"This homeowner was unhappy with work done by the contractor who came after PuroClean completed it's work. Superior Court ruled in PuroClean's favor and client had to pay PuroClean. Client ultimately and correctly had to go after the contractor who did the repairs."
tearing out of my old cabinets because 3 COATS of the wrong paint was applied by Brad Hayden (he used LATEX paint)
a destroyed front door frame due to installation of the wrong door size by Brad Hayden
a large crack in the ceiling because Puro Clean employees were walking in the attic
replacing of wood planks in the ceiling because Puro Clean used the wrong wood and wrong stain color
destroyed carpet due to numerous paint drips during repainting
destroyed couch due to numerous cleanings because furniture was never put in a clean zone. (the furniture was cleaned but put right back in the smoky house so it reabsorbed the odor.) by Puro Clean
These are only a few problems caused by Brad Hayden and Neal Hayden and PuroClean
As if dealing with this gross negligence wasn't enough, and having to hire another contractor to fix these problems, Neal Hayden expected to get paid the full $31.000 when I had to use over $10,000 to pay another contractor to get my house back to pre-fire condition. My insurance company did not pay me twice, once to pay Neal/Brad Hayden for the screw ups and again to pay someone to fix the problems. I was paid one amount and I chose to pay Neal/Brad Hayden $21,000 and the use the remaining $10,000 to pay the other contractor and fix the damage. Neal was not happy with this even though he had agreed to take less money because he agreed I had to hire another contractor.
Neal Hayden SUED me this past summer for the $10,000 I used to pay someone else. He claimed that the person who screwed up my house was his son, Brad Hayden, who was working for himself under his own business. Neal explained that Brad was working for him and PuroClean when he was wiping down walls in my kitchen, or tearing up the floor but Brad was working for himself when he picked up a paint brush or began fixing my front door. Therefore, Neal claimed it was his son, Brad who screwed up my house, not PuroClean. He told me to sue his son for the money I was out. The real cherry on top is that Brad Hayden's "company" was not licensed, bonded or insured. A fact that I believe Neal Hayden was well aware of when he brought Brad into my home on the day of the fire. Neal Hayden claimed that I hired his son Brad to do the repair in my home (you know, the painting instead of wiping down walls) I had no idea I had hired Brad Hayden, there was no business card, no contract, no conversation stating that when Brad was painting he was no longer working for PuroClean. Ironically, this "business" is no longer in business so there is no one to sue.
