We were looking for the right fit for the back of our house that has a pretty steep slope to the river. Johnny came over a couple times as we were going back and forth between a patio and a deck. At first we went with a patio, but then after consideration changed our mind to a deck. Johnny was great with ideas and pricing out paths. After we settled on a design, Ricardo and Miguel were on site daily early and worked diligently with pausing to let us review and ask questions. The work was done timely and great communication. The finished product was way better than we could have expected. It really has added a new living area to our house that our friends have even raved about. If you are looking for a small business that is going to deliver on what was promised, then go with Deck Envy. Johnny, Ricardo and Miguel were stars.

Johnny, Ricardo, and Miguel did an amazing job on our new deck. When we first met with Johnny, he took the time to help plan the deck & even gave a quick sketch of how it would look in our backyard. He also provided a detailed written estimate listing not only the specific materials that would be used but also identifying the companyâ s license #, and indicating up front certain items, such as the companyâ s policy of â treating each project as if it were done for [their] own home.â The companyâ s commitment to that statement was made apparent to me when a slight modification to our deck had to be made during construction. Our builder, Ricardo, (who was skillful, knowledgeable, & creative in his approach to the construction) made clear that the modification was necessary not only for safety reasons, but also to ensure that should we ever decide to sell our house, there would be no concerns over the integrity or craftsmanship of the deck. Ricardo was assisted by Miguel, and throughout the process they worked efficiently and tirelessly. They also made sure that the work was done correctly, including at one point, adding further anchoring support for a gazebo that I had placed on the deck when it was near completion. It was truly a pleasure to have them working at our home. Finally, we received several estimates before selecting Deck Envy. They were not the least expensive or the most expensive. However, the quality of the finished product along with the positive overall experience have left my family feeling like we got an excellent value. We look forward to hopefully many years of enjoyment on our new deck built by Deck Envy.

From start to finish Deck Envy was an excellent choice for building a new deck on our Townhouse. The Deck Envy Crew (Johnny, Ricardo, Johnathon, and Chris) are a great team and they were very flexible in working within our schedule. Deck Envy just finished a project of ripping out my 22 year old upper and lower decks. They replaced the top deck with Trek and the bottom with a flagstone terrace. The entire thing is gorgeous! Ricardo and crew did an amazing job on the deck and Fabian and crew did a beautiful job on my patio. The stone work is incredible. The entire team was easy to work with, polite, reliable and worked extremely hard to ensure I was happy. The process was easy and painless. And it happened so quickly. Amazing job! We were very, very pleased with the work done by Deck Envy, from the very beginning when Johnny first stopped by through his walkthrough at completion. Ricardo and Miguel arrived promptly each morning and did an outstanding job, working diligently through the day and tidying up the worksite at the end of each day. Johnny and Ricardo stayed in touch with us throughout the project, keeping us informed of the progress and the path ahead. We were very impressed with and appreciative of their responsiveness, attention to detail, and willingness to work with us to make sure we were completely satisfied with the deck. Initially we wanted to extend our deck and build a shed roof over the new extension but after talking with Johnny, he advised us against the idea because he thought it would not be a good investment. He is super professional and really knowledgeable on material, style, and decks. I was not planning to start my new deck until spring but after a positive chat with Johnny I decided to start the project ASAP. Ricardo and Miguel are two amazing guys. They have impeccable workmanship. Every little detail was carefully reviewed and corrected. They reported to work everyday at exact time. They were very accommodating when asked upon to adjust their schedule to meet mine because one day I couldnâ t be available in the morning. Despite all my requests to adjust time and make correction, they finished the project earlier than promised. I have already made plan with Deck Envy on my next home. Definitely recommended.

They did a wonderful job resurfacing our deck with Trex. They literally redid the entire porch in a single (long) day and the end results were fantastic. High quality service and would highly recommend.

Johnny was the first contractor we met with to discuss our big project of a new deck and patio, and a front porch/walkway upgrade. We did our due diligence by meeting with other contractors, but no one compared with the first meeting impression we had with Johnny. He was straightforward, spent time discussing the design details, gave us suggestions on how we could make our ideas even better, and we felt comfortable with him. Throughout the entire project Johnny consistently kept us updated and checked in. Ricardo and his crew were fantastic with our deck build. They were all very detailed and answered all of our questions. If anything came up different during the construction, we discussed alternatives and solutions with Ricardo and he made sure we were happy. The cascading landing at the bottom of our deck stairs is a work or art! We had a similar experience with Fabian and the patio crew. They were prompt and work diligently to project completion. The amount of work and detail that went into the stonework was truly impressive. We asked for a couple of changes along the way and had something that needed to be fixed, and they were addressed immediately to our satisfaction. Both deck and patio crews were very professional, punctual. and there was always open communication. The work area was kept clean, and they paid attention to all surroundings. Every night they made sure to cleanup and organize everything, not leaving mess. We were very impressed by the quality of their work and attention to details. Johnny, Ricardo and Miguel did a fantastic job replacing our wood deck with composite decking and installing a new cable railing system. The price was fair and there were no surprises. Johnny consistently communicated the status and progress throughout the entire process. The quality of the work was great. We will definitely use them again!

Johnny Yo of Deck Envy made it a point to visit my home to review my project needs before making price estimates and a written work flow of items for me to review. I had 2 project needs: 1) repair of patio pavers along with cleaning, adding new polymeric sand between pavers and sealant, 2) repair of outside stairs that leads to the patio. Johnny assigned 2 foremen that specialized in each project. The teams were very professional as they completed the work items. After completion the foremen were responsive to our requests for a couple of "touch up items" to meet our expectations. Excellent company!

Fairfax, VA Project: New Deck and New Fence I was looking to build a new deck and a new fence , I have tried to search for a right contractor for a while , when I called Deck Envy and spoke to Johnny he came and gave me an estimate he was very professional and friendly , he listen to what I want to say and then he gave me a great input about how to build a nice deck and steady fence , Very impressive speech , so I decided to sign a contract with Deck Envy. Then........two weeks later Johnny informed me that Ricardo and his crews will start working on my project, I was so excited and canâ t wait to enjoy my new decks and fence. They were awesome and pleasant they came and work hard from 7:30 AM to 5 PM and clean up neatly every day before they leave my property , it took nearly 4 days to complete 2 projects as promised. Now I have a brand new deck and fence with high quality of Trex and pressure treated wood . Over all I am very very happy with their performance Thank you Johnny , Ricardo and his screws . Deck Envy was the last company we met with to replace our 27 year old deck. Met with Johnny Vo to describe what we were looking for; he was professional, honest, attentive, provided excellent feedback, and gave us the best price. Ricardo and his team were outstanding: they showed up on time, worked hard, were highly efficient and produced a quality product . I met with the owner Johnny Vo for the initial estimate and consultation. He provided excellent details in his answers to our questions related to the type of deck we wanted. His company was able to produce all of the complex documentation required to pass our strict HOA design review and it was approved without issues. His quoted estimate was lower than the other vendors we interviewed despite Deck Envy only using the highest level of Trex. The actual build process was amazing. We were told that the deck would be built in 3-4 days (assuming no rain) which I thought was quite aggressive but they ended up completing it in exactly 3 days as promised. They kept my yard clean and were very pleasant to talk to when I had any questions. The other owner, Ricardo, was part of the crew building the deck and he was awesome! If you value craftsmanship and value, then I recommend Deck Envy.

Johnny was great from the beginning when he came to meet us to hear what we want for our new deck and he listen and gave us a very reasonable price for what we are asking for. Ricardo is wonderful cause he know exactly what we want and even willing to do extra to make us happy and satisfied with his job. Several neighbors had their decks rebuilt by Deck Envy. My neighbor's deck with Trex and aluminum balusters were eye catching, so I made an inquiry. My previous deck built by Deck America was falling apart after 18 years and I wanted a new one with less maintenance. Composite and aluminum is a great combination. Deck Envy was able to come give me a quote and their quote was the lowest. I was happy with the quote as another firm charges more for the Trex line I got. I was quite surprised that Deck Envy included an LED deck light. Due to the pandemic, Deck Envy's supplier didn't have all the materials. Rather than waste more time, the project manager went to other sources to get the needed lumber. In the process of delivering the materials to my house, the supplier delivery man accidentally dented my garage door. I contacted the supplier and the driver had reported the mishap. The supplier quickly ordered the right garage door panel and it was replaced. From the time the deck was torn down to the end of the job took about 4 days. The foreman summarized what was done before he left and I appreciated it. The project manager also kept me in the loop and stopped by several times. If anyone is going to have a deck replaced or built, be aware that large holes need to be dug for the footers so one needs to remove any precious flowers near those foot prints. Overall, I am very happy with the deck and appreciate the excellent customer service received.
