Great Job Moving and Storage

This company was terrific! We got a number of moving estimates and they were the cheapest. That at first made me suspicious, since so often the quality suffers, but we went with them based on their great reviews. And they were fantastic. A team of three came and packed the items we hadn't gotten to. It was a Saturday. They came on time, were efficient and professional, and finished on time. I only wish they'd labeled the boxes more accurately ("glassses" instead of "kitchen", etc), but we have that same issue with every moving company. Then on moving day, they performed a superhuman job. Four guys moved our entire household, which required three trips, efficiently and with no complaints. The day was about 12 hours but they were dependable and careful throughout. I was very happy with our experience and will certainly use them again!

G&J's crew we had were great! They made the best our of a difficult situation, as we were unsure we were going to be able to move into our new place at the time, and were very patient with our haul. When we arrived at the new house, they made quick work of unloading the truck and assembling furniture in our new place, which has multiple staircases to navigate just to unload the belongings. Although the entire move had them there until after 10:00PM, they never complained once, and were courteous and polite. We made sure to tip them generously to show our appreciation for their help, and I called their company within a few days to express how happy we were with the crew that helped us. We would definitely use them again.

They were fabulous. They arrived on time, and finished the move in three and a half hours. Nothing was damaged. They were careful with all pieces of furniture and artwork.

Communicated with provider via Angie's List. Received a non-binding estimate that was much higher than I expected. Contacted multiple other providers and received binding estimates that were more satisfactory.

They were willing to do the move, but it was going to be late and I was worried about there safety due to the weather. Unfortunately we couldn't reschedule.

That turned out just fine. Scheduling with them was easy. They were able to deliver and nothing was too badly damaged. The move was about 25 miles, from Centerville to Arlington. They were professional, nice and easy to communicate with too. I did have to pay extra for every extra hour. They were there for about 8 hours total and that price was less than $2,000.

Arrived on time and immediately went to work. Promptly performed service which was billed out on an hourly rate. Performed meticulous uphill handling of furniture into challenging door frames with no damage. Will use again.

The truck showed up at a reasonable time and the guys were ready to work. The crew was above average in most every way. The organization would get an "A" in each category except that the owner has a limit for distance on the "Big Deal" and beyond that line, there was an extra charge. When I called he had to check zip codes and do some math. I offered to do it for him bu he said the calculation was from his office and more than 50 miles away on any part of the trip, (pickup or delivery) there was a charge for fuel and truck expense. Now that is reasonable. The charge of $100 was crazy. What bothered me was that the destination was exactly 7 miles over 50 miles away from his shop. Seven miles on an old 16 foot truck? An addition of $25 or at most -- $50 ---- would be generous. The responsiveness downgrade was probably true of most movers in this area. See, I sold many items from the list b/4 they got here. Since so many were gone, I asked them to substitute two others. That didn't happen though they were good otherwise. The driver was one of the best I ever saw. They were also friendly and wrapped and padded items well. I gave them a tip.

They just moved a couch, bed, and a chair. Their truck broke down and they were late getting to the appointment. Then the truck began to overheat. They were very quick once they showed up to the destination. It took an extra hour of time and they didn't charge us for the additional time. They were a little rough with the furniture, but I expect that with movers.

This company is great. From the instance I purchased the deal until the actual move, they were in contact with me. The sent a form out ahead of time and based on the information they put in they recommended upgrading to a bigger truck and adding one extra person. I said yes to the truck and no to the extra person. The day before they were supposed to come, I closed on my house and saw that I may need that extra person after all. I called them up and they were able to accommodate me. The movers showed up on time and were very courteous. Any time that there could have been a possible issue, they let me know. All my furniture showed up in tact and they were very careful when moving. The even asked permission to take a break, which I had no problems with. These guys busted their butts, it took a total of 9 hours. They do use a lot of tape, which they charge for, but they let me know the costs and since all my furniture arrived in tact, I have no complaints about that. The only thing that bothered me was that early in the morning they all were on their phones for extended periods of time. They were still working but when they were off their phones they worked faster. I would definitely recommend this company for moving and would use them again (Hopefully not in the near future though, moving is a pain :)

They did a good job but they were a couple hours late arriving to my home. We were moving into our new house in the evening. They did do a good job when they arrived.

Things went fine. They were on time, and they were careful with moving the furniture. We incurred some extra charges for packing charges. They were prompt. efficient, and reliable. The packing fees were high.We had the coupon, and we spent an extra 250 Dollars.

My daughter's move went extremely smoothly. No complaints at all! Jeff & Alex, were easy to deal with. They were quick to provide moving quote, which was very reasonable. They were very prompt on returning phone calls and/or responding to emails to work out logistics. The day of the move went like clockwork, The two well groomed and clean guys arrived within the agreed time frame. They were friendly and pleasant, and we felt completely comfortable in our choice of mover from the moment they walked in. The guys worked efficiently to get boxes & furniture out of the apt and into the truck. They carried everything with great care and consideration. The move was from DC to NYC. The guys loaded up quickly and were on their way. They actually arrived much before us as we were detained in leaving DC. My daughter was able to call ahead to her new bldg. front desk/super and keys were given to the guys so they could begin the move in before we arrived. When we got to the bldg, they were just bringing in the last set of boxes. Everything had been very neatly unloaded in to her new apt. Since we had not been there to supervise placement of furniture, they had taken the initiative to place furniture where they thought things might go, and when we arrived they offered to rearrange anything according to my daughter's plan. These guys went above and beyond what one would expect of movers, and we were very pleased. I wish them well and lots of success.

They really made my moving experience pleasant.

G&J Movers was fantastic. When I first contacted them, they were quick with response and able to schedule me on the date requested. Then my closing was moved back and I needed to move over the Labor Day weekend. They did not have availablility but managed to squeeze me in on the Sunday before Labor Day. The crew was scheduled to be there at noon. They called me to let me know that they were running a little behind and arrived by 1pm. They packed up 4 rooms of furniture drive the over 20 miles to my new home and put all of the furniture in it's place in my new home in just around 4 hours. The crew was hard working and professional. They handled my furniture with the utmost care and there was no damage to my furniture. iI was completely satisfied with the service that I recieved. I would HIGHLY recommend G&J Moving.

They were great. They were everything that you would expect from a moving company. They were very professional, courteous, timely and courteous. They were perfect.

They did a great job. This was an energetic crew. They were on time and made quick work first of the condo, took everything to the new house and unloaded it into the appropriate rooms. They then went to the rowhouse, loaded everything into the truck and took it to the new house and unloaded it. They started at about 9am in the morning, and had both houses moved and unloaded by 4pm int eh afternoon. These guys were great. Were very careful of our possessions, even wrapped things that I would not have wrapped if I were moving the things myself. They were very careful about how things were packed into the truck, and then took great care unpacking. This was a really good experience.

The 3 person crew showed up on time and completed the job within the 3 hour time window. The only surprise (minor) was the charge of $3 for each roll of tape they used when wrapping furniture in blankets. Not huge but a little irritating as this type expense has always been included in my prior moves.
