He was very nice. He filled up the all vents with all the paper and tape so when he worked on the other vents it wouldn't go through to the next house. I have a large house know and the price goes by the number of vents. They give you an estimate before they start. He used to take off his shoes when he came in.

The owner of the company (Dave, I think his name was) was very helpful in explaining their services when I called. It was easy to estimate the cost based on my description of the duct system, and it was easy to schedule a time. The serviceman arrived exactly on time. He was friendly, efficient, respectful of my house, and instructive about what he was doing. This was an ideal contractor experience.

I called around and asked for recommendations and a local heating and air conditioning company said they send people to Howie's. I wasn't so sure about the big vacuum truck with the air billows - when they were inflated a bunch of dust came out and blew down the street, but it seemed to pull enough of a vacuum to work to get the house clean. I thought this company used brushes, but the tech did used an "air whip" of some kind which he said removed dirt in the ducts. Overall, he said they weren't that dirty, which is about what I expected, but they have been dirty enough to trigger my asthma.

Good work across the board. Price was not a steal, but you get what you pay for.

Keith and Michael did an excellent job! The house smells better, and my family is no longer coughing and sneezing when the furnace is running. Keith also discovered that my gas furnace was not connected to the exhaust fan, and he connected it. Numerous people have looked at my furnace and no one ever said that there was a problem. (They were recommended by EASTSIDE Heating and Air Conditioning) During initial call, the person took the time to get an accurate estimate by asking questions. This was much better than the first place I called, which could do the furnace maintenance and HVAC for $360, but gave me a straight quote without asking questions. Anthony and Mikael, a new technician, arrived on time, were very professional and friendly, and very thorough and careful while working. Antonio explained how to change filter. He pointed out that furnace was installed without providing easy way to change the filter; also that this filter is the temporary/small filter that comes with the furnace - will be difficult to change without removing the furnace. Should have another filter installed in an easy to access location, either DIY or service. He explained what the residue was around the furnace - ash from getting too hot because filter not changed enough. Could cause the heat exchanger to overheat and need to be replaced. They were carefull and ensured dust would not be blown back into house. Antonio explained how this could happen if you don't take precautions. He explained hose hookup options. In our situation, could either remove furnace or access from crawlspace. Was able to remove furnace, and reinstalled correctly and efficiently. He explained that the servicing could last 5-7 years, or even longer if not sensitive to dust (allergies). Overall it was a great experience and I felt better that I spent the money for a high quality job.

The technician, Keith, was on time and very professional and friendly. He explained in detail what was going to take place and how the work would be done. He was very thorough and careful in his work. Not only did he do what was expected, he was extremely aware of his surroundings and made sure to not hit anything in our home with his hoses. He allowed me to "tag along" to watch what he was doing and answered all of my questions. He also showed me how to remove, clean and replace the electrostatic filter. It was amazing how much lint he was able to clear out of our extremely long dryer vent. Overall, it was a very good service call. It was more expensive than quotes I got from some other companies, but I feel the work included was probably more extensive than the other companies would have provided.

The company was very professional from the first phone contact through the work being done. The technician who did the work took time to explain various parts of our system and discuss options. (We were particularly interested in reducing odors, in addition to wanting a general cleaning of the system.) He was obviously well-trained and experienced. While the cost was more than we had paid in the past, it was a far superior and much more professional job. (We had gone the less expensive route in the past that resulted in damage to some ductwork that wasn't discovered for several months when we found cold air coming into two rooms through the damaged vents.) We will definitely hire them again for any services they provide.

A representative came to our house to clean the duct work and the furnace. They were on time and professional. They cleaned everything very thoroughly. They did a much better job than another contractor that I had use in the past. Costs were as estimated over the phone.

they didn't show up during original 0800-0900 timeframe. emailed them at 1045. they responded to the email and left me a voice mail saying their worker mixed up his 1st and 2nd appts. i was the first. he went to the 2nd appt. first. company said they could do the work this same day, to arrive between 1200-1330. it's now 1458 and they're still not here. so, i'll be canceling this work and finding another company.

They were much more thorough than any service I have ever used. It is expensive, but if you are concerned about allergies and efficiency of heating system I would recommend them.

It went very well. Brian, the service tech was friendly and quick. He answered questions we asked; made an effort to keep the house clean; and took great delight in some of the odd things that were sucked out of the ducts ... like a mummified crawdad that probably has been in the ducts from before we bought the house 20+ years ago. (Last cleaning company missed that one!)

Arrived on time. He was professional, knowledgeable. My basement is being remodeled and he set up around the other workers in the basement to minimize impacting their work. He worked efficiently and with no mess. After he cleaned up, he prepared a detailed bill which was below the estimate. I would definitely use them again.

They did 5 times better than any other company we have ever had. I would highly highly recommend this company. The cost was higher than others, but you pay for what you get and I was happy to pay what we did because the quality of work was so good.

The person who came out to do the work was excellent. He was knowledgeable, professional and thorough. I have a friend who used to do HVAC work and he gave me 'warnings', he knew some companies didn't do quality work. But everything my friend told me to look out for wasn't an issue. The service person did everything as it should be done! Very happy with their work.

His work was excellent. He answered all my questions. He did the work exactly as he said he would and it took the time he said it would.

Very well. Technician arrived, notified me that he was here, and then immediately began the work. Took approximately 30-45 minutes to complete the cleaning.

My heater is working well. That is what I payed for.

I was very happy with the service. Of course, no one can tell if the middle of the ductwork is totally clean, but the ducts are at least cleaner than they were before. And this house needed that.

It is a terrific service that I am very pleased with. I heard that some duct cleaning places are not thorough and more than likely blow things around. They have a truck mounted system and they work so hard at everything. I was impressed and they even showed me what they were doing. I would recommend them to other people any time.

They were all setup when they discovered what could be asbestos tape in some of the old registers (old house). Howie's wouldn't start the job until the suspect tape was removed. In spite of spending several hours at the house, they did not charge us for this first visit. We had the suspect tape removed and had Howie's come out again. They did a great job and it was a pleasure to work with them.

The staff at Howie's was very helpful in giving an estimate. After completion of the work, the staff member explained that because of the way our registers are designed that the air ducts were minimally dirty. He suggested that the air ducts be cleaned again only after major remodeling. This is one of the few times that a company explained we don't need their service except in extreme circumstances. It was a refreshingly honest attitude.
