After supposedly fixing my hot tub problems my hot tub wasn't fixed. I had ask that I be called when the technician came out because I don't live at the residence. They didn't let me know untill 5 minutes before arrival, and I had sent directions to Shirley, because the house is difficult to find, but the technician apparently doesn't know how to read directions. They said they fixed the problems, but the hot tub still made a very loud noise and the circulation pump stayed on all the time. What I discovered is that Posey only fixed a partial piece of the Aquaflow pump system which had failed, they replaced the and quot;wet endand quot;, instead of replacing the entire Aquaflow pump and motor. If the pump was not working, it stands to reason the motor would also have been damaged trying to turn a broken pump, but Posey (and most hot tub repair companies) do this technique of replacing only 1 part so that they can be called out again. Each time they buy any part, they attempt to mark it up $100 to $150. Thus if they get to purchase 2 parts - they get double their mark ups and another $300+ for labor to install. So they ate up $850 of the max $1000 allotted from the home warranty company for spa repair, and they didn't fix the problem. I had to get another service company to install an entire Aqua Flow pump. When Posey did the job, they had to take the old pump off the motor to install the new and quot;wet endand quot;. When they did, they didn't fasten the motor down to the wood. It rattled so bad, that is what all the noise was about. When I tried to get the Home Warranty company to have Posey come back out and fix the problem correctly, Posey told the Home Warranty Company that the motor was working when they attached the new pump. Obviously they didn't stay and listen to the motor begin making a loud rattle and hum. My hot tub guy in Kona Hawaii (I own several homes with hot tubs) said this is quite a common shady and quot;tacticand quot; amongst hot tub technicians to make more money, because parts have become so cheap over the internet, being sold at wholesale to the public, that hot tub repair companies don't make enough money. Well, I say this is a very BAD technique. I won't ever recommend POSEY to anyone. I expect a technician to view the system they are working on, and tell me the entire truth and look out for my best interest when making repairs. If they say, and quot;you should really fix this while we are fixing that, so that it won't cost you extra labor to come backand quot; in the future- that is what I expect. How could Posey do any of this with NO COMMUNICATION? The technician didn't call me when he left. Usually I give my credit card info to the tech for the home warranty deduction, but they kept saying give it to Shirley. I'm a busy person and on the phone a lot. Shirley said she tried to call me, didn't get an answer and went ahead and billed the Home Warranty company for the $60.00. Then, because of this, the Home Warranty Company deactivates my warranty! Shirley had my email address but never emailed me.....

"[Member Name Removed] lives in Hawaii.. My story is a little different than hers. She is a very demanding. She wanted to set exact appointment and I told her I cannot give her exact but would set a 2 hour window, since there's always a chance we may run late at a previous appt. That made her furious. She said she owns several houses in Hawaii and doesn't have time to sit around and wait.?? She made 3 appointments and each time no-one was there. We never charged for all the trips. The distance is approximately 25 miles one [Member Information Removed]. We finally were able to check it. The equipment was old one pump was not running and a second one was about to go out. She gave us permission to put in the one pump only. We put it in and then the other one that was barely working also went out. This is common. She blamed us. She said she didn't need either one so I volunteered to remove them and put the ones we took out back in. She would not do that and said she didn't want us on the property."

Provider showed up on time; got right to work, had the equipment he needed to do the job, was pleasant and professional. When he finally was able to get the light replaced; he repaired a transformer that a former provider had told me didn't work and had cut the wires. He went to his truck and brought back what he needed to rewire the transformer and got the light working. I did not expect the light to work again; just wanted the light back in the wall. I am more than pleased and look forward to having the light again this summer. Thank you, Kirk.

easy to get a timely appointment. set price for an hour of service. less than 10 minutes spent. took out fuse and put it back in. spa worked for a few hours, then dead. called, again. He came again, did same thing. the spa has been working perfectly since.

While fixing an issue like this sounds simple, my experience with other repair services for the same problem generally results in unsatisfactory results. So many times they "troubleshoot" by replacing parts until something works. This was the first time using Posey's and I could not be more satisfied. They are responsive and appear to be totally honest...refreshing.
