 + -1 moreRoman showed up with his crew promptly at 9am on Sta. morning to start. They removed the existing doors and all the hardware as well as cut back the existing drywall and removed a 2x4 brace for the existing shelving unit, all this so that the new track could be installed. Installed 3 new doors and 2 new openers and made sure they all worked. Roman ran out of time before the old opener that they moved to the third bay was fully working. He was back as promised on Monday to finish as well as make some minor adjustments to the 2 new openers. Rainier Door is a quality company with a quality staff. From start to finish they did exactly what they said they would for the price we agreed upon. I would not hesitate to use them again.
Description of Work: We had three new garage doors installed complete with new track and 2 new openers. They moved one existing opener to the 3rd bay that did not have an opener.

 + -1 moreTheir business office called within 24 hours of when we requested the "Special Deal" they were advertising. The rep that showed up was punctual and very professional. He did a thorough exam of the springs/mechanism on our garage door; as previously stated, he replaced parts; did adjustments on the chain and lubricated the rails. When he was done, he made sure that we were completely satisfied and answered all questions before he left. We would certainly recommend Rainier Garage Doors again and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Job well done!
Description of Work: Our garage door had been making loud screeching and popping noises when opening or closing-after the rep from Rainier Garage examined the door, he concluded that there were no major problems and said it was just a matter of making adjustments; replacing some rollers on the tracks and lubricating the rails, all of which he did.

 + -1 moreThey were extremely nice when I called and was able to get themout withi 48 hours. The service rep was on time, professional and did a great job.
Description of Work: The spring on our garage door broke. They fixed it with a better spring system which our builder should have done in the first place. Word of advice though, when you have a broken spring being fixed you will find they normally want you to do the gears on it as well. Wish I would have been told that ahead of time as that added $85 to the cost I wasn't planning on. The gears were not broken, but am told they have the same life span normally as the spring, so they recommend you change those at the same time.

 + -1 moreIn addition to the tune up and replacing the sensors, the technician identified a problem that the gears were grinding (ball bearings). The problem was not serious enough at the time to require repairs. I had a very positive experience. I had purchased an Angie's List coupon. The total cost included cost of the coupon plus replacement parts. There was no extra charge for labor required to replace the sensors. The purchased coupons are a great idea. I got an opportunity to try out a company with little commitment. The technician did only work that was necessary at the time. I plan to have them back when the garage gears give out.
Description of Work: Service provider tuned up the garage opener and replaced motion sensers.

Description of Work: The repair person came to do maintenance on our garage door. Unfortunately, the door and mechanism is very old, so there was very little he could do to improve anything, but he did make an adjustment, cleaned the rollers and change the light bulb for me. I had higher expectations, but had not realized the type and age of this apparatus precluded vast improvements. But the serviceman was professional and I would call him/them again if I had a better mechanism which would respond to servicing.

 + -1 moreI called Rainier to ask if they could apply the face value of an expired Angie's List coupon toward the service for which I'd originally bought it. The receptionist warmly replied that they would honor the coupon for the full offer--something no other company I've bought coupons for has done! She then asked if I would like them to come the next day. The fellow who came out was the kind of person any business would be proud to have represent them. In fact, by the time he left, my next-door neighbor and another across the street had both asked Rainier to talk with them about their garage doors! My 12-year-old garage door springs were showing their age, and while the service guy stressed that they did not need immediate replacement, I asked if he would do that work now (rather than waiting for the springs to fail). I couldn't be happier with Rainier--unless, of course, they offered to clean and organize my garage as well... My dogs, however, are not so happy. Rainier's "silencer package" has already proved itself quiet enough for me to come home and catch them napping!

 + -1 moreThey came out and initially charged me a trip charge to come and replace my remotes. When then learned that I needed a maintenance check and some other work that required an additional visit, they knocked off the trip charge. There were some issues with getting the remotes programmed at first, but they were able to get it taken care of. When I questioned some of the charges, they were willing to work with me. The manager called me personally and we were able to negoiate the prices. I could tell that they really care about their customers and I was able to save about $149. I will absolutely use them in the future!
Description of Work: They replaced the high cycle extension springs in the garage door along with some routine maintenance and gave me 2 new remotes.

 + -1 moreThe torsion spring on our garage door broke on a Friday afternoon. I searched Angie's List to find a company close by that coupld fix it right away. The first company I called said they were closing for the weekend, but offered to give me recommendations of local companies that might be able to help me that day or over the weekend. They also said that their 10% off Angie's List coupon was only good for maintenance services, not for repair calls. The first company on their list they gave me was also an A-rated Angie's List company, Rainier Garage Door. When I called Rainier Garage Door, they said they'd honor the 10% AL coupon regardless of what the service was for, and that they could get someone out before noon the next day. As promised, the serviceman came out at 10:45 AM the next day and was finished before 11:30 AM. Price was as quoted, and the work was done quickly and professionally. The only reason I gave them a B for quality was that I wished they'd have checked out the rest of the door and give me an estimate of what it would cost, and the time it would take to give it a tune-up (replace rollers, oil hinges, etc.). However, I didn't ask for that, and I did get what I requested. I would definitely use them again.

 + -1 moreNow before you think that a $429 is too much for a garage door opener consider the fact that Costco sells a 3/4 HP garage door opener for $300. If I'd bought the one from Costco, I would had to hire someone to install the gargage opener for me. I'd rather hire a business that specializes in garage door & openers vs. hopefully finding a handyman who may installed a few. I really appreciate Becky's help in the showroom. She listened to my concerns about security & she helped me figure the out the very good solution for my house & my car. Roman was the installer & he was completely finished within the stated timeframe. Then, he took the time to explain all the bells & whistles with the new wall control panel & various remotes so that I didn't have to read the manuals. The garage door opener was up & running with no effort on my part... Thanks Ranier Garage for making the process so easy breezy.

Description of Work: I had previously used Rainier Garage Door and thus when my garage door opener stopped working a few days ago i called on Rainier Garage Door again and scheduled their earliest appointment for Saturday, May 26th at 8:30a. Due to a disability i needed my garage door to work because when i manually lift it i experience considerable pain. Today, I fully expected to pay for the installation of a new opener, but when their tech saw that the lights on the opener still worked he suspected that the mother board was damaged and could be replaced for far less money. However upon opening the housing their tech saw loss wires and simply placed and secured the wires back into their proper locations and my garage door opener was repaired saving me a few hundred dollars. Rainier Garage Door's tech could have easily not looked into the housing and/or attempted to troubleshoot, but he had honor and integrity and thus he saved me the replacement of my garage door opener today and has allowed me a few weeks, months, or even a year or two to save up for the inevitable replacement cost and installation. I love doing business with a company that arrives on time to an appointment and exhibits honor and integrity, THANK YOU Rainier Garage Door !!!

One of the springs on our garage door broke over the weekend and we called to schedule an appointment first thing Monday morning. Rainier was able to come out that same day with a scheduled arrival between 12-2. The appointment went very smoothly - from length of the appointment to education on how to keep our garage door running smoothly. We will definitely call Rainier back should we have any more issues.
