The service was wonderful. These guys are like my best friends. I have actually referred them to my neighbor who is a couple doors down; they did an excellent job and they were very happy with them also. The decorative edging came out beautiful. They were so neat, clean, and friendly; I kept giving them something to eat and drink; they were just great. I was never so impressed with a company ever.

Rich was punctual with his estimate, both written and verbal. He understood my project perfectly and gave me a fair estimate, which was barely edged out by the contractor I ultimately chose. His number was right in the middle of a field of 5 or 6, which ranged from $3500 to $6000. Rich expressed confidence - and competence - about concrete, and communicates directly and effectively. If I need another job done (which is likely) I will definitely consider an estimate from ACS.

So very pleased. Patio looks fantastic and Rich and the crew were very professional. We always knew what was going on and they always showed up when they said they would. Really excellent work and excellent communication. Price was also competitive with other bids. Highly recommend.

Rich and his crew did an amazing job. He was always on time, he called to confirm appointments. His work was excellent - very professional. He made sure to get all the details right, and always informed us exactly what he was doing and why. Afterward they did a complete job cleaning up the site. We were very happy with his work and would hire them again.

The owner, Rich, and his crew did a beautiful job on our new driveway! We were in long need of a new one. We had a very long driveway and it was full of cracks and uneven spots. All Concrete Surfaces came in and demolished the old concrete driveway, hauled it away, regraded, installed forms and installed rebar grid prior to the concrete pour. When the concrete was poured it was done so professionally and just as we discussed prior to the contract being signed. Even our neighbors came out to see what was being done and made comments as to how nice the project looked. Except for the Seattle weather holding some of the project time up everything went as scheduled. The crew was always on time and Rich would call to confirm any changes due to weather. They always answered any questions or concerns that we had in a timely and professional manner. When the driveway was complete they did a nice job cleaning up everything! Our walkway will be completed this week (again weather delays) but it will be worth it. The original and first stage of the pour and stamping looks beautiful without it even being complete. The stamped concrete is really a lovely addition to the house and I would recommend it to anyone thinking about it. We have been very pleased with All Concrete Surfaces and would use them again if we had another project and also recommend them to anyone looking for a great concrete project company. From beginning to end it was a hassle free job. Thanks guys!!

Rich is awesome. He shows up on time, is a great communicator, he gave us a bid and was able to schedule us right away. Everyone else we received bids from either showed up late (or not at all). The other bids were much higher and they wanted to do additional work we weren't interested in. I think most companies didn't want the job because it was pretty small.

Rich and his helper did a great job on this. Rich was great about finding a time to come out and give us an estimate and was able to do the work right away. The whole job was done in one day and they did a great job of cleaning everything up. Our new step looks great!

Rich's assitance in getting thru the city permit process was what made this job happen, even though it was something we agreed was my responsibility - he had the knowledge of how to move thru the process. The job was done on schedule weather permitting, as agreed for each section, and at the price he provided. Absolutley no surprises and complete satisfaction that what I expected to be able to do with the expanded driveway was exactly what I could do once I could drive on it. I would 100% without hesitation recommend or use All Concrete Surfaces again.

There were no surprises and Rich stuck to his estimated price for the project which made planning and paying for the project much easier. We also truly appreciated that he was completely up front on costs and options and didn?t try to up sell us on options, which was great. Super friendly low key service, and Ricj is the estimator, sales rep and job supervisor so you deal with one guy throughout which is awesome. Once of the key things to remember in doing a concrete deck in the Pacific Northwest is that you have to plan around the rain for the pour and set of the concrete and Rich did a really good job of setting our expectations on this and was super responsive to letting us know when he was coming so we could get ready as we had to get our dogs out of the way. The demolition went super-fast and smooth as did the mold set up and pour. When you do concrete it's a multi-day project and Rich did a great job of laying this out for us. I would also add that Rich and his team are true craftsmen and really care about the look of the finished product. They have amazing attention to detail and really care about their work.

The crew showed up right when they said they would and after double checking all the critical dimensions started cutting a four by eight foot square out of my garage slab. They removed all the debris and hosed down all the dust from the garage floor and driveway. They dug out all the dirt to make room for 8" footings and a 4" thick slab. Then they installed rebar. The next day they came back and poured concrete which the height of the finished concrete was very critical and I would say they hit the mark within 1/16 of an inch which is perfect. These guys listen to your needs and are great to work with. I wouldn't consider anyone else for my concrete needs. If you need one of these, Rich is a car guy and totally gets it.

Owner Rich came over to look at the job and emailed me an estimate the next day. Rich and his crew were able to start the work the following Monday. On the first day they removed the gravel and dug down to the needed depth and set the forms. The following day they cut the existing asphalt so there was a straight edge between the two surfaces. They also installed rebar and poured the concrete. The surface was finished with a broom finish to match other existing slabs. They left the site clean and came back a few days later to take off the forms. The slab turned out exactly like we wanted. Rich did an excellent job and I would highly recommend him.

I asked All Concrete Surfaces to pour some additional concrete areas to tie in with my existing exposed aggregate driveway to provide more space for parking cars and my boat. All my requirements were met, or suitable alternatives provided where I was asking for something that was not recommended for technical reasons. Apart from a small delay due to the weather, the team were prompt. Everyone was polite, worked hard, and provided me with a great end product. I would definitely recommend them.

Please see above, but bottom line is that All Concrete Surfaces is a rarity these days when it comes to service: 1) They are very responsive (bidding, prep, 2) They give a fair price for great quality and foliow-through 3)They are very communicative in terms of next the timing of next steps, weather/rain impacts, ..etc. 4) Clean-up is very thorough 5) The end-product is high-quality You will not regret using All Concrete Surfaces.

Rich was a pleasure to work with. He was very clear on timing of when everything would be done. We are in Seattle and we are entering the rainy season, so I was concerned that we would be delayed. Everything went according to plan, the backyard looks great, and since it is has been raining :) I have verified the concrete was correctly sloped to the drains! I will definitely use All Concrete again!

It did not go well. He did not show up.

I need to have my driveway repaved. Over a span of several weeks I called him at least 4 times. All but one time I left a message telling him what I needed and asking him to call me. One time I reached him and he said he would get back with me to confirm a date to meet me to provide a bid. On one of my calls, I left several possible times could meet with him. He not only never got back to me, but never returned any of my calls. If he is too busy to do this job, at least he could spend a minute to call me back and tell me that. This is very unimpressive customer service.

We selected All Concrete Surfaces (ACS), Richard Fredrickson's company after reviewing comments in both Angie's List and Consumers Checkbook. These previous very positive comments from both sources were accurate in respect to Rich's pricing, performance,and work product. Based on our first consultation with Rich and his positive innovative thinking, we expanded our scope from a driveway repair originally required to handle our water problem to our realization we needed to replace the entire driveway plus add a rear walkway. Calling Rich back for a second consultation and in consideration of our thinking, Rich suggested designs beyond our limited thinking. For the driveway he suggested a petite cross driveway drain for a positive water removal system and rather than a patchwork rear walkway suggested replacing both original cement pads with an integrated walkway including a step replacing a wood scab-on step, far improving the original troublesome path and our narrow ideas. in addition, our side graveled parking area contained a huge rock (calculated at 2&1/2 tons), which Rich was able to remove and place on a side planting area. This chore, which Rich gladly completed for us at no additional cost, allowed us to do a proper re-sculpting of the side area. At no time did Rich try to oversell us or promote an expanded project; Rich just offered his professional judgment in accomplishing our needs. We could not be more pleased at the outcome and strongly recommend ACS for any concrete work. To summarize: 1. A man of his word, for instance does what he says he will do. 2. Shows up on time 3. Works the entire time he is on the job 4. Does beautiful work ? end product shows quality work 5. Clean work site 6. Professional and polite work crew 7. Works long workdays to get the job done 8. Last week I had a cracked, peeling, aggregate walkway that was very prone to incursions of dirt and debris from the surrounding planting beds and also to moss growth. Because the walkway was slightly lower than the surrounding beds, it was also difficult to shovel the snow off it. There were two, overly high steps from the walkway to the porch, so that it was awkward to move a piece of furniture into and out of the house, and so that anyone with mobility limitations would find the entrance daunting. Now I have an absolutely perfect walkway that gently slopes up to a single, lower step, and that looks more welcoming and more integrated with the porch and the house. The walkway is higher than the planting beds so that debris will no longer accumulate on the walkway or cause moss growth on its surface. Snow can easily be pushed off the walkway to the sides. There is a very slight tilt to the walkway so that rainwater will drain away from the house. Here were the things I liked about All Concrete Surfaces work: 1. Design. The other contractors who gave me a bid on this work planned to replace the existing walkway. They did not suggest any improvements. Rich came up with a design that improved the function of the walkway. In fact, the redesigned walkway not only alleviated my issues with steps and with debris on the walkway, its design is much more pleasing. 2. Quality of employees. Rich's employees are knowledgeable, hard-working and professional. I worry my way through every project so it was a great relief to have people working on my walkway who could understand my concerns and give me clearly understandable, simple English explanations of what was being done. I also had some particular requests about parking with which the employees complied immediately and cheerfully, even when it meant extra effort on their parts. 3. Supervision. Rich does the most skilled work himself, and he overlooks each phase of the project. I want to meet the person working on my project before it starts. With Rich, I was able to do that. 4. Communications. There were no surprises on the contract,. It was written in simple jargon-free English. Rich called the night before work started to remind me that he would be arriving the next day at 8:30. We went over the design details when the work started. Any questions I had thereafter were clearly explained by Rich or his employees. Too often the person who executes the project isn't the person who gave me the bid and has no clear idea what was agreed on. Too often the person doing the bidding doesn't inform me that he or she won't be anywhere near the work site while the work is going on, and I'll be working with a complete unknown. That has been my biggest problem with contractors, and that didn't happen with All Concrete Surfaces. 5. Quality of work. The walkway looks gorgeous. I don't think I've seen better looking concrete work. My planting beds are very dense and close to the walkway, but to my amazement, there was no damage to a single plant, even though I had anticipated that there would be. The house was protected during the messier phases of the project, and was left spotlessly clean.

They dealt with the issues efficiently and without change orders. They did what they said and got us in early. The work looks great and was done quickly. Rich was a great guy to work with.

Rich and his crew did a terrific job. They removed my 45 year old asphalt driveway, as well as an underlying (and not working) drain and pipes, installed a channel drain and a brushed concrete driveway. The driveway is beautiful, and the quality is great.

He scheduled to begin the job on August 15 and figured it would take three days to prepare, pour and do cleanup on the site. His crew arrived as planned and began preparing the site for the concrete. The three and sometimes four person team directed the concrete company truck where to pour the concrete and quickly proceed with the finish work before the concrete started to set too much. His crew was careful to not splash concrete on my fence or house and washed down my driveway of residue from the concrete. The crew then subsequently removed all debris as promised. I was very impressed with the operation and it was obvious this crew works well together...

Rich was great. He was very responsive in both coming out to give an estimate and in performing the service. Rich was straight forward, fair dealing and insightful. He came across as an honest business man. I would definitely use Rich again and highly recommend.

Called and left a message to get an estimate, answering machine/message said my call was very important to them, etc. I waited one week and received no return call. I called again, it has now been at least a month and still no call.

We originally contacted All Concrete Surfaces for a bid to replace our existing concrete porch steps. Rich came out promptly and met with us to discuss the options. We ended up deciding to replace the concrete with wood steps, but Rich had mentioned that if we decided to go that route, he could complete the demo and removal of the concrete. We worked with him to complete this demo, and it went very well. He and his crew arrived as scheduled and removed the stairs and landing in an hour and a half. They hauled off the concrete as expected. Great work all around; we would definitely use All Concrete Surfaces in the future for any other projects we have.
