Rainier Garage Door

I went back to them because when I initially bought the house, I bought and opener from them and I really liked the person that came out. They felt really good and so I just went directly to them. They had the look I wanted at a good price. After getting the garage door 6 years ago that I got the doors and I remembered the guy that came to put the opener in and he felt trustworthy. So I went back. I think it is a family owned type thing. I visited their showroom and talked to the owner and his wife. I talked to them about what I wanted, what I could get, what I should get. It just felt good. I love my doors.

Danny was running a little late but phoned to let me know when he would be arriving. He was very polite and we talked about the different options on how to fix the garage door. Once a decision was made he went to work and completed the job.

They came and did the work as stated within the deal. We knew we were going to have some extra costs involved as they also replaced a few springs. They were easy to work with.

Overall, an excellent experience!

Danny was my technician. He was professional, personable and let me know right away that my satisfaction was guaranteed. And he lived up to his promise. In a little less than an hour he had finished the agreed upon work, cleaned up after himself and left my garage door opener and track system in better shape than when it was brand new. I highly recommend Rainier Garage Door and would use them again in a heartbeat.

The technician, Danny, was not only timely (he called shortly to let me know when to expect him), but pleasant and informative. He solved our issue in an organized and tidy manner. Called Rainier Garage Door on Tuesday to come look at my garage door that was making a lot of noise and not closing right. They scheduled Danny to come out the next day. Danny called prior to coming to let me know he was on his way. After inspecting the door he determined that we needed new springs, pulleys and rollers. The work was completed quickly and thoroughly. The door is now quiet and works perfectly.

This company was great. I couldn't be happier. I tend to put off home repairs because I am usually disappointed with services that I find on my own and I'm left feeling ripped off and angry. I feel that I definitely got my money's worth with Rainier Garage Door Company. As a matter of fact, this company got me kind of excited that there are honest professional home repair service providers out there. I'm even having my roof cleaned right now with another Angie's List Provider and this one is going very well also. This is great. Is there an Angie's List for dating?

Prompt, courteous service. Answered all my questions. Did what I expected. Satisfied with the work and would refer them to my friends without hesitation.

They called me the day of the appointment 2 hours before the scheduled appointment telling me that their rep was held up and wouldn't be able to show up at our house at the given. They did reschedule to a Saturday morning at 8:30, which was the only available one the soonest after a Monday appointment. He replaced the rollers with a lower quality one than the ones that were on at the time.

It was a short visit to replace rollers and lube (tune-up) garage door opener.

Excellent workmanship by Danny. Very good and honest. He could have tried to upsell once he got his "foot in the door", lol, however he was honest, and this is why I will recommend him to everybody I know.

This was a perfect transaction. I researched and selected Rainier from AL. I called and spoke to the scheduler. She was courteous and helpful. The appointment was set for the next morning. The repairman Danny was running a little late but called with plenty of notice to allow me to adjust accordingly. I had a couple of options of ways to manage the cost from repair to replacement. Danny discussed the pros and cons of each and left the decision entirely up to me. There was zero pressure. Their prices were really good. I toyed with doing the installation myself but could not have even purchased the unit for what it cost me installed. I also have the peace-of-mind that it was done correctly, they will stand behind their work, and a knowledgeable person has inspected my doors and hardware and all are in safe working order.

Efficiently explained problem. Gave reasonable advice on maintenance without upselling. Very comfortable and competent.

Goon communication before the service, prompt arrival, great work done. Recommended.

Overall, the experience was good. They were responsive and creative with solving the problem!

I ordered a special on Angie's list for a $99 Garage Door Tune-up PLUS Roller Replacement! I ordered two of them, one for my house and one for my rental house. I got a call from Greg the next morning to set up an appointment. The next day Danny came out to my house to tune up my garage door. Then he followed me to my rental house which was only about a mile away and serviced that garage door also. Danny was very professional and seemed very open and honest about how to take care of the doors in the future. Both of the doors work much smoother and quieter now.

We came home after a long day Saturday evening. Our garage door would only open slightly. Left message for them to call me as soon as possible. They opened at 10:00 AM Sunday and called me at 10:01 AM. I described the problem to the woman who called and she immediately knew what the problem was. They made an appointment for between 12:00 and 2:00. Shelby called at Noon and arrived at 12:30. He fixed the problem, was friendly and very professional. I highly recommend Shelby and Rainier Garage Door. Great price and service!

They were responsive and punctual. They gave us an Angie's List discount on the opener. Our garage door works great. We were happy with their service.

I asked Danny if we needed to replace doors or motors. He told me that our motors and doors were still good, but we replaced springs, rollers, and other parts that were old and creaky. He could have tried to do the big up-sell, but instead gave us good guidance about what to keep, and what needed to be replaced. I was impressed by his punctuality, honesty, courtesy, and knowledge. Best of all, our garage doors now glide smoothly and quietly!

The technician arrived early, they phoned to see if that would be ok. Service was done promptly, yet they were also very good at explaining how the door works, and what troubleshooting they were doing. Being handy, I wanted to watch and learn, and they were very open to answering questions and explaining how things worked.

I went to their showroom and picked out the door that I wanted. They came the next day to bring color swatches, measure and give me a firm price. Since I ordered a color and was going to be gone, we made a date for the installation at my convenience. The installer was on time and polite and I have never had a problem wtih it since. It was an excellent experience with no hassles. They advised me on door options and I am happy with the choices and installation. They were very courteous and attentive. I asked for a sample of the color, so I can select my next house paint to exactly match and that was sent me right away.

Overall, it was a good experience. After adjusting the opener to get the door to move properly, I was informed that this was an old discontinued model (true), and they did not carry parts for this unit. The tech stated that the adjustment would probably hold for a few months, but the settings were maxxed out, (again true) and that it would be best to replace the unit. While doing the research on Angies List for a service provider, I did see that the comments on this provider leaned more towards replacement than repair, so I was somewhat skeptical. In the end, I realized I eventually would need a new unit so let's do it now. We went back and forth on the difference in the units, (belt drive vs others). I decided to go with the pricier German model, Marantec. I was sold on the 15 year warranty and the better quality of a belt drive unit. We negotiated futher on the options, as I wanted a keyess remote in addition to the car remote. The Marantec uses a proprietary keyless remote vs. the generic Clicker brands sold in Home Depot that we currently use. We came to a positive agreement on the price and the remotes. He said it would take him an hour to complete and he was right on the money. Cleaned up afterwards and was very careful of the car we had in the garage during installation. He showed me how to program the keyless remote and went thru the owners manual. It was during this process that I noticed the paperwork in the manual showed 10 year warranty vs. 15 as advertized. Slight difference and the tech said he would check with the office on the difference. Minor glitch, but the 15-year warranty was part of my decision to go with the pricier unit. I am still not clear on the warranty period. The unit and remotes perform excellently and the Marantec is so much quieter than the previous model. I would recommend this unit and this service provider. They were able to come out the same day I called and it was a good experience for us.

Took about an hour to get the door back in working condition. Still works great
