Door to Door Storage was founded in 1996, and was the first portable moving and storage company in the market. The idea for portable storage containers was developed as an alternative to the hassle of renting an unreliable truck, and moving precious personal belongings into a rented storage facility. The risk of crime, fire and harsh weather conditions in these facilities makes them unappealing to people looking for storage. In over twelve years of business, Door to Door Storage facilities have never had a break in or fire, allowing customers to be certain that their belongings are safe and secure. 7 feet tall and 8 feet deep, Our process… Step 1: We deliver containers to your door. Step 2: You pack, and can hold a room to a room-and-a-half of furniture, and lock the containers. Step 3: We pick up your containers and store, condensation and mold., load, or 40-50 medium-sized boxes. The breathable, or deliver them to your new residence. Everyone that we worked with was very professional.  We moved from Maryland to Colorado earlier this month and everything went smoothly.  The crates were delivered on time and picked up on time.  The representative in Denver who we worked with, Brett, was extremely helpful.  He even went to our new home beforehand to see where the crates could be delivered and worked with our building to allow delivery in the parking lot.  He went above and beyond the service I would have expected.  There was no damage to our possessions and everything was in as good a shape when it arrived as when it left.  I would caution people to review the size of the crates though before deciding how many are needed.  The ones we got were smaller than we had thought and it was tough to get all our stuff in 3 crates (we had a 1.5 bedroom apartment).  We actually had to give away some stuff which was cheaper than ordering a 4th crate.  Overall, we were very happy with them though and would use them again.

The experience was awesome.  Everyone I worked with was very professional.  The storage bins were dropped off and picked up on time.  They always called ahead to make sure we new they were coming.  What made the experience an A+ for us was when we realized we need a 6th bin and they moved their schedule around to make sure we got it that day! They were awesome.  Absolutely no complaints.  Will recommend them to everyone.  Hopefully won't move again for another 20 years, but if we do, I will give them a call.  Thanks!

The loading of the box went well except that the box size was smaller than expected and one of our furniture pieces did not fit.  Door-to-door gave us an estimated delivery date of 10 days after the day we loaded it.  Since we were on somewhat of a tight schedule and would only by at the delivery destination for 2 weeks, we called the company 2-3 times during the following week and a half to confirm that the box was going to be delivered on schedule.  We were told that it was in route, but the ETA had changed and it would arrive 4 days late (one business day late due to a holiday weekend).  We were then called a few days afterwards and told that the box had actually never left the initial departure point and that it was now scheduled to arrive 11-12 days late.  A few days later they told us that there was good news and the box would arrive the following day, but then called us back and said they made a mistake.  Multiple attempts were made to clarify what was going on, why the box had been in the same place for over a week, and also to speak with someone at Door-to-door that had direct contact with the people that were transporting the box.  The company seems to have a policy making it difficult to speak to anyone other than the customer service agents that answer the phone, even though they would usually not have accurate information or would serve as a go-between relaying information from a supervisor to the customer.  After a lot of frustration, it took 4-5 days to actually speak to the supervisor that was in direct contact with the people moving the box.  Though it took some pushing for the supervisor to remain in regular contact with us, she eventually got the box delivered.  It ended up arriving 8 days late (including the holiday weekend).  The items did arrive without any significant damage.

Overall it went great, I think my only complaint is that I had to deal with 4 hour delivery window,no pickups on Sunday and the lock hasps were in need of repair.  As for the delivery they never went beyond their window and their drivers call when your delivery time is close.  Just make sure to setup your movers after the window and allow 30 mins just in case. For the locks, I had to purchase two extra locks to be able to fit on the problem lock hasps.  Ad a bit of time to run to Home Depot after you receive them, I had to grab two locks with really long necks to work. Their abiltiy to pick up without me having to be there was a plus, since I had to work in their delivery windows.

They were reasonable.  They worked well and even did the moving in the rain and there were no issues.  There was damage to one of my pieces of furniture and we are negotiating a reduction in price to address that and I was fine with that.  They were quick.  They gave me a receipt for the stuff that I was towing afterwards.  I spent a little over $400 on that service.  It was fairly a small move, but it was still a reasonable price.

Our experience with Door To Door was good. I felt they were prompt, on time and their people were nice to work with. I wish they had more variety in terms of the different units they have, more specifically bigger, for a sofa and larger items. I wish I would have known that before I signed up. The price was a little high. They do store everything in a climate control area, which makes up for the fact that the units are just fair.

I moved here from South Florida and always heard horror stories about moving companies. I was very apprehensive with the first move but they surpassed my expectations. They are just so awesome and it is such a great service! Their customer service is wonderful and I've never had any problems with them. They give you a greater discount every time you use them again. My only complaint would be that the wood boxes get a little warped. I highly recommend them and I would absolutely use them again.

Delivery was on schedule, as was pick up. The storage facilities are great - climate controlled - and we were very impressed with their security checks when we would come to visit our containers. All in all this was a great service for us and we would highly recommend Door to Door.

It was great. It was easy to set up. There was not too much back and forth. They had the list of anything that stood out to them and they let me know right away. They were clear when I needed to be there for delivery. They got their when they said it would be done. It was really easy. They delivered 100% as promised.

They beat the price of everyone else that I called on. I called on three different companies. My husband and I were deciding whether to keep the furniture or donate it to charity.They gave me a great rate, the rate for 12 months. In the end we ended up donating to charity so I didn?t need the pod and they still let me keep the 12 month rate. The remodel took longer than they thought it would. I would call every two weeks and they were very flexible and never charge a rescheduling fee. They were responsive and approachable. It was great customer service.
