TILE LINES

These folks are marvelous. Patient, effective and very good at what they do. The kitchen went so well that I went back to them for the bathroom. And, when I was stuck about the bath, they were right there for me to help figure it out. I bought a remanent for the counter that solved my design problems and added a great deal to the look of the room. My work is done, but if it wasn't I'd certainly go to them again.

I don't like to give any business a bad review, but in this case it really is deserved. The granite counter tops I ordered were for a rental home that I own. I didn't have much time between old renters and new renters to get the counters installed, so I scheduled the installation appointment a month in advance. The installers showed up on a Friday morning and spent all of 45 minutes installing the countertop. After they left, I realized that they didn't put in the bracket to attach the dishwasher to the underside of the counter. There were also flaws in the counter finish. I called Tile Lines, and they told me that it would be Monday before they could get the installers back out to install the dishwasher bracket (the same day my new renters move in). They told me the installers would be there between noon and 4 on Monday. So, after taking half a day off from work on Monday, I waited at the rental home for 4 hours from noon to 4 and the installers never showed up. I called Tile Lines and they said it wasn't their fault, and that their installer was an independent company. They said they would come out on Tuesday, and I took another half day off of work. It wasn't until after the installer left on Tuesday, that I realized the bracket was installed crooked. I was tired of dealing with these jokers and the dishwasher is installed crooked to this day. Oh yeah, Tile Lines said they would give me a 10% discount for the problems. I have never received it. I received a mailer from Tile Lines today. I thought it might finally be my 10% discount, but it was a form letter thanking me for my business and asking me to leave a review on Angies List. Here you go,

They were an outstanding people, good pricing, good product selection and good supply. Their pricing was competitive and their responsiveness to people was far just far as superior to other people.

Our new basement bathroom is beautiful and it stays warm with the heated floor. This is one of my favorite projects we have done.

They were installers through the Home Depot group. I had no dislikes; it was a pretty simple job. They were on the time scheduled and followed up. The labor knew what they were doing; they got it in and got it out. It was fine; I have not had any issues since then.

It went pretty smoothly.  There were lots of changes and additions, refunds and charges.  It got confusing, mainly because I wasn't sure what all of the products were that we ordered, but Rita stayed right on top of it.  There was a problem with one of the tiles we ordered, probably due to an over site of the manufacturer.  The installer had to pull back and wait about 10 days for more tile to come in.  Other than that, I have to say, Tile Lines was wonderful.  I would definitely use them again, especially Rita.  She even helped me pick out paint colors, and Tile Lines doesn't sell paint!    

The class was four hours long and very thorough. He answered all of our questions and gave us the confidence to complete the work on our own.  He has a rotation and offers classes every week about various different projects. His service is excellent.

They are exceptional. I couldn’t say anything bad about them. They are professional, knows their stuff and they have quality tiles and stuff. They are very helpful. They are very informative about laying the tiles and what to do. They told us how to lay down the tiles and the steps and stuff because there are multiple steps. They are good at designing a pattern and stuff like that. They are on the money. They might be a little bit higher but it’s just good quality. You get a good selection.

They did an excellent job.  It was and excellent experience. I remember thinking that it was a terrific deal. I can't speak too highly of them. Their knowledge of the materials, and their grasp of what we were trying to do is what was good. They did not try to up sell anything, and worked with us to come to an economical solution.

The work took about 5 days longer than expected because Darren is a stickler for perfection. He was so professional; I felt completely great about the extra time because we could see the quality and care. He drove from his home every day - about 70 miles one way! - to be on time and complete the job. He is THE COMBINATION of artist and consummate professional. I am delighted to recommend him and really encourage people to go to the showroom in Kent.

I LOVE THE STAFF AT TILE LINES.   We have used them for other purchases and jobs and have found them all to be personable, excellent listeners, great at making design recommendations after we told them what we were looking for and very patient.  The customer service aspect of this business comes thru loud and clear.  Their list of tile installers is also a great resource to folks looking for quality contractors who are not top dollar. I liked the service very much.  They were very helpful and informative.  They helped me pick out what I needed.  I had to call them back and they even did some stuff over the phone for me.  The quality was very good.  They even gave me information about who to get to install the tiles.  I used their recommended installer too, who was very good.  I didn't do a lot of comparison pricing.  The quality of work was excellent.

I went in looking for floor tile for bathroom remodel.  Also considered granite countertop for floor cabinet.  Darren was first person I talked to.  He is the most helpful, accommodating, and patient sales person I have ever dealt with.  (I am a senior citizen and have never
done anything like this before.)  We discussed different options and he answered all my questions and did not rush me to make a
quick decision right then.  After changing my mind about the granite, he helped me with finding a Corian fabricator and installer.
With Darren's help, I eventually made all my decisions  I also found a general contractor with a referral from them.
The store is great and will be better after they move to their new location in January.  BUT Darren, Darrell and the rest of the staff are
the real assets to the company.   Their dedication to customer service is extraordinary, and with a inexperienced customer like me,
their patience is awesome!!   Even though my purchase was not that much, I felt that I received the same time and attention as 
another customer spending a whole lot more.

The class was informational, complete, and when we walked away feeling like we could really do it.

The experience was just fine. They are very knowledgeable about their products and processes and very helpful from the day we saw them.

I had just gotten granite counters and was planning to do the backsplash myself, looked at tile at the big box store for tile and wanted more selection so I drove to Tile Lines. Wow! They have a lot of different products and ideas in their space! Lots and lots of ceramic tile, natural stone and glass. Rita helped me narrow the choices- despite the fact that I had no photos and no granite sample (get this when you do your counters!!) she was soooo helpful and knowledgeble and very, very patient, as were the others who helped along the way. After checking out some samples and deciding what looked best at home, I came back and got absolutley everything I needed for the job, including renting a tile saw, grout, tools, etc. etc. Did the job the next day and then returned the extra, unused items the next day when I returned the saw. Everyone I worked with there was very helpful and patient- amazing customer service. They also offer classes on how to do various tile jobs- I may try that next time.
