The service was professional and clean and the technicians were helpful and friendly. The techs actually were quite early for the appointment, which was not a bad thing and took care of the job in a prompt manner. I'd caution anyone buying a coupon through Angie's List that Ace does not schedule their appointments through Angie's List, you must contact them separately. I was waiting for a response from them and ended up with a separate email once Angie's List contacted Ace on my behalf. Beyond that mild disappointment, they also had to reschedule my service due to another job running longer than expected. While this was no big deal and I did get a head's up they had to cancel, it was only 10 minutes before I was expecting their arrival. Overall, this is a very professional company I'd recommend.

Chimney inspection went very well, excellent in all categories.

I purchased this for a property I own. The problem is that I had to continue to call the provider and I asked once he completed the work for an investment property we own to please call me. I have yet to hear from him to see how it all went.

Ace made a cover and repaired the flashing after explaining the whys of everything, going up into my attic, and showing me photos of what needed to be done once on top of the roof. | |It was great to do business with them at a more than fair price.

From first contact through completion of the job, Ryan was a consummate professional. He and his assistant arrived on time, went straight to work and did a superb job. They were both very professional and friendly. Ryan is both honest and very knowledgeable. He provided me with some alternative shops that sell fireplace doors and inserts. I have dealt with chimney sweeps in the past and have found some to be dishonest; in one instance in northern Virginia, a company used the $99 teaser chimney cleaning service to recommend a $6000 chimney lining service for "safety" reasons. Ryan assessed the condition of our chimney as excellent and safe. Had he said otherwise, I would have been strongly inclined to believe him since his solid character is readily evident in his frank comportment.

Ryan and his assistant arrived on time and were both professional and polite. They took steps to ensure that the area remained clean throughout their work. After they finished inspecting and cleaning, Ryan took sufficient time to explain the condition of the chimney & fireplace and made recommendations along with price quotes for the work. I felt that he was honest and reasonable. I will be calling him again to make the necessary repairs and would recommend this company to others.

It went very well. He was on time and very professional. He did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. He informed me of some repairs that I might need in the next few years but my chimney is perfectly fine now. There was a snag in scheduling due to some disconnect between Angie's list and his company. I tried emailing him through Angie's list but it didn't work. But as soon as I contacted him by phone we were able to schedule a cleaning. I will definitely be using his services again.

The young man arrived promptly, ready to work. He inspected my chimney thoroughly and confirmed that my chimney was in good condition. Three or four years ago, I had had the chimney inspected by a representative of a large chain and was told that my chimney was falling apart and needed over a thousand dollars worth of work. I then had a former fireman do an inspection and was told exactly what this young man had--that my chimney was fine. (I wanted to get a second confirmation of the quality of my chimney because chimney fires are such a hazard.) This maintenance visit confirmed that my chimney was in working order. He did inform me that my chimney cap had been cracked and gave me a reasonable estimate on replacing it. I was planning on replacing my roof and had seen the the cap had indeed been cracked and semi-repaired on a few occasions. I haven't yet done anything about the cap, but I will replace it using this service in the spring.

The owner, Ryan, and another person came out to perform the initial service of cleaning our chimney. They were very punctual, arriving about 5 minutes before the scheduled time, and were very focused and completed the work quickly. Ryan went over his findings with our chimney inspection and informed us that we did not have a chimney cap. He did not "hard sell" us on getting a chimney cap, but politely went over the benefits of having one and the cost. We decided to purchase the chimney cap and he had it fully installed by the time his colleague finished cleaning up inside. We also scheduled a chimney inspection and cleaning for a rental property, which we had performed the next week. Ryan and his crew went over, performed the work, went over the proper way to use the fireplace with our tenant, and then mailed us the invoice along with a typed letter informing us of his findings and recommendations. Even though we are not currently doing any of the extra work he recommended, the time and effort he put into it showed me that he cared. When it comes time for us to do the extra work recommended or have another chimney cleaning, we will definitely be calling this company and have already recommended them to friends.

Ace doesn't use the "Angie's" scheduling tool, so we had a bit of a disconnect in the scheduling. It worked out OK and Ryan is very responsive via his own email address. Also, the price was a bit higher than the Angie's listed price. I wasn't home at the time...maybe because it's a two-story? Also had them add a stainless cap for which the price was competitive compared to online retailers. Overall very satisfied, but the scheduling and price threw me off a little.

It went well. Ryan did a thorough job and provided good information about future health of chimney.

Ryan was early and efficient. They used a tarp and my cream carpet was never in danger. The work was thorough. Ryan was very knowledgeable and answered a few questions I had (as it is a new house to us). They inspected the roof and pointed out some items but there was no pressure AT ALL to do any repairs.

Ace came to our home on December 12. They were punctual and worked quickly and efficiently. They were quite pleasant and did a wonderful job. We will definitely call them back for our fireplace needs.

Timely, and professional. They cleaned the flue area of accumulated debris. When they inspected the chimney they noted that the mortar around the chimney cap was deteriorating and that the sealing around the chimney flashing was gone. They were able to repair these items on the spot. Quick and efficient, we would call them for additional work if needed.

I got a angie's list deal and it was amazing. Ryan was right on time. He returned my callalmost immediately. My fireplace still had ashes in it from last year and I was going to clean that out but he said don't bother I will get it. He and his helper were clean. Did't leave any dust or dirt anywhere and did a thorough job. They spent almost an hour cleaning and final inspection. I will use them again in the future. I have used about 5 other companies in the past and this is the best job I have ever had.

After speaking with the representative from the company, we decided that it would be better to sweep the chimney in the spring. So far, the company is very, very nice to work with. He seemed very accommodating over the phone and I don't expect to pay anymore than I've already paid for the Big Deal offer.

Drum roll please! Ryan showed up on time and quickly got to work. After noticing a cleaner chimney due to all of the debris he cleaned out, he gave me some tips for my fireplace, showed areas that may need concern in a few years, and demonstrated use of my fireplace! I appreciate his service and will DEFINITELY call him in the future. He is the only chimney sweep you will ever need!

When I first called them he answered and was really nice to talk to. Honored the Angies List price without going through Angies list. (very impressive) Ryan (the owner) said he would be there at 8am and they were.... They were both very nice to talk with. Upon inspection Ryan recommened several things be repaired. Things that were told to me before so I knew he wasnt making it up. The nice thing about his recommendations is that he presented them without any awkward high pressure. He said it and that was it... Would I uses this company again or suggest this company to my friends......? Yes.... for sure. They are returning in January to do the repairs.

Owner Ryan and his helper were very insightful and had some recommendations that I never thought of. There work was clean protecting my floor area with a tarp. Ryan was very professional and timely.

This deal was sent to us from an incorrect region, but that was most likely Angie's List's issue. Ace Chimney was very understanding on the phone and apologized for the inconvenience. I cannot speak to their work, but the phone etiquette was top notch.

I was charged about $50 dollars more because the deal was for a fireplace chimney sweep. There was some miscommunication with the deal and what it covered. He told us right up front about what the deal covered, but still did the work for us anyway. They scheduling was very easy and he was very accommodating. Everything with the work was good. They were very professional.

Our initial contact with Ace Chimney Sweep was prompted by a discount "deal" offered via Angie's List for inspection and cleaning of our dryer duct. I received a phone call within 24 hours to set up the appointment date and time; Ryan and his associate arrived as scheduled. Inspection and cleaning proceeded swiftly with the area being left in immaculate condition at the end. As part of their service, they did a visual inspection (using binoculars) followed by a ladder to the roof trip to take photos of the chimney, where there was a significant amount of rusting of the chimney cap and attached crown. I decided to have the damaged parts replaced (Ace has the replacement parts fabricated to match the chimney); this required about 10 days (and accounts for the bulk of the price for service I noted above). The old chimney cap was removed, the replacement installed and coated (to match the house color) as scheduled, again with perfect cleanup of the area. Overall and in all particulars, we found Ace Chimney Sweep (and Ryan specifically) to be completely satisfactory and professional and then some.
