Fermin led the hands on deck attachment. He did on the fly customizations as well. Everything done to my complete satisfaction. Also had them do some other small jobs while they were there. Quality, Price, Timeliness, everything was perfect.

Professional and hard working team did an excellent job on replacing our wood deck with composite materials. Everything was done on time and within expected cost.

I hired HomeGuard Renovations to replace my deck based on the great reviews on this site. The pre-contract discussion was outstanding. The deck cost was $16,900 with a down payment of $5,900, which I paid on 17 June 22. The approximate start date was 5-7 weeks. They did not start until 6 Aug and told me it would take about 3-4 days to finish. They would do work, then stop because they needed some extra parts that were on backorder. The problem was, I kept having to call them to get updates instead of them initiating calls to give me a status. On approximately 26 August, they sent me a request for payment saying the deck was completed without the project manager even doing a walk through. The safety of the deck was worse than it was before they started, and we actually had to ask them to come back and fix it. There were also parts on the deck that were not securely attached but just placed on the deck. Additionally, they left a ton of extra equipment under the deck. They finally came back and fixed all the incomplete issues, and the deck was completed on 4 Sep--nearly 3 months after I gave them the down payment. Communication throughout the project was terrible and they blamed a lot on weather, which was not true. I know everybody else reviews were terrific, but under no circumstances would I recommend these people for anything.

Very easy to work with from start to finish --- their team work together well and were quick to respond to our initial request for a quote (many companies did not even do that) and then to follow-up with the work. Their time frame was clear and they began and completed the work last week. They listened to our concerns and answered our questions. They also worked with us on a less complicated job to power wash the outside of our home. They gave us a fair quote and completed that work today. Overall, we feel valued as customers and are very happy with the work. Excellent service! Highly recommended!

From the beginning, Luis was open about what needed to be done (he didnâ t try to sell anything extra). He was concise and explained everything that was asked of him. Sanchez (Kevin) and Jose worked hard and made sure everything was done well. I am glad I called Luis and signed up with Home Guard to renovate my deck.

Working with my project manager Jordan has been a pleasure. When I call him he always call me back to see what I need. My first time experience had been great so far.

These guys are absolutely FANTASTIC!! They are very thorough and pay attention to detail. I was very nervous about my project before I hired them but I'm glad I made the right decision. Jordan is outstanding to work with. He treats you like he really wants to earn and keep your business. Also, this is a veteran friendly company so that is very much appreciated. They are about 80 percent complete with my project but I'm not worried at all. Based on what I've seen thus far, I'm sure the finished product will be to my liking. The estimate was very competitive, given I had several to choose from. The roof replacement was scheduled quickly and the crew got straight to work when they arrived.
