It went well! Jeff and I were able to arrange a time, the crew arrived on time and set to work right away. They were able to remove a large stain as well as all of the odor. Once they had finished cleaning, they sprayed a mold inhibitor around the edges of the room where the carpet abuts the concrete walls. The carpet looked great and the entire basement smelled great. My very observant and demanding friend who met the crew on my behalf told me that she was so impressed that she'd hire them herself. I'd certainly use the company again.

Kangaroo got to my house when they said they would, came in, did their job, cleaned up after themselves and left. Exactly what I was looking for. I will have them back to work on our other carpets.

It was easy to schedule with Kangaroo. They were very courteous on the phone and showed up for their appointment as scheduled. They worked quickly and showed respect for every object and piece of furniture they had to move during the cleaning process. In addiiton, the workmen were very easy to be around. I had no reservations about them working in my home. The end result was fantastic. My carpet has never been this clean since it was installed 12 years ago. We definitely will use them again.

From first contact Jeff provided an accurate estimate and stuck with it. He and his assistant showed up on time and compoleted the work expeditiously. The quality of the service was excellent. He only accepts cash or checks, this would have been helpful to have known in advance.

I am very disappointed with this company, will not use them again, and do not recommend them. Both before the job and while they were at the house, I asked them several times whether they could clean under the beds. They assured me that they had equipment to reach under the beds. I was slighly concerned when Jeff said that they usually didn't worry about under the beds because "people don't walk under there," which not only denigrated my concerns, but was was an odd thing for a carpet cleaner to say, given that foot traffic is not the only thing that makes carpets dirty--dust, pet hair, and airborne particles certainly settle under beds. I should have taken that as a sign. I went to a lot of trouble to move all my furniture and items away from the beds so that they would have easy access to get under there as far as possible. I left the house while the job was going on and returned after they had left. It was painfully apparent that nothing had been done under the beds--a quick check under each bed revealed carpet that was totally dry (whereas all the rest of the carpet was still damp), and I was easily able to pull up fingerfulls of cat hair and other bits of junk. Under one bed I could still see the imprint of an ironing board that had been sitting under the bed (before I moved it in order to give them a nice accessible space). If the carpet had been cleaned, that imprint would not have been visible, or at least far less visible. Skeptical of their thoroughness at this point, I checked behind the doors. All of them seemed dirtier and drier than you'd expect after a cleaning, and behind the small bedroom door it was completely obvious that they hadn't closed the door and cleaned behind it. This struck me as not only sloppy, but also disrespectful, given that I had expressed to them a good deal of concern about the carpets under the beds. But understanding that things get forgotten (although forgetting to clean under two or three beds and as many doors seems like a stretch), I left two polite emails and two polite phone calls over the course of a week, asking for clarification as to what had happened (eg., Were my expectations too high? Do the spaces under beds just not get as clean and damp as the rest of the room?). However, Kangaroo chose to ignore BOTH my emails and BOTH my phone calls. Only in the very last phone call did I ask for my money back; prior to that I simply wanted to discuss the issue. I never received a response to my last phone call either. This is ironic because in their literature they say that if it's not the most thorough cleaning you've ever seen, you get your money back. Ha! It's just words. To simply ignore a customer's emails and phone calls, especially polite ones spaced out over the course of a week, is unprofessional and also hurtful to the customer. I do not tend to nitpick; over this last summer I have had about five different teams of contractors in the house, and Kangaroo is the only company I have had a disappointing experience with.

They were fantastic. The job went very well. They did an excellent job with the carpets. They look like new. They were early and brought all their stuff and they did the job quickly. They were very clean. I have never had my carpets cleaned before. They were professional and responsive. I called and then they showed up I think the next day or a couple of days after that. They were punctual. They did a great job. I would recommend them. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They were very prompt and did an excellent job and were quite reasonable compared to others I had called but I've forgotten exactly what I paid then since it was back in the Spring. I also have forgotten the exact date the work was done. I was pleased with their work and immediately scheduled for them to come back and do some other rooms. Unfortunately, my schedule and some other issues kept me from keeping that appointment, but I will do so in the future.

Another score for Angie?s List! Jeff Holman and his helper Floyd arrived on time and got right to work. I was really worried because our hot water heater had gone out the day before and they had to do the whole job with cold tap water. The results were spectacular: The carpets looked like brand new! I had discovered Kangaroo from one of the Angie?s list specials that arrive in email, and would never have known about them except for that. They did the three downstairs rooms and the stairway. My wife and I can?t wait to have them back to do the five bedrooms upstairs. We would definitely recommend them to our friends.

I have a large dog, and two visiting dogs. First the visiting dog got sick, all over my guest room. The guys came out and cleaned that room plus one. They did a great job, no traces of anything left behind. Then my dog got sick one day later all over the white carpeting they had just cleaned. They came out the SAME day. Unheard of! They bent over backwards for me, and did another outstanding job. Honestly, I cannot give them a high enough recommendation. The work was great, from the moment they picked up the phone all the way to end. The carpet has never been cleaner and I am relieved. My advice, hire these guys!

They worked to accommodate my schedule and also were very thorough and professional. They were very careful with the items in the home and did a thorough job (even around the baseboards)!. The place looks and smells great! Thanks!

Jeff & Floyd were on time; told me the process, how long it would take, etc. Very professional attitude and demeanor. Carpets look like new; after 2 teenage boys & friends, this was really needed. Would not hesitate to use them again.

They were okay. There were some spots left that I think was from their hoses. I did call them back about something in the bedroom and they did some back and use a rake. I don't think I would use them again.

I thought they did a fine job and they were very nice and polite. The carpets looked and smelled a lot better which is what I was hoping for. They were good with my furniture so they didn’t damage anything. I will definitely use them again and pass their card to my neighbors. I thought I would get a better price because I went through Angie’s List but that didn’t happen; that was probably a misunderstanding on my part. They were still cheaper than some of the other big carpet cleaning chains. They were actually early which was nice.

It went very well. They were very dedicated and very willing to please me. They made sure that the work that they did was very well done. It was a pleasant experience overall.

Nice work. The guys (2) arrived about 11 am, hooked up the machines (to household sinks), cleaned four sizeable rooms of carpet, cleaned up, and were gone by about 2 pm. The carpets were dry to the touch around 7 pm (they provide shoe covers so you can walk on the carpets as soon as you like.) The cleaning fluid has a pleasant citrus smell, not heavy at all, and didn't linger. We have some older carpet of unknown age in two of the rooms and it looks much fresher after the cleaning. There were a couple of places that couldn't be cleaned - one probably a bleached out spot and the other an old rust stain - but Jeff pointed those out as they were cleaning. They treated the rust stains and they actually did improve a bit, but since the stains are who knows how old, one can't expect a miracle. I purchased a deal for this service and got way more value than what I paid for it. I plan to have Kangaroo come back to clean a sofa and some tile at a later date.

It went very well. We're getting ready to sell out house, have had a lot of contractors come through over the past month leaving a lot of stains and paint. Jeff and his assistant were able to get our 6 year old carpets looking practically new.

I am not sure if I would use them again in the future.

Jeffrey and helper arrived early, set up their gear and moved quickly through the house, thoroughly cleaning all rug surfaces with the newest water extraction equipment on the market. Several spots that were heavily stained took much longer to dry than the rest of the house, and we couldn't put furniture back into place for more than 2 days, but all came out looking great. Even tho this was purchased as a discounted Angie's List "Big Deal," I would consider the work to be well worth the cost, even at original price.

The shampoo machine needed repair which was a bit of a set back. Repaired on-site and good job on the carpets.

They did an amazing job cleaning our filthy carpet in our basement, stairs, hallway, and one bedroom. The carpet looks new. Very positive experience. We will be using them again.

The work was excellent. Hired the company under Big Deal (3 rooms for $135). What a bargain!!!! Jeff did just what he said he would do. Showed up on time. Cleaned soiled spots and idicated the status of spots. Didn't charge extra for cleaning spots. House smelled clean afterwards just as Jeff said it would. Also appreciated the efficiency in which the job was done,:under two hours. Would definitely use again!!!!!!!!!!

I called Jeff at Kangaroo Carpet Cleaning Services about two weeks ago. He was able to give me an estimate on the phone and schedule the cleaining in one phone call. Only because I was on vacation did I have to wait two weeks. I originally scheduled to have KC clean bedrooms, hallway, living room and dining room. The basement and stairs were an add on and he was happy to do it for me that same day. Jeff and Floyd thouroughly cleaned all of the carpet in my home. I am very pleased with the way it looks and the "green" cleaner he uses smells great. He gave all of us plastic booties to wear until the carpets dry. I am very happy with my carpets. I am a bit concerned that some of my carpet is still damp but I'm going to call him about that now. I will still plan to use him in the future. He even assured me that the price I paid for this service will always be my price. How awesome is that?!

I just recently moved out of a townhouse in Alexandria and was in a time crunch to get the carpet cleaned. Jeff was able to fit me in to his busy schedule within two days notice. He gave me a quote on the phone and never raised the price. He did a fantastic job and I'm very happy with the service. No problems whatsoever, and my ex-landlord was also very pleased with the cleaning. Thank you!

Jeff took the time to go through the rooms with me beforehand to find out any specific concerns I had. They paid attention to detail and even gave extra attention to areas that they came across that I hadn't even pointed out. They did a quality job.
