Guardian Home Solution

After we got the first estimate for the window replacement we asked Brad to come back and give us a bid on only replacing half of the windows. He  proceeded to talk us into filling out an application to see if we qualify for financing to do all the windows at once. We filled out the application along with a form that we thought was an estimate of work to be done. Brad also asked for a deposit that he said he would hold until we could see if we could get financing. He proceed to justify us giving him money by telling us it looks better to the bank that we are putting money down much like a car loan or house loan. Brad was very nice and assured us that he was going straight home to his office to make copies of the documents and he would mail us our copies that day.  He also said that he would turn in our application and we should hear back from the bank the next day (this was a Wednesday). Brad made a very good impression and we trusted him to hold up to his end of the deal. On the following Monday we called him to tell him that we had changed our minds about financing the windows. We still had not received any correspondence back from the credit union about the financing and still had not received our copies that he promised to mail out last Wednesday. The next day he cashed our deposit check (Tuesday). When we called the next day to ask him why he cashed our check and tell him we wanted our money back he said it was too late, that we had signed a contract. He also proceeded to assure us that he would have the bank get ahold of us (we still hadn't heard from them) and that he hadn't mailed out our copies of the paperwork we signed but he would get right on it. It took him 2 weeks from the 11th to the 25th to finally give us a copy of the alleged "contract". It was not mailed but left on our doorstep. In the paragraph at the bottom right below the signatures it stated that we had until Saturday the 14th to cancel. If we would have had a copy we would have known that the third business day was a Saturday not a Monday. After asking around for advice on the matter and further looking over his version of a contract it was pointed out that there was corrections made with white out on the "contact" that were not initialed by both parties further making the contract void. We brought that to his attention and he has since quit answering our phone calls. 

This guy is very personable. he gave us the impression that he cared about us and our situation and he was going to try to help us get what we really needed (windows).

We expressed to him our concern over making payments and the interest rates, he allowed us to think that we were checking our options and finding something that would work for us. We were rushed for time the morning we signed the paperwork. No where on the form did it say "contact". He did not tell us we were signing a contract. He told us we were looking into financing. He never told us that Saturday was the third business day or give us the paperwork he promised, that would have told us we needed to cancel by Saturday. He was out  to screw us into a contract. We were a business day late trying to cancel. Brad has turned into an entirely different guy now that he has our money.

Brad is untrustworthy. I would highly recommend hiring a different contractor for your home improvement needs. 

Having already sat through a three High pressure sales pitch's I was really hesitant to have anyone else come out to my home and take hours of time. The only reason I wanted to get a fourth estimate was I really could not afford what the other companies were selling. I was assured that my guardian would be there to help me not pressure me. I was so IMPRESSED!!! They beat the other guys best price with the same window. The installation only took a day and these guys were neat Freaks. Made my wife smile when she heard a vacuum go on. The results are FAB! We love how much nicer our home looks and how easy they open and close plus no more Nasty mold and so quiet. Can't even hear my neighbors dog barking. My Guardian came out and did an inspection with me and always answered my questions. They were polite professional on time and experienced. I will definitely call them when I need my roof done.
