A company representative examined the needed job, then gave me a price the next day. I checked the price and job with an expert in the field and learned the cost was reasonable for the market and the materials to be used were what he would have required. We then scheduled the job for the following week. The plumber who did the work was courteous, professional and well versed in working with home owners. I recommend this company without hesitation.

Plumber started by replacing master water turn off. He forgot his flint striker and had to keep going back to our gas stove to light his welder. He had problems making a neat whole around the pipe because there was a sheet of plywood in the way... bottom line it was not a professional installation. Next he went to the bathroom and replaced the cartridge assembly with a different part that he thought "might work." It didn't and it leaked even worse. The next day he came back with the correct part.

Plumber came spent 15 minutes fixed problem. Billed for $120.

This is the third time I've called Marv's plumbing for work, this call the second largest effort the company has done for us, and we continue to be completely satisfied with the service and quality of workmanship. We'll certainly call again for future needs.

When I called, they said they could have someone out the next day. About 1/2 hour after I called, they called back to tell me they had a service van in the area and that he could be at my house in under an hour. When he showed up, he took a quick look under the house. Within about 45 minutes of arriving, he was done and the job was complete. He was very professional and polite. The bill arrived within a week and was very close to the estimate I was given. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the company, and they are my new go-to plumber.

They gave me tips on things not to put down the drain. They are very nice as well. Dave on the phone is very pleasant! They are neat, clean, tidy, and nothing was out of sorts when they left. Neither call was an emergency but they were very quickly.

This is post installation update (see during installation below). There were leak problems twice during the installation process which caused me to call for pretty fast response. The company was very prompt in responding and remedying the issues each time. While I wasn't happy that there were leaks at all, I am very pleased with the response. Dave (the company owner) was great to work with, and his staff courteous and thorough. ======= Original input: They have been great. Their quote was reasonable and they have been very responsive getting here. So far everything has been great; I had a problem with a window where his pipes had to come into it a little bit because there wasn?t enough room, but it wasn?t his fault. The job is not finished yet, but so far I would rate them highly.

I apologize in advance because I can't find our invoices for service dates and amounts right now, so they are approximations. I felt I should share my experience because we chose this company based solely on Angie's List ratings. Our first visit with Marv's Plumbing was great. They were timely, efficient, and helpful. We were surprised to get a bill for $90 for that visit as they were mainly diagnosing our problem (a leaky sink faucet) and performed one task that took about five minutes. We thought that would get rolled into our bill where they came out and did the actual work we called about. However, we paid and it wasn't that big of a deal. We were instructed to buy a new faucet and they would come back out. After purchasing our new faucet we set up another appointment. This company was responsive and the appointment was made for a date in the very near future. We were impressed and felt we had finally found our plumber! The day they were to come I had to call when they were a half hour late to see if we were on the schedule. There were no apologies or explanations for being late. They just said he was on his way. When he showed up, close to an hour late, the work was done and done well. We also had him unclog our bathroom sink. It took an hour to complete the work (I made sure to watch the time just in case). When our bill came we were charged for 2 hours of labor. I immediately called and left a message saying we were overcharged and asked them to call back. I never heard back from the company again. We ended up paying the bill for only one hour of work and have yet to ever hear back from the company. I rated the quality of the work high because it was; however I don't like that I need to watch closely to make sure I'm being charged the correct amount. I also don't think it is very professional to never call a customer back. So, unfortunately, we have not found our plumber. I'm just glad this was a small and relatively inexpensive job. I tried to average my ratings for the two visits rather than base it entirely on the last visit.

We called on a Friday hoping to schedule the work for Monday, and they were ready to come out immediately. We set a time on Monday, and they were very prompt. The work was done under our kitchen sink. The plumber was quick, efficient, and did quality work. All parts needed were available on their truck, so there was no delay. When he finished, he cleaned up nicely and left us with a well done job.

I just purchased a new home. The toilet clogged several times and required plunging and the bathtub drained very slowly. The Dishwasher leaked and I was concerned that maybe it was a plumbing problem and not the DW. Also I wanted the water heater inspected since they were coming out anyway. The service was timely and quick. He snaked the toilet and tub and explained how we could control/prevent the problem in the future. He gave good information as to how we could make improvements to the DW plumbing. The water heater is as old as the house and he sent us an estimate to replace it in the near future. I was very happy with the service and the estimate.

This was a real pleasure to get someone who knew what they were doing to take care of this work for me. My two prior plumbing experiences were a real learning experience on being charged a flat fee to do a specific job, without any consideration of the time involved. The charge I paid here was as fair as can be and the actual plumber was both personable and professional. I could not rate this business any higher! I will definitely use them again when I have any plumbing needs.
