Serviceman was on time, fixed the garage quickly, was polite and did great work.

The service was good, but the technician chipped a side of our house with their van. They will send somebody out to fix it. They were prompt about that. The person will come at the end of the month. I will update the review depending on when that's fixed.

Rainier Garage Door had been out to my home two times to repair our old wood garage door and the last time they were out, Jason told us that it needed to be replaced.  Well 3 years later, the garage opener was the first to go, then the door was off track & very difficult to open.  I didn't want to put anymore money into fixing it, so I called a few companies - one never called me back (they were also not on Angie's List so excluded them from my search).  The 2nd company (which is on your list) gave me a lower quote over the phone, but when she came out to look at our set up, she recommended that I go with a more expensive side mount garage door opener because of the difficulty to install a regular motor in the existing space.  Also, there was a separate charge to remove and haul way the old garage door/opener, and the final quote was about $400 more than I expected.
When I called Rainier, I told Jason that it was recommended that I go with the side mount opener.  He said he didn't take note of that when he was out last time so wanted to come out and see exactly what was needed.  He agreed that the existing space for the garage door opener was tight and could prove more difficult for the installer, but told me "that's not your problem, it's ours to figure out."  I loved that!  (Big smile).  Also, before he left he quickly replaced two rollers (free of charge) so I could lift the door easier...which he didn't have to do...and I was very appreciative!  He emailed me the quote later the same day as promised, and it was within my budget after Angie's List discount (another Big smile).  The door was replaced a week later, and I am very happy with the product and service provided by Rainier Garage Door!  Thank you Rainier & Angie's List!!

They came and tuned up the doors, but, in the process, they actually
warped or broke some of the track on the (admittedly old) doors.  After
that, instead of sticking like they had been, before (they DID fix
that), the doors frequently simply came out of the track and had to be
laboriously brought back onto the track in order to either open OR
close.  This was BEYOND inconvenient.

Got the big deal with $99 for garage door tune-up. I bought it since I had a few cases when I had to reset the power of the garage opener to get it working again.
The technician showed up and finished the job on time, evaluated my roller, and answered all my questions. Very professional and knowledgeable.
I haven't had to reset my garage opener power again yet.

So far Angie's list has been a big stress reliever with finding repair services, could not be happier with them.

My wife and I had returned from a business celebration to discover that our garage door (16' wide) would not open. The garage door opener worked, but the connection to the garage door had separated and something (which turned out to be a broken torsion spring) would not allow the door to raise even manually.  After consulting Angie's List reviews of providers, I called Rainier (the reviews for which actually sounded too good to be true) late in the day. The receptionist was extremely polite and professional and was able to schedule a repair for the afternoon of the next day. The technician (Yami) called ahead as promised, arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem and recommended a repair option was much simpler and was far less expensive than repair options that I had initially diagnosed as being necessary. Because we were having other remodeling work underway, the garage is filled with furniture and construction stuff as temporary storage so his work conditions were crowded and challenging.  Yami said that was no problem. He inspected the rest of the door assembly as well as the opener. He replaced both torsion springs, reconnected the garage door opener to the door, performed a system tune-up, but basically pronounced the system sound and in very good shape.  All work was completed in 70 minutes and the door now operates noticeably quieter and more smoothly than ever before! Even when the house was new (we are original owners)!
Yami was extremely personable and a great representative of his company. I have no hesitation in recommending Rainier--their service and people are every bit as good as their reviews indicate. I expect that we will use Rainier for any future repairs and are anticipating upgrading our current door as part of planned remodel.  Rainier will have our business.

I purchased a deal through Angie's list for a garage door opener tune-up.  They were very easy to deal with from beginning to end - answered the phone when I called, easily scheduled around my availability, arrived on time and explained exactly what they were going to do.  The tech gave me an honest opnion on the overall condition of my equipment and did not pressure me in the least to purchase additional services.  I did decide to have him do some additional work - replacing the cables which were starting to fray and the pulleys.  The work was completed quickly and done well.  I will most certainly use them again!

Dropped by the showroom and looked at various options.  Though it was just 10 minutes before closing, Jason spent a half hour with me going through the options, answering questions etc in a no hurry fashion.  Came out at the appointed time promptly to do the measurements and provide an estimate.  I scheduled the work for 10 AM and the craftsman was right on time.  He was pleasant, professional and did an excellent job removing the old double door and installing the new.  I stopped several times during the process and noted him cleaning up as he went on several occasions; so there was never a mess.  He completed the work in the time I had been told it would take.  The door looks wonderful, functions perfectly and the cost was was the estimate.  I had estimates from two others and they were essentally all in the same price range +/- 20 dollars.  So I think the cost was reasonable while the service and product were outstanding!.  Definitely would use them again. 

Rainier Garage Doors is simply tops! After enduring a horrendous garage door and opener installation from GDS in 2012, when our opener control panel started having issues, I was nervous about calling another service provider. I read the reviews on Angie's List and opted for Rainier. From the initial phone call to set up an appointment (they came out the same day!) right through the service call, everyone was friendly, concerned, and professional. Uma, our technician, arrived on schedule. He installed our new control panel, inspected the garage door, and did a full tune-up and lube. Uma was courteous and knowledgeable, kindly answering our questions about maintenance and care. He charged the same rate I was quoted over the phone, which was quite reasonable. It's clear that customer service and satisfaction is a priority for Rainier. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone and will definitely be calling them for all of my garage door and opener needs in the future. Thanks, Rainier!

They arrived on time, were neat and courteous.  They worked quickly and completely.  A very pleasant experience - and the garage door was given new life!  It has been a few years since the date of this service - but wanted to add that I called them when our garage door broke, and was stuck open recently.  They tried to arrange for a worker to come out immediately, , but were swamped.  However, they called an hour later and said they could do it as someone's schedule had changed.  At that time I had already procured another company - but Rainier Door went the extra mile for me, and I really appreciated that. 
They are a reliable company that you can trust to do great work. 

We called for an estimate; they happened to have an employee in our area (far out in the Snoqualmie Valley, where other contractors will not go) and came within hours of our call. They came prepared and began work immediately. The original worker had a personal health event that prevented him from completing the job.  The company went out of their way to bring out an off-duty worker from a long way away in order to honor the work they had begun. They managed to finish the work the same afternoon in spite of the circumstances. Professional people, good work, fair price.  I am very pleased. (And praying for the first young man...)

Rainier Garage door was professional and delivered high quality service.  I was not prepared to replace springs and wheels on the doors, only the lifts for 2 but was made aware of deterioration of these items in a manner that did not feel like I was being sold on something that I did not need.  The technician was professional, courteous and did a great job.  I would recommend this company to my family, friends and clients without hesitation.

They came out and did a good job. I don't think they did everything because it is still making noise, and I think Iwill have to get up there and oil things. I wanted the door to be quiet and it was great, once they oiled it and everything, but after about a month, it was back to the same noise. They were courteous and prompt and they were great.

First off, for a number of reasons that had nothing to do with Rainer Garage Door, I didn't use my coupon in time.  They were very kind when I called and still let me use it.  I am so very grateful for their kindness.
The technician called before he showed up to make sure I was home and he showed up on time.  Both are very important to me and something I don't thing gets appreciated enough.  He explained what he was going to do and then he did it.  He was very efficient and had the job done quickly.
I have a garage door that was installed in the 70s.  It is extremely heavy and it is solid wood.  It should probably be replaced at some point in the future.  The technician helped me understand the changes in garage door technology that would make it a little bit more expensive to replace this particular door.  He took measurements and notes so that someone in the office could provide me with a complete estimate.  When I got the official estimate from Rainier Garage Door a few days later, I was not surprised by the cost.  After checking a couple of other places, the price quoted seems to be very reasonable.  At this time, I'm going to wait before replacing the door because it currently works.
NOTE: I don't remember the exact date of the work, but I'm guessing it was around May.

Had to call them back the following day because the door still squeaked.  Tech did not show up at the agreed time.

Whole experience was great.  The whole family went to their show room office and the atmoshphere felt family-like.  No hard sell ... the owner assisted us and we felt no pressure in buying.  Got other quotes and Rainier Garage was in line with others.  Had no issues with the install.  The installer was very professional, cleaned up, and finished on time.  Will definitely use Rainier Garage again.  Thanks Angie, as well.
