Once again Pavel did a fabulous job for us. He made my old ugly 80's bathroom into a peaceful gorgeous spa bathroom. We were able to make our shower larger, I have an amazing slipper tub and the tile work is so beautiful. So happy!

Pavel and his crew did an amazing job. Being this was my first home remodel I was really nervous how it would go. Pavel was very responsive and answered all questions I had. They went above the call of duty several times. Being an old house, I discovered a leaky drain pipe unrelated to the remodel and set about patching it. Pavel and his crew noticed I had opened the wall and saw the leaky pipe and repaired it without asking or added cost. My new kitchen is amazing as are the two remodeled bathrooms and the new downstairs bathroom. I will definitely use them again.

PM Construction One has done two different projects for us. First one was to remodel the lower level of a daylight basement-style home. Work included drywall repair, installing additional electrical outlets, bathroom tile & heated floor/vanity/lighting/fixtures, replace all windows, and repaint. Also included in this project was re-configuring framing/drywall to create a walk-in pantry by reclaiming unused space in an adjacent laundry, and replacing vanity/fixtures & paint of a second bathroom. We were so pleased with the results of the first project that we used PM Construction One for the second project. Second project was a complete renovation of a different home, including complete rebuild of master bath, new lighting in all bedrooms, window replacements, drywall repairs throughout, new vanity/fixtures in a second bathroom, replacement of staircase railings with contemporary ironwork rails, complete kitchen remodel with wall removal to open up the floorplan, raising a sunken living room floor, hardwood and tile installations, new lighting on the main floor replacement of all floor, doorframe, and window mouldings, etc. I just can't say enough good things about Pavel & Ruben, the two principals of PM Construction One. They were super-easy to work with, very flexible & accommodating to our needs, always responsive/communicative, and very knowledgeable about all aspects of remodeling from structural, framing, plumbing, electrical, etc. They came up with great solutions to the unavoidable surprises that inevitably come up as part of projects of this scope, and had great suggestions in regards to project design. They have a great group of specialist sub-contractors, all of whom did fantastic, high quality work(a special shoutout to Tibi, who did much of the tile work, and to Nate for the beautiful iron work). Compared to bids from other contractors, PM Construction One's pricing was very competitive, and given the quality of work they did for us, I believe we got great value for the price we paid. Work was completed in the timeframe committed, and they've been willing to return several times(as long as 6 months after completion) to address small touchup items that we missed during original walkthrough. We have been asked by at least a half-dozen friends who were equally impressed by the work done on our homes for PM Construction One's contact info for their own projects. I already have another project I'm planning to use them for, and give them my highest recommendation.

Pavel and his team did everything they promised for the price he quoted. Quality of work was good, and he was very responsive to things we added to project scope as the project progressed. He offered good, practical suggestions for various problems we were trying to solve. He always responded to my emails & calls within a few hours, and was just really easy and friendly to work with. His partner Reuben was equally pleasant and professional. Pavel's honesty and integrity is among the best of any firm I've worked with, and he will certainly be first on the list of folks I call for future projects.

Pavel and team did an outstanding job. A contractor friend commented on the quality of the workmanship. The whole process went so much smoother than expected. Pavel communicates extremely well, setting expectations, asking the right questions and is accountable. I also appreciated his input and experience to help me make sound decisions. I was extremely impressed with the whole engagement. I contacted Pavel for an estimate and he responded quickly. He was onsite and provided a very competitive estimate within the week. Pavel did an outstanding job of communicating and was very responsive and accountable. I felt very comfortable with Pavel and he built trust quickly. I am beyond pleased with the work he did. I had a broken pipe under the house that had been spraying for a while causing rot and damage. Pavel replaced the rotted joists, subfloor and damaged insulation. This damage led to the bathroom remodel which turned out beautifully. Pavel also replaced 600sq ft of Oak flooring with a Brazilian cherry. Pavel has a network of outstanding craftsmen who are meticulous. The whole job went without a hitch and stayed on schedule. When we did have any small delays, Pavel notified me immediately and set expectations. The work area was always kept clean during and after completion of the work. The whole engagement far exceeded my expectations.

Bids were obtained based on review of various contractors on Angie's List. Three contractors were selected that recently performed similar work. Two bids were evaluated of equal cost and Construction One was selected due to a thorough work scope description and timely response to changes and adders to scope leading up to contract award. Foremost, however, was the comfort both my wife and I felt in working with the owner Pavel. The overall project went extremely well and we were very satisfied with the quality of the work. The workman were very courteous and respectful of our time and suggestions. This was a very good experience and would certainly work with Construction One on any additional remodeling in the future. Highly recommended! Note: The cost indicated above is only that amount contracted with Construction One. Owner purchased a number of items and provided to the contractor. These items included carpet, ceramic tile, lighting fixtures (other than kitchen canned lights), and new toilet. Also, under separate contract the existing kitchen cabinets were refaced and refinished using a contractor recommended by Construction One.

The finished product is excellent. A family member who is a retired general contractor has commented on the high quality work performed by the company. The biggest challenges we had was with the City of Issaquah and their ridiculous Planning Department and permitting process. Prior to hiring Construction One, I spent over 2 years battling the City over a setback issue. Even when the permit was about to be issued, the City was pestering for more information and drawings, yet Pavel was patient and helpful working with the extremely ANNOYING City. The deck will add significant value to my property and am looking forward to many years of enjoyment! Thank you Construction One!

We interacted most with Construction One's owner Pavel Mihaiuc and his son-in-law Ruben Lutac. Both Pavel and Ruben are wonderful, genuine folks. We were anxious to get our projects started this summer in order to complete all of the projects within the three month window for which we'd gotten approval for the work from our homeowner's association. To help out, Pavel delayed his planned late summer vacation to start our projects a little earlier than he'd originally thought possible when we first met and discussed our projects. Overall, we are very pleased with the craftsmanship of the work that Pavel, Ruben, and other crew members did. One of the impressions we formed though, is that Pavel and his company are in high demand throughout the area, and -- because he's bidding jobs, scheduling work, monitoring the work, and performing some of the work himself -- he tries to cover a lot of bases and may get spread thinly at times. This isn't reflected in the quality of the work (which is great) -- but it, in our experience, some of the communication about what the customer can expect in terms of start times, choices about materials, consequences about choices of materials suffered a little. Bottom line -- we recommend Construction One without reservation, and hope to work with them again in the future. And I'd recommend that folks working with the company take time at the front end of their relationship to get clear about work schedule if that's an issue for you, and talk about project specifics (e.g., preparations that need to taken by customers, choices of materials, consequences of different material options). Pavel and the crew came at about the time they estimated. The crew tore down the old deck down to the support beams, and removed the old material. The original support beams and concrete footings were in good shape and re-used. The crew picked up the boards and hardware from the building supply store and delivered it to our driveway, which we had enough space for and this did not interfere with our parking. The construction crew came a couple of days later and began working. They measured well and did not waste much material at all. While the deck was going up, Pavel went to the building supply store to look at the railings we had chosen. His opinion was that another make of railing was slightly cheaper while being structurally better. He asked that we come to the store to see for ourselves and decide on which railing to use. Pavel pointed out some design differences in the way the railings were constructed that would allow for better integrity, less chance for water intrusion, and overall better appearance. When we checked the railings, we agreed with Pavel. We appreciate that Pavel was conscientious and detail minded to our benefit. The crew that constructed our deck and railing provided meticulous cuts, joints and corners. The deck has been complimented by our friends and we are glad that we chose ConstructionOne and Pavel. After the project was completed, they removed all the scrap material from the site. BTW I liked how the crews were working and sometimes provided them with tea and snacks for their breaks. I enjoyed being able to discuss things with them and get to know them a bit.

Our deck project is unusual because it is constructed on top of a flat roofed garage with a waterproof roof. Pavel designed a system of panels that can be moved to clean roof drains when needed or to do any maintenance that may be required to the roof in the future. He reviewed the design with us to be sure it was to our liking before proceeding. The finished deck is beautiful and the divisions between deck panels are virtually invisible. Their craftsmanship was beautiful and they were very careful to accept only the best materials from their suppliers. Pavel and his entire team were extremely professional and took great pride in their work. All of the workers were a pleasure to work with and have at our home and we enjoyed getting to know them. They were all were dedicated to doing our job right. We are so pleased with our new deck and railing and look forward to many low maintenance years of use. I was so pleased with their work that I have asked them to repair the supports for the railing on another deck at our home.

I called or emailed several decking companies for quote. But Pavel of Construction One was the first and the only contractor who responded within 24 hours. He not only showed up at the appointed time to give us the bid, he also drove us around to see his other projects in the neighborhood. We like the finished work he did and his price was right on within our budget.so we gave him an OK to do the work. Summer is usually a very busy time for them, and I need to have a finished deck by the Labor Day Week End so I can start our regular Bible Study Group Gathering for the Fall. He said since most of his jobs are all within blocks of our house, he, somehow, will try to squeeze my job in. He and his crew certainly did! Some of the neighbors came by and saw the finished job all thought that it was well done and commented how quickly the job was done. His crew: George and Jeremiah are fantastic! They are knowledgeable and responsive. Very hard working crew members! Pavel or his crew still needs to come back to finish the painting of the facial when it is not raining next week. I trust they will finish the job well, too. I highly recommend Pavel and his crew of Construction One! BTW, the other decking companies finally called me back one by one after Construction One has well started the job and on his way of finishing it.

Pavel was completely professional. He and his team were both proficient and efficient. They were highly focused on getting the job done right. All the work turned out beautifully! They worked around our schedule, making it convenient for us. Even when there were instances of plan for which I had no good ideas, Pavel was able to make suggestions and choices that worked out wonderfully. We highly recommend him; and we will definitely use him for future projects.

Pavel was one of several contractors we solicited to give an estimate for a back-yard deck replacement. Pavel was very responsive and also very competitive. He discussed the job in depth and the pros and cons of various approaches, and I had confidence that he would have approached the job with professionalism and diligence. We ended up going with a different contractor based primarily on price. Pavel was our backup choice, however.

The most important thing to me about a contractor is trustworthiness, and Pavel is of the highest integrity. For example, he volunteered without prompting to knock the price down on his bid if we chose cheaper tile. When we ultimately more expensive hardwood instead, he did not complain about any differences in the installation and didn't even charge us the extra for the wood. Pavel and his guys were extremely accommodating about our baby sleeping, which is a lot to ask of a construction crew. My wife was home with the baby a lot during construction and she always felt comfortable with the crew there. Everyone was mindful of the inconvenience of upstairs work (windows) and tried to be as efficient and clean as possible. The crew worked efficiently especially considering some complications with the windows, which Pavel did not charge extra for. Pavel was responsive, helpful, and made good suggestions on some of the details like the type of flooring. Prices were very reasonable, if that were not clear already, and the work looks excellent. We're very happy we found Pavel and will use him again.

The whole experience was excellent. The contractors were incredibly professional, prompt and hardworking. It was the best experience we have had with a contractor and we have done a large range of remodels. The owner, Pavel, is very responsive, extremely customer focused and has great pride in ensuring the best quality of workmanship. We could not recommend this company highly enough.

I could not be happier. In fact, I am so happy that while there are still some tasks outstanding, I want to get my review done now. For years I have struggled with the maintenance and upkeep of a large cedar deck. No matter what products I've used and how well I prep, nothing lasts more than a year or two in the dreadful Northwest climate so I decided it was time to upgrade the structure to modern materials requiring less maintenance. In addition, the old deck was dangerous as it had only a perimeter bench, no railing system and sits about 12 ft. off the ground. As I have done business with Construction One previously on several projects (two small deck projects, one with a new roof structure and replacing windows in the entire house) and was more than happy with these prior experiences, choosing a contractor to do my large deck project was a simple matter of picking up the phone and calling Pavel, owner of Construction One. The existing deck was quite old, about 850 sq ft. and while much of the super structure was cedar, considerable rot existed, was removed in its entirety, replaced with pressure treated material. I was pleased to see that all the hardware used was galvanized and appropriate for pressure treated lumber (very important). Pavel recommended Azek decking with a TimberTech railing system and we met at his supplier to look at displays of the materials and to choose colors I took the time to research the products and while I did find some negative comments they seemed either trivial or asinine so I chose to ignore them (for example, hair spray and Azek decking are not compatible). The things I appreciate about doing business with Construction One are numerous, I am a fairly picky guy, possibly a pain in the neck when it comes to wanting things done my way. What I appreciate about Construction One and the crew is that they are happy to accommodate my wishes and when I am wrong about something to take the time to explain why. The crew that works for Construction One, in this case, on this project, George, Jeremiah and Ruben, are friendly, do excellent work, are happy to answer questions, don't mind me looking over their shoulder. I feel so comfortable with the Construction One staff that I have no problem leaving my home open to them while I am away running errands. It feels like good friends are working on my house and indeed, good friends is how I have come to feel about the Construction One crews. As for the cost involved, Pavel is always more than willing to share the details of the costs of materials and labor involved which is more than most any contractor would do. When you work with Pavel, you know exactly how your hard earned money is being spent and you know you are not being ripped off. I like knowing I am getting quality materials and quality workmanship at a commensurate price. My new deck is fantastic. If you are considering a deck project, look nowhere else, Construction One is the company you want to do your deck.

Installed 4 can lights, very clean and professional. Had the right tools which meant there was no drywall work required. Was done in just few hours.

The Remodeling went very, very well. It started as a kitchen remodel, remake of an existing fireplace , opening up a section of wall to combine two rooms and replacing the existing carpet and floor to hard oak flooring. This house was built in the 60's and as you can guess not to many walls were square. The Kitchen alone was a major project. -remove drop ceiling and rebuild the ceiling. Replace all the cabinets and Appliances. We were looking for a Contractor that had enough experience to be able to work around any problem that may come up with an older home and not charge us an arm and a leg if we ran into unforeseen problems. The remake of the fireplace to a cleaner more usable fireplace insert was another area that required a bit of engineering. Removing of the existing fascia, rebuilding the opening to code to house the insert. "Designing and Building" a Mantle surround around the insert. "Beautiful"!!!! As the remodel went along we upgraded things we hadn't planned on. Such as replacing all the interior doors and all of the door trim and base molding. Pavel would give us a bid for things that we were changing and work it into the schedule. Yeah, sometimes I think I really screwed his scheduling up, But he always worked things in. Prices were always reasonable. Always quoted ahead of time. One of the things I really like about Pavel is, as busy as he is, he always touched base with us to let us know where we were in the construction phase. Since he is a hands on type of Contractor, he was really involved with the remodel. If anything required his attention to detail he was there...working!!... Although Construction One has a set crew, Pavel also has specific sub contractors that he uses. Take the hardwood floor. That was with one of his Sub contractors that specialized in flooring. Even though he briefs his contractors on what they need to do Pavel is right there checking on the progress making sure everything is square and straight. Through out the construction everything was kept clean and picked up. At the end of every day they would clean up and put everything away. Stack all the old material in one area and sweep up . After all the major work was done and we came down to the final finish work, electrical wiring, lighting, appliances, final trim, fixtures. that was all done by Pavel and Reuben. Reuben is part of the Construction One crew and really spent a lot of time making sure everything was right, straight, square, perfect.!!! Pavel and Construction One. The Quality of the work is Excellent! The Pride in Workmanship shows in Pavel and his crew. It was a great project for us. His construction experience along with engineering know how and perception of how one thing will affect something down the line made the job go really smooth. Construction One made it fun. We looked forward everyday to having them show up. It's a Fair, Honest, Hard Working man. Always polite and cordial. Very concerned with cost. If there is a less expensive way to purchase things he would say "try this place" tell them to give you my discount. ( and they did). One other important thing for me. Pavel never said no to what I wanted. Nothing negative. It was never "it has to be this way." It was always how do you want that? Ok we can do it like this. Yes, I will use them again to build my Deck. Yes, I highly recommend Construction One

Pavel and team's work is of the highest quality. They took the time to make changes as needed mid stream with no arguments. Team turned up at 8AM every morning and worked late into the evening. I would have no hesitation in referring Pavel and team.

The ratings are based on my experience during the "getting estimates" phase. We contacted upward of 15 contractors (they are all very busy now.) And it was very hard to find someone good, who also doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Bid was very high based on our opinion. We decided to complete the work ourselves at 25% of the bid.

I contacted Pavel through Angie's list to get an estimate for some deck work. He said he was busy the next 2 weeks but could come out On May 20 at 9 am. He didn't show up, call or email so I wasted a morning waiting for him. He did respond after a couple of days and apologized for not showing up. He came out looked at my deck and showed me some of his finished projects on his phone and I was very impressed. He has since submitted a detailed bid based on what we discussed and it appears to be competitive. I would definitely consider hiring him after all bids have been considered.

He provided an estimate timely, but I decided I needed to hook up to city sewer before proceeding with my backyard improvements. I would recommend and consider using in the future for sure.

I highly recommend Pavel Mihaiuc from Construction One to work on your deck or other construction projects. We had Pavel build us an upper deck this February and he did such a good job we asked him to complete our lower deck as well. His bid was fair and his work ethic and communication were very good. During the construction, my wife and I wanted some slight modifications, he was easy going about our requests and modified the plan. Pavel was the person who gave us the bid and also was the main worker on site. He has a partner to help him and some days he had a larger crew when he had need for more hands. Pavel was also very well versed in the building codes. He gave us several options, like one larger beam or two smaller beams. Our deck was built out of composite material and we had high end railings. He had experience with this type of material and his craftsmanship shows.
