Very frustrating, upsetting and I have a very bad feeling that I was OVERCHARGED for the work that was completed. 2 faucets should NOT cost that much and I want my siding repaired.

My experience was awful. I called because I had raw sewage backing up into my bathtubs. I called Beacon Plumbing because they had repaired my side sewer four years before and had given me a ten year guarantee on the work. The plumber (who works on commission) looked under my house and told me that I was having problems because the pipe under the house was broken. I authorized him to do the work for $1,100. Upon further, investigation, I found that the cause of the problem was the old overflow pipe that was not capped off when they did the work 4 years previously. When I complained to management and showed them the 10 year guarantee, they would not honor the agreement. I refused to pay the bill.

I really don't feel the toilet needed replaced, I had only purchased the condo 4 months ago and everything checked out in the inspection. I feel that the toilet could have been easily repaired, but they sold me a new toilet instead. They didn't even try to clear the line or do a repair, just wanted to replace the toilet. I called back after this job and got a quote from them on their most expensive "Gerber" toilet, and they quoted in the $600 range. I don't feel they should have charged me so much for the amount of work that they did.

Beacon called me 30 minutes before my appointment to reschedule a couple days out. The plumber showed up on the next scheduled date 1 hour late. My efforts to explain the job requirement went smooth. The plumber seemed knowledgeable. He looked the job over for 15 minutes and then took 5 more to write the bid. The bid was well above my highest expectation (nearly $2000). The price for installation of just a shower valve came to $800. I questioned this high price and suddenly he offered to take $200 of the bid. This was strange because he'd already said his prices were fixed. He then surprised me with a $50 service fee for the visit. Beacon never told me about this fee on either of my scheduling calls! I complained. He called a Beacon rep who claimed I was wrong. He then complained that he should be paid $50 for his ''1-hour visit'' (1 hour? It was only 20 minutes!). He then agreed to waive the $50 fee. By now I was pretty fed up with Beacon's shifty pricing. Sorry Beacon, not this time.

My son-in-law and I, mostly him, replaced the wax seal, inlet valve in one hour. Parts cost $20. It took me 4 minutes to clear the drain using a borrowed snake.

WHEN I FIRST LET THIS COMPANY KNOW I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO TAKE CARE OF A JOB AT MY ELDERLY MOTHERS HOME, AFTER EXPLAINING THAT I WASNT SURE WHERE THE LEAK WAS, THEY SUGGESTED I MIGHT CALL SOMEONE TO FIND THE LEAK FIRST BECAUSE IT COULD BECOME EXPENSIVE. I WAS SO HAPPY THAT THEY WERE CONCERNED WITH THAT, THAT I DECIDED RIGHT THEN TO USE THEM. THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND FOUND THE PIPE IN JUST OVER AN HOUR OR SO. THEN WITH FIXING IT, IT DIDNT TAKE THEM TOO LONG AT ALL.

THEY DID GREAT WORK AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY WERE EXPENSIVE. WE HAD A GUY NAMED BRAD DO THE WORK, AND HE WAS EXCELLENT. I WAS HAPPY WITH HIM EVEN WHEN I WAS NOT HOME. HE WAS TRUSTWORTHY.

BEACON PLUMBING DID EXCELLENT REPAIR WORK. THEY ALSO HAD VERY GOOD PRICES. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH EVERY ASPECT OF THIS SERVICE. I WOULD TELL ALL MY FRIENDS ABOUT THEM.
