Mr. Handyman of SE Bellevue

It took a while and he had to call in additional help but they got most of it done. They left a few counters that I was able to do later. You pay a premium for these guys but they are easy to work with and responsive.

I requested tile installation in place of a stone hearth. Originally they quoted me 1 days worth of service and based on their rates I assumed it would be $1000 and budgeted for that. They could not finish the job in a day and had to come back and it cost me more than double the original estimate. When I called the owner to express my disappointment, he was very defensive and rude to me. I told him I didn’t want to pick up an argument with him but was hoping for better service. Initially he had disputed that they gave me an estimate of a day but later on acknowledged in an email that he had indeed given me that estimate. He did end up giving me a 10% discount and a 2 hour discount on the first day. Overall the quality of the work was good but I was not happy with the estimating and the professionalism or lack there of on the part of the owner.

The quality of the service was good, but the time estimate was way off. The handyman estimated between 3-4 hours to complete the service and it took him 6-full hours to do so. Further, I was told that I did not need to send any prep documentation for the job, and that all materials would be present, but the handyman took an additional 30 minutes to go to HomeDepot and buy an adhesive glue for the predefined job of gluing the soap dish. I feel ripped off.

Installer was prompt and professional. 3 tall narrow mirrors were hung parallel to each other. Installer did an excellent job of measuring and making sure mirrors were all level before any screws went into the wall.

Very well, all projects were completed to our delight, not just satisfaction.

It looks great. They called me regularly to arrange the visit. They also followed up to make sure I was satisfied with the results. When I mentioned something that I was hoping to have, they went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied with the work. Maybe on the expensive side, but they've earned my repeat business.

The person came 3 hours late. Measurement was wrong, used wrong color of paint. Then over charged me. Made a mess.

From start to finish, this was a great company to work with. They responded to my call immediately and we were able to schedule the work a few weeks ago. The estimator, Mike, was excellent, showing a lifetime's experience in sizing up the job. The worker, Jaimison, was excellent: professional, personable and helpful. They invited me to save lots of money by picking up supplies as needed, rather than having them do it. The result is beautifully done and I'm sure will last a long time.

It went well found the problem will reschedule to fix at a later date.

This is a mixed review. I've used them twice before and had a great experience. This 3rd time didn't go well initially. I asked for help with my dance corner and soft close cabinets. I asked if this was possible and was assured over the phone that they can do the floor. I offered to have them come earlier so they knew what the work involved but they declined. The first handyman couldn't do either the cabinets or the floor and wasted my time. I called several times and was told someone would get back to me and no one called. When I said I would place a bad review, the manager Bob Schmidt contacted me. He came to the house and we brainstormed a way for the dance floor. His team built one for me and installed it. They also fixed my cabinets. I recommend being very very precise with your projects so they can accurately say if it is in the scope of their work. I will use them again because they were responsive to my complaint and went over and above to fix it.

The professional they sent out (Darin Johns) was great. I was more than happy with his professionalism, work ethic and ability to get the job done in a very timely manner. I haven't primed or painted yet, but the matchup to the existing texture looks great. I would hire this company again for any repairs in my house.

The job was done fine. My main complaint is it took two appointments for a job that should have taken one. The time amount was the same, so probably same cost. Just two weeks to get a hall bath painted because the painter didn't believe me when I said it would take two coats of paint.

It went smooth and quick. I appreciated kriss going to Home Depot for heavier anchor screws before starting the project. He showed me how to remove the shelfs off the track if needed.

It went well. He got the drywall done. In the meantime I had a flooding problem with the rain. He called to tell me about the water and brought in a dryer. After two plumbers told me there was nothing wrong, he also bought and installed a new sump pump. Jack of all trades.

He was there when he said he would be. They did it over two days, it took him about four hours. He was fine.

The gentleman arrived and set straight to work. He did have to read all the instructions, just as we would have had to do, but he kept at it until it was installed. It works nicely, and he apologized it had taken so long; it was not a project he would do normally.

Done in a timely manner, there was some paint on the floor and a couple of places could have been painted with a bit more attention to detail. The bathroom was in terrible shape so I was pleased with the outcome.

Mr. Handyman picked up my call immediately and got the work scheduled for 2 days later. Since they knew that the dry wall would need a follow up appointment to sand it and give it another coat, they scheduled that meeting as well. Lesley showed up on time, went over the work with me, and got started right away. We decided to leave the outside end of the vent as-is and to plug it with a metal sheet, fill the gap with spray foam insulation, and then patch the drywall. After the work was completed, you can't tell there was ever a large hole in the wall, and we no longer have to worry about any critters trying to get into the house that way or air leaking in/out. The other holes we needed patched turned out great as well. Lesley asked if we needed the patches painted over, but we passed since we're planning on completely repainting our bathrooms in the coming months. The first appointment took around 3 hours and the follow up was probably not even 15 minutes. Overall, I was impressed with how fast Mr. Handyman was able to get the work scheduled and with the work itself. I will definitely consider Mr. handyman the next time I need a job done around the house.

Good experience both with setting the appointment and with the gentleman who came out. It ended up taking a bit longer and costing more than originally predicted, but that is not their fault, and it was great that he had the flexibility to stay to complete the job.

Nothing really stood out. We would not use them again.

Do it 'til you get it right about sums it up. it was a bit of trial & error with me inspecting the results to prompt a better result. Spent 4 hours to complete a 2 hour job, but only charged for the 2 hour minimum. The outlets & switch are secured on the wall studs solidly & trimmed out well with new sheet rock. Fortunately, I had the time & patience to make sure it was done well & the handyman/electrician had the perseverance to finish the job right for the minimum regardless of the time required.

He was did a great job and I would use them again. He did show up late each morning which was a bit frustrating. My only other complaint was that he left scraps and we had to clean up after the job. The stuff was left on the side of the house so I didn't notice it right away.

Easy appointment, on-time arrival. Nathan was knowledgeable, efficient, personable. Cost of service was a great exchange for no longer having to worry about "those little things" never getting done!

They were average. They could have been a little bit more thorough in their work.
