John and his team were excellent! They delivered a high quality patio and they even figured out a way to pour it in the rain.

I was very impressed with their thoroughness and attention to detail. they were able to pour and stamp, even in the rain, and were able to cover the site so there was no damage to the patio. the finished product is amazing and I look forward to using it this spring and summer! thank you for such a great job!

With change orders the final total was 33% more than the original bid they wanted the final payment even though the job is not complete I paid him the full amount They have not come back to finish the job it?s been over three weeks they have not returned my phone calls or text messages nor have they give me the final copy of the invoice very disappointed for a job that cost $29,000

Completely impressed from start to finish! They did exactly what they said they would - and that is a rare thing these days. Good price (not the lowest) but they did some of the little extras that we were looking for. The quality is excellent - matched some existing aggregate finish. You don't need to babysit them. The Lucas team showed up exactly when scheduled, did exactly what they agreed to exactly when they said they would. We had a rain delay but I was kept informed the entire time and am very pleased with the results. Lucas Construction was there when we needed them. They removed our public sidewalk and install a new one, in less than three days. They had a cancelation and squeezed us in. Their crew showed up on time, removed the old concrete sidewalk, completed the initial work for the first inspection and confirmed construction details on the complicated slope with the inspector. They then coordinated the concrete pour and finished the job. Professional and with great customer service. Yes, I would recommend them. And the sidewalk looks GREAT too!

I have a 10'x30' fenced back area to my condo with a small 3'x5' cement patio that was cracked and covered in slimy moss. The rest of the area was dirt and clay so I had little use of it . The only way to grow something was in pots. I was always tracking in mud and debris into my house. Lucas Construction cleaned and cleared out the area including the cement patio and laid a "stamped cement" patio over the entire area. They were wonderful. They went over and above their contract in moving items too heavy for me to move and unpacking things I bought for the new area. The finished product is a beautiful 10'x30' fully usable patio. I still can grow herbs in pots and have installed a cascading waterfall for ambiance. No slimy moss, dirt, and clay being tracked in. They worked hard and efficiently to get it done. I am so happy with them and their work. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting cement work done.

My carport was seriously damaged by huge tree roots that had caused cracks that could not be patched. As such, I obtained bids from a few concrete contractors and chose Lucas Construction LLC who had the lowest bid. I was a bit concerned by going with the lowest bidder but from the start, I was pleased by the approach of the owner who made several visits to the site to tell me exactly how they planned to proceed. He had good ideas about fixing some of the existing problems such poor drainage. The workers could not use heavy equipment due to the slope of the carport roof. This didn't stop the workers who broke up the thick pad by hand. They hauled off all of the broken concrete for disposal and prepared the pad for a concrete pour when the weather would improve. I never saw any workers work so well with each other as a team and do such heavy work without any complaints from start to finish. I was not there when the concrete was poured but the job looked great and stood up to the drainage problems at a recent rain. To sum things up, this contractor did everything on time, did a great job of preparation and finish work and made sure that this difficult project would turn out to be well done. I would use this firm in a heartbeat if I needed a concrete contractor. They well deserve a five star rating.

They have excellent communication, very prompt with responses, they did a fabulous job in a quick turn around, and the neighbors told us what nice guys they all were. I have never seen a harder working group of guys! I highly recommend them.

Had them replace a section of our driveway that was being damaged by tree roots. They showed up as scheduled took out the damaged section cut out the roots and waited to pour until chance of rain had passed. The pour looks great.

We have a difficult area to work with as the workers did not have vehicle access to the backyard so had to wheelbarrow the concrete from the truck around our house to the backyard. They had to rebuild an area of rockery to make room for the sidewalk and steps. They had to wheelbarrow and hand carry everything. They did a wonderful job and perfect clean up. The aggregate finish is perfection! We would hire them again and will tell others about how pleased we are with their work. Very pleasant people to work with.

John is a good salesman and instilled confidence. I called the other company but they never answered so I went with John. The job took six days, but if they had worked 8 hours days in a row, it would have been 3 days. My car had to park on the street for 5 nights. They left a lot of garbage for me to clean up. They filled up my yard waste and recycle with the wrong items so I had to re-sort that. They had to replace three pavers that cracked and that made a white ring around them on the adjoining pavers. John said that would go away when the weather got warmed. It's been almost a year and it hasn't gone away. The pavers look a lot better than my old cement, but I am not sure it was an $8,000 job.

Initially I was impressed by John and how he explained the work would be performed for my sidewalk and steps down to the city street. I obtained permits and the work began with the initial pour the first week of March. I went out to take a look at the finished product and could immediately see the steps were not done properly. The front edge of most was wavy and uneven and several sloped backwards allowing water to collect. The tread heights were not consistent either. I contacted John and explained the issue. It took over a week before he came out to look. He acted as if he could not see the issues I was concerned with when I was pointing them out. John said he would schedule the city inspector to come out and review them. Over the course of the following 10 weeks I stayed in touch with John asking for updates. He would intermittently reply he was having trouble getting the inspector to call him back and had been unable to get an appointment. I gave him leeway but finally just called the city myself and surprisingly I was able to schedule an inspection same day if I desired. I scheduled one a week out to allow John to fit it in his busy schedule to make it. On June 10th (3 months after initial pour) the inspector arrived and he noticed the same issues I had previously mentioned prior to even getting his tape measure out. The steps did not pass inspection and John was told they would need to be removed. John told me he was very busy but would work on having them removed and fixed within two weeks. Just as before I did not hear from John for a considerable time and had to attempt contact with him numerous times before he would respond. Beginning of July John committed to being back out to work and said he would have the steps removed and poured by the weekend of July 22nd. John gets a late start a few days before the deadline and then tells me there is a problem and he won't be able to have it done. He said he had a new project starting somewhere else he needed to work on but might fit me in the end of the following week. The next week comes around and no work was done all the way through Wednesday. I attempted contact multiple times but he would not respond to phone calls or text messages. Late Friday afternoon (day work was supposed to be finished again) he sends me a text saying he has been sick and will finish my project when he is better. Another full week goes by with no answer from John when I checked on an update. 10 days after his last text saying he was sick he sends me a message saying he will be back on my project again as his number one priority. It has been 5 1/2 months since John started this project. I am utterly unimpressed with his professionalism at this point. John has told me numerous times he will make things right and make sure I am satisfied with everything despite the constant delays. I truly hope this will happen but I can not see how there is justification for taking so long to finish and

John is a wonderful professional and his team perform top-notch. We would not hesitate to hire them for future projects.

The professional did a pretty good job. The only thing the professional needs to improve in, is communicating better with the clients on his proposal/estimate.
