"Thank you for providing feedback on this project. I am sorry the price on this project was higher but it is because the work was not basic. When this project was discussed we were very clear that changing out a sink that is the same size is fairly straight forward. Changing a sink that is a different size and with a different hole pattern is more complex and will take more time. This sink was a different size and pattern so the process included cutting out the counter top which was granite tile. This is not a trivial task and one that can add several hours to the total job. This project took a full day to complete so the cost of the work was higher than if the work had taken less time. There were no surprises here. We bill for the time it takes to properly complete the project and not a speculative amount of time guessed at over the phone. This allows the customer to pay only for the time needed. The type of work we do is not repetitive so this is fair for both the customer and the contractor. This project did have some set backs. We did need to come back and provide additional sealant and we did need to correct the dishwasher interaction. We warranty on our work so these additional visits were provided at no cost. Perhaps some day we will be perfect but until then we will stand behind our work and will address any problems. Thanks Bob"
"Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Nothing you say here is wrong and all feedback helps us improve. We do have a customer service staff who’s primary responsibility is to answer the phone and assist the customer with listing their projects, providing information about how we can help them and scheduling their technician for a day and time convenient for the customer. We do have a staff of technicians that have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience and are background checked employees of the company. We hire the best technicians in the industry and provide them with the support they need to do a great job for the customer. We do have an administrative staff. These folks take care of the license, bond and insurance that is needed to properly protect the customer. They do the larger job previews and provide up front technical estimates. They support the customer service and field staff when they need help. They do the invoice processing, quality assurance follow ups and accounts receivables. With all of this we are still a small locally owned business trying to build our business one customer at a time. This is not three levels but is multiple functional groups that when things go as planned, work in harmony with each other and provide a professional level of service not found in a guy-and-his-truck type of handyman service. "I am sorry we were not able to help this customer. They are correct in that we spent many hours working on estimates and discussing their projects so that we could get an understanding of what was needed. Unfortunately there were significant communication barriers that kept us from being able to understand what it would take to properly assist on these projects. A project can only be a success if we are able to understand what is needed and communicate how we can address the work. As hard as we tried, we were not able to understand or communicate well enough to ensure success so we respectfully declined the work."

"I don't understand this review. We did not provide any service nor are they in our system scheduled for roof cleaning. We don't clean shake shingle roofs. We are not qualified to work on them so we don't even schedule time to do them. I am sorry there is confusion in who they think scheduled this service. I would however remind them that it is both dangerous to walk on a wet shake single roof and not a good idea no matter how dry it is as shake roofs are fragile. I would recommend that they contact a roof cleaning specialist who can do this work properly."

Although he was almost an hour late due to not going to the right address (he was apologetic), he got right to work upon arrival. We originally thought there might be an issue with a gutter, but after inspecting and adjusting that, he realized the issue was actually with some flashing on the roof itself. He took pictures and explained it all to me, and applied a sealant to the area. He then went to the inside of the attic to see what the overall damage was. We were pleased to find out that no major issues were found. Although we will need to apply a little paint and replace some trim on the inside, we can sleep well at night knowing that our walls aren't full of mold or about ready to collapse.
Overall Mike had a great attitude and was extremely positive to work with.
We will call Mr. Handyman again in the future if we need skilled work done.
