The estimate I was given was very much off. I gave the dispatcher a list of tasks, and she estimated it would take a couple of days. But it took far longer than that, and hence a lot more money. The contractors were not always punctual, and we had some scheduling mixups. Some of the repairs were shoddy. It really depended on which guy was doing the work. One guy was really great, but the other guys not so much. Some of the repairs I could have done a better job on, and I'm an amateur remodeler. I got the feeling that Mr. Handyman is set up to do small tasks, less than one day. They should have told me that when I called and set up the appointment, since I was up front about how much work needed to be done. Do not use them for large projects or large batches of small projects.

He did a quick and good job. He was very nice and pleasant person and he covered up everything in room during his work.

The range hood that came built in our house wasn't vented to go outside - instead it blew the smoke into our kitchen which was awful. We bought the parts needed but chickened out and decided to have a handyman do the installation. The whole experience from start to finish was very good. From the first call I made, to the guy who did the work, to their follow up afterward, all were professional and pleasant. We will hire their services again.

He did a great job and we thought the price was quite reasonable. This was a project that we didn?t want to do but he took care of it. It was a heavy, dusty, and obnoxious job because our house was built in the 1950s and you never know what you?ll find behind those walls. We called to ask about the job and he came that night to take care of it; he was here within 2 hours. He was as professional as a guy with a crowbar can be!

I called for service one day and the next day Terry arrived at 8:00AM to do the work. He cleaned the chimney and did a very good job. It looks almost new though it is 40 years old.

I had some other work that I also wanted to get an estimate for, but didn't because the handyman they sent out seemed unfamiliar with the work.

Overall I thought the service man was professional and did an excellent job.

Once again, dealing with this company was a dream! I called early on May 28 and left a message. Geneva quickly returned my call, and we talked about what I wanted. I tried to describe my cabinets over the phone, which was difficult. Geneva suggested sending a digital photo - a great idea. Instead she called Lane to ask if he remembered the cabinets since he had installed a ceiling fan in my kitchen two weeks prior. He did and was able to give a two day estimate for the work. Geneva and I scheduled the work for the following week. Diane called the night before to confirm. Lane showed up when expected, "got" what we wanted, and warned us that our kitchen would stink for a couple days from the finish. He was able to do all the work without me being home, which was important to me. He was able to complete the job half day early. The finished kitchen cabinets look great. It's exactly what I wanted and better than I expected.

It went very well. They were able to do all estimates and work without me being home. Work was started and completed on time. Lane made recommendations and alternatives for rotted crawl space floor. Even though this was not included in the original estimate, Lane was able to complete work within the estimated time at no extra expense to us. Everyone (Karl, Steve, Diane and Lane) was very nice, professional and informed. They did a great job keeping in touch and providing status so I was never confused.

Lane exceeded my expectations! Not only was all the work done as scheduled, but Lane selected and purchased the ceiling fan on my behalf after the replacement fixture I selected didn't work for the electrical connection. We also appreciated the extra gift of coffee mug and candy. In the future, these guys will be my first call for anything I need done, just in case they can do it.

They were quick to respond and schedule and arrived on time. He started work immediately and removed the old door with no time lost. The new door installation took about three hours (as expected) but then hit a snag in that it needed a strip to make it line up with the existing wall. This took another four hours and didn't end up looking the best. He cheated and didn't shim the door evenly in the opening (placed against one side) so now the trim is nothing by the hinges and 1/2" on the latch side. My wife looked these guys up and I think their service is decent but their pricing is absurd.

Mr. Handyman arrived promptly, checked to make sure he wouldn't be cutting into any structural members, then removed a piece of wood large enough to get a hand and shop vac into. Turns out there was no dead rat, just a big rat's nest. It only took him an hour to get rid of all the debris. He also fastened a curtain rod that he noticed was loose. After he was done he asked if there was anything else I needed from him, as they charge a 2-hour minimum. So, I had him fix a latch on a fence gate and drill a hole for the latch pull cord. I am happy with the work and it was a positive experience. I felt I got more than my money's worth due to the "gross" factor of extracting the rat's nest, which consisted of urine-soaked insulation and plenty of rat droppings.

Representative arrived on time. Was neat and careful with work.

They were very professional. They postponed the scheduling, so it took longer than I had planned. I would compare other prices before I hired them again.

Fantastic communication (called a day before on the two occasions they came out to do work), very prompt, friendly/courteous, and did a great job.

Had to book a couple weeks in advance. Arrived on time and was very pleasant. I showed him things I wanted done. First thing was to install "filler strip" to cover gap between wall and rangetop, two brackets, 4 screws. Then install rangehood: needed to measure for and drill holes in existing shelf [where previous hood had been], hang new hood under shelf, connect hood exhaust/transition to existing ductwork, connect "cord kit" to plug into existing outlet. Took 3 hours: at $100 per hour [$248 for two hr minimum + $94 per hour after that], plus a $15 fuel charge = over $350 [plus tax, totaled almost $390]. Did not get to the other, more complicated tasks [moving electrical outlet and repair/replace door frame that has dryrot] because he didn't have all materials needed AND I realized I couldn't afford to pay $100 per hour for this kind of work done at this pace.

Mr. Handyman did an excellent job. They showed up on time and completed all the work within one day. Their craftsmen were professional and courteous. Their office staff was cordial and helpful. I had occasion to speak with the franchisee (Karl-Heinz) after the work was completed and he was also very helpful.
