Terrible - this was a true nightmare and I would never use this company again. Folks with Piano's use a Piano mover. I wish I had used some of the companies listed on Angie's list and not this one. I have since had my piano tuned and checked out, there are a couple of keys that are slightly off (the tuner showed me) probably from bumping the end of the piano on the stairs all the way down (8 stairs). I have yet to have a finish person come in and estimate the cost to repair the nicks in the finish - there are about 5 of them. Movers beware! Do not use this company.
Description of Work: Salesman came into my home and estimated the move. We identified which items the mover would move (furniture to large and heavy for me to move), and which I would be moving myself. Salesman estimated a price of aprox. 1,100.00 for all of my furniture, the BBQ, some of the boxes in the garage and two large whelping boxes. Salesman also assured me his movers were professional and could move a large heavey upright piano with lacquer finish. Day of move they arrived late (called due to traffic), they were slow, one individual did nothing but walk around and the other of the three was arguing with the one not doing any work. I filled out a form for insurance 179.00 with a 300.00 deductable, and we assessed two nicks in the laquer on the piano and I signed the form. When it came time to move the piano they bounced the rear end on the steps coming out of my home. They used furniture straps not a piano dolly, they chipped a piece off the back bottom and scratched one of the front legs trying to hold it coming out. they nearly lost the whole thing and took chunks of wood out of the steps of the home I had just sold. I found later that I also had scratches on my living room coffee table which was purchased new at my old house and sat essentially unused for almost 20 years in my formal living room. My dresser which had a loose back now has a back essentially ripped off. My BBQ has an indentation on the front so it is no longer flush with the SS doors. The end of my queen bed was not assembled and the lighting was done wrong so I had to assemble and re-do it. I had a nasty phone call from a dispatcher informing me that the team could not unload furniture due to my carpet installers. When I called the new home the installers verified that the movers agreed to take a half hour lunch -so the carpet folks could finish and vacuum. When I called back 45 minutes later the truck crew were not back yet. I called and complained to the dispath person and was just as impolite and she was. Note the lead mover informed me when I told him I would be putting in a claim that the dispatcher sent him the wrong two people to move a piano they had absolutely no experience and were not the ones he would have had on the job.............. This crew was slow and unprofessional. When I complained about the piano the salesman Edward (Kip) Klopp came out to the house to inspect. 1/2 hour of time was knocked off my bill. I had to rent a second private rental truck to get the rest of my furniture and have friends help because the truck they had was not big enough, and apparently they didn't have the right or enough people for the move.......
