I used PODS when I moved and had a few months between permanent housing. PODS delivered and picked up at two locations, and stored my stuff for about 3 months. I didn't need to access anything during that time, but felt comfortable with what was required if I needed to do so. When one of my PODS was delivered to my house, the driver had a challenging time getting it into place and there was quite a bit of sloping of the POD... which of course meant a shifting of what was inside. I was so nervous, that I just watched and worried. I wish I would have grabbed my camera to take photos or video... because there was damage. Contents had moved so much that I couldn't open the door and could see that several items had shifted. PODS denied my claim and said it was due to impromper packing. Yes, the packing could have been better. That said, I used one of their recommended packing companies, and the scratches/dents on the furniture would have been caused be constant jarring. I would use PODS again... however if I do so, I would make sure I get insurance and I would also be ready to document any significant movement in the pickup/delivery of the POD when full.

The delivery and POD container it self were in mostly good working order. The door was a bit rough but the unit did not allow any water in it during heavy rain. The main issue I had was the company not sticking to their word about pricing and not getting back to me. When I originally ordered my 16' POD over the phone I advised I had a coupon code for $100 off after three months of having the POD. I confirmed that I would get the $100 off after three months even if the POD was stored on my property. The representative on the phone insured I would get the $100 off after three months. After the three months passed I called and asked about the $100 off and was told that I could not get the $100 off because I was not storing the POD at their location. I told them I had been assured I would get the $100 off even when stored on my property and I was told I would be contacted in a few days. I NEVER HEARD BACK AT ALL. I was extremely disappointed and decided to have my POD moved to storage and then to our new home as soon as possible. Once I had the POD at my new home I called and had it removed right away so I did not have to pay any more money.

It is a really great service. They are really good about scheduling and calling before they get here. They were efficient and professional. They are great and right on time. They are great at communication; they call me the night before.
