+ -1 moreIt was a little misleading because the quote they gave us said installed in 3 days, it means from the time you bought the carpet. It was not the cheapest carpet but it is worth it. We have not had any problem with it. They reached us on time.

+ 0 moreI felt their pricing was high. We can go in and rent cement mixers, wheelbarrows or sanders if we want to refinish our hardwood floors. It's heavy duty equipment that some people won't have. We had had really cold weather, so there was some frost on the ground. I asked the gal there if I could rent the rototiller; I don’t know if she was the manager or she just worked there. She said that it had been freezing the past three or four days, and that they don’t rent their rototillers, because they always come back broke as the ground is too frozen. If the rototiller is going to break from the ground being frozen, I don’t want to rent it because it would break in my ground as it is clay. She didn’t want to do anything to try to help me nor did she give me any referrals to another rental company in the area that might want to rent me a rototiller. They are uncooperative. I could understand that not too many people would want to rent a rototiller in September, October or November. With regard to price, it was going to be very expensive to rent the rototiller that was going to break on me. I would take them into another consideration. If I can't find it anywhere, I would go there to look. But they won't be my first choice of a hardware store to go to.
Description of Work: I go to Home Depot for my hardware needs. Home Depot has a tool rental place. I wanted to rent a rototiller, so I walked in to the tool rental place.

+ 0 moreAll went bad. Home Depot would not help to solve the problem of my roof leaking in the winter rains. I had to tarp the roof and hope I didn't have to replace my complete roof.
Description of Work: I would strongly discourage anyone from hiring Home Depot to do any type of work on their house. I hired home depot to remove a wood shack roof and replace it with an owens-corning 50 year composition single roof. When the crew showed up at my house, no-one, including the supervisor spoke english. They appeared to have problems during the installation, but could not communicate with me as to what the problem was. They completed the job and left. A few days later a man who spoke english came to inspect the work. He told me the crew did a good job and all was good. About ten years later the roof started leaking like a sieve.I called Home Depot. They came out twice and told me the installation was good and they didn't know why the roof was leaking. They said my 7 year warranted had expired and there was nothing they could do. They suggested that I call Owens Corning and ask them to inspect the shingles. I did that and owens corning said they did not have inspectors. They suggested I remove two shingles and mail thjem in, with a mountain of paperwork. They said the review would take about three months. That did not address the problem that my roofin was leaking in the middle of a winter storm. I asked several roofing contractors to inspect the roof and recommend how to fix it All said they could explain why the roof was leaking. All said they would have to start removing shingles until they found the leak. None would give me an estimate of what that would cost. My interpetation was that they would need to replace the roof..

Their prices are very very good and I have never had any problems with the quality of anything that I’ve purchase there. I love them. I would continue to use them in the future.

+ -1 moreThey gave me an estimate of $67000.00. We were not serious about going ahead then, they did push me when I was in the store and they asked if I was interested in getting a bid, so I pursued that for kitchen remodeling. I thought that the price was crazy high. I ended up going with custom cabinet tray. The whole kitchen is being redone with new custom cabinet trays. There was much difference than what they quoted, the difference is staggering and ridiculously high, I even told them there is a mistake but she said she has rechecked. I indicated them that there is no way one can do something for that high. It just didn't seem right. I obviously would never have used them to do a kitchen reface at that expense. I wasted a lot of my time with them. It really was not helpful for me. May be she was brand new and seemed unsure of what she was doing.

+ 2 moreExcellent! Home Depot has great hours, convenient location, and an A+ staff. They have worked with us on deliveries, special orders, calling in orders for our contractors to pick up. We have been there at 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM - they are always helpful and have what we are looking for!
Description of Work: We purchased a project house and Home Depot has been our primary store for purchasing supplies. Supplies purchased: installation, flooring, drywall, wood, toilets, sinks, countertops, etc.

SOME OF THESE TILE WERE CHIPPED WHEN LAID WITH NO EFFORT TO REPLACE. WE HAD TO MEET WITH THE SUPERVISOR AND MANAGER AND MAKE NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS. WE FINALLY SETTLED FOR A PARTIAL REFUND.

+ -1 moreI WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OVERALL. THE CARPET INSTALLERS ARRIVED WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF THE SCHEDULED TIME AND WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND HAD THE JOB COMPLETE WITHIN 2 HOURS. THEY WERE GOOD ABOUT CLEANING UP WHAT MESS THEY MADE.
Description of Work: I HAD CARPET INSTALLED IN A SMALL ROOM IN MY HOME. I DID ALL THE OLD CARPET REMOVAL ON MY OWN AND HAD THE CONTRACTOR LAY NEW PAD AND INSTALL THE CARPET.
