and he is very pleased. Pricing was a bit stiff but the units are really nice and give even heat distribution.

Provided all the information requested and was always available to answer questions and take care of misc matters. The installer was also very professional, on time, and did a great job! We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The experience was good with them. They came out to give the estimate, explained everything very clearly about the services and allowed us to make the choice that we wanted in terms of the new furnaces. They went away after giving me all the information and gave us time to think about the whole thing. Their service was not the cheapest, but they tried to give me the best and they were very attentive. There was some problem with the wall after the furnace was installed and I had to call them back to fix it. They were also very good about coming out right away and fix that problem. They did a very good job and I am totally happy with the furnace.
