Mitch and Howard let us know the progress on the order, install date and time weeks ahead. They were timely, friendly, polite, neat and methodical doing this work. They were conscientious about using the gate, not letting the dogs out and communicating with me while working here. Very impressive with attention to detail.

I contacted Paramount Builders on the phone and talked to a Customer Service Representative, introduced as "Virginia". I gave her a synopsis of what I was inquiring about - requesting a visit by a reperesentative to provide a quote for 20 replacement windows, vinyl, white in color, with Colonial grids and double hung. The Customer Service Representative asked if my wife would be present and I indicated that she would not. The rep replied that it was company policy that the other spouse be in attendance for the service call. My response to the rep was clear that any decision about whether the other spouse would be present was not going to be dicated by the contractor and that the window replacement decision was entirely mine to make. I was also asked if my wife was on the Deed. She replied that she appreciated that I was the "man of the house" but their policy was firm. I then requested to speak to a manager. The manager explained that their policy required the other spouse to be present during the service call and that they can come out when our schedules allowed. I told the manager we are not doing that nonsense. He replied he could not help me if the other spouse will not be present. The manager inidicated that having the other spouse present will prevent them from having to go back out to the service location to answer questions if the other spouse, not present, has questions that didn't come up during the original service call. I assured him that that is not an issue, we could use email or a telephone to clear up any questions. He would not budge and I declined to continue with using their services. This policy is the classic sales technique to have both spouses engaged at the service call, for the possibility of having to leverage one spouse against the other to get in uneeded features or undesired specifications to improve profit.

The paramount workers were friendly, happy, and hard working team. They cleaned up each day, were on time, and did great work. The trim looking fantastic.

Great experience. All the work was done in 2 days while I was at work -- I only had to meet with the crew once to sign completion paperwork.

We didn’t like their quote; it was unreal. They quoted us $4500. I expected them to be a little higher than some of the others but they were quite a bit higher. I don’t have anything bad to say about them or even good. They were pretty quick to respond.

The unprofessional-ism of this company was astonishing and I definitely would not let them even touch my roof after the experience with them while trying to get a simple estimate. I first had scheduled an appointment with them for a Saturday in the morning which they never showed up for. They never even gave me a phone call in an attempt to reschedule. Then three days later I received a call from someone saying that the person I scheduled with had an accident and they didn't realize that my appointment was made and that they wanted to reschedule for that Friday night. Simple business ethics states that if someone is unable to cover their customers then you need to establish contact immediately if at least to reschedule. Never, Ever, stand up a customer, horrible business practice. To make up for the inconvenience they said that they would provide me with an inconvenience discount on top of the one I was already getting. Well that sounded nice, and I figured that even though this was a serious case of gross negligence on their customers, having that extra discount on the estimate would be a nice number to have when negotiating with other companies. This salesperson that they sent to my house was a real joy to watch. Went through the whole textbook when it came to high pressure selling. At first the meeting started alright, with him showing me the product and letting me know about the company history, etc. Then he went out to do his measurements which would turn out to be the turning point and where he strategically turned up the burner in the whole sales pitch. He came in and told me that my roof was 40 squares, (its only 25) and that for the whole service it would cost me $36,000! I only have a 1400 square foot house worth $165,000 meaning my roof would be about 1/5 the value of my entire house! Then he said with the discounts and everything including BONUS gutters he would charge me (flips the notebook page) $30,000 but only if I made the deal TONIGHT. At this point I could not get him to leave fast enough, but wait, there is one more high pressure sales pitch that needed to be thrown. After the fake phone call to the boss he had another offer for me. If I just displayed their sign in my yard, let them take some pictures, and wrote a positive letter for them, they would take the price down to $26,000 but only if I signed the deal TONIGHT! You can not sleep on it, or discuss it with another person, or do some additional research, if you do not sign the contract tonight then you lose this $10,000 off special!! Of course they would do that because they are still overcharging for the project, I am still buying extra material for them, and they get there A review on this website so that they can use these tactics on somebody else. Even at their outrageous prices, this is the simple math of the deal: $36000/40square = $900 a square, $900*25square = $22,500 for my actual roof size at their current per square price of $900. Meaning they are still charging me an additional $3,500 Needless to say I denied, and politely sent him on his way. He didn't leave before insulting my intelligence about the roofing business and that I was passing on a great deal. Also, even throwing in the last ditch effort line of "What will it take to close the deal tonight?" The pure fact in the matter is, if you feel under pressure during a simple estimate to make a major purchase on a moments notice then you do not want that person working on your house. If you feel uncomfortable during a simple interview, just imagine how uncomfortable it will get when they got you over a barrel, say there are extra damages while your roof is off, and then start trying to charge you more. Hope that this helps someone.

Contractors showed up at the pre-mandated time (0700-0730). Work started before the 0800 start time. All work finished around the 1400 guest-imated time. Everything went very well.

Paul, Johnny and Stuart showed up on time or installed, re installed, wrapped all areas. Cleaned up and completed the job perfectly.

Paramount had 'Canvassers' going door to door in the area and told me I needed a new roof. I was actually planning to get a new roof and gutter system shortly, but I NEVER trust unsolicited 'Door to Door' contractors. A decent contractor doesn't need to go door to door. However, I thought it was a good place to start for just an estimate. I told them to send the salesman and they then INSISTED both my wife and I be present ( RED FLAG!). The salesman arrived so fast you could hear a sonic boom! He walked around the outside of the house, NEVER MEASURED, NEVER WENT ON THE ROOF and then started his pitch. He ' GUESSTIMATED' the roof and gutter measurements and said the 'FINAL MEASUREMENTS WOULD BE TAKEN 'AFTER' THE CONRACT WAS SIGNED! His 'Guesstimate' was for 30% MORE than actual roofing and %40 more than actual gutters (based upon the actual footage I paid a reputable roofer for the job.He really went through his paces.. Fake calls to his boss in clear earshot to us saying.. This will be a 'Showcase House. Let's do it at COST.. etc.. etc. OMG! I could hardly contain my laughter because it reminded me of the High Pressure Salemen in the movie 'Tin Men Men'. Before calling Paramount I would look on Angies list under roofing scams and decide for yourself if you want to contract with these HIGH PRESSURE people.

We had gone to a home show and enetered for a drawing to win free services from Paramount. Of course, we had to go through a sales presentation to go over their products. Since we had been looking to do the siding after finding some wood damage under our previous siding we set up an appointment. Justin came to the house and went over their information and we decided to go ahead with an estimate. We were very impressed with the Prestige siding, especially with the extra insultation that comes with it, and decided that even though the estimate was high we would go with them. We read other reviews and knew that Paramount is more expensive, but they are right up front telling you that in their presentation. What sold us, besides the product, was how well they back up what they sell. You can't sneeze at a lifetime warranty! We are firm believers in "You get what you pay for." The work started on 1/8 and they were done on 1/10 as promised. The supplies were delivered on-time on the 7th and we were told the crew would arrive between 8-9:00am. They arrived by 7:30am every morning and worked until dark with just a short lunch break. Everyone was easy to work with, polite and courteous. Clean-up was done before they left and the dumpster was picked up promptly on 1/11. No muss, no fuss. They do the job and do it well. We are VERY happy with the end result. Yes, we paid more but the job was done very professionally and done right the first time. We watched another house in our neighborhood get siding and it was 2 workers and took about 2 weeks. We had 6-7 workers at a time and done in 2-1/2 days. The quality of the product and the work is outstanding and the house looks terrific! They explained everything they were doing and didn't mind us asking questions along the way and any snag that happened was dealt with quickly and professionally. We will certainly use them in the future!

Arrived early, assisted us in removing the last blind blocks, did a great job. Very friendly and quick.

Workers & supervisor arrive on time 7:30 am, asked questions, removed tools from trucks, weather proof started stripping, disposal container arrived, then material for project came, everything went smoothly. Work was completed 3:30 pm. Chris cleaned up and few materials were left over. Supervisor placed in his truck. Payment made upon reviewing and inspecting by me.

When I saw all the bad reviews, I canceled the appointment. They are extremely obnoxious, they are exactly what the people said about harassing us. Harassing like crazy! Constantly calling us to reset an appointment. We literally told them that, because my husband is no jerk, we have told them that he is getting diploid, so we're moving, we're selling the house and we are leaving. And they still, a year later, are calling us to set up an appointment for windows. No matter how many times we've said we are leaving, we are moving, take us out of your list. They keep calling us. It is absolutely horrendous. They won't give you any kind of quote until they come out to sit down with you. So I set up the appointment, because I was by myself and they won't give you a quote without husband or spouse there. So I had to set up an appointment. And of course, after they left, I went and look them up and read a lot of bad reviews about them, for the work, the quality, the price, everything and how much they harassed the people. I didn't want to deal with that, so when my husband got home, I had him call and say why we are canceling. They wanted a reason why we are canceling, so he said we just got orders, we are shipping out of here and we are selling the house. So we are not going to need the windows. And he said that he will make a note of it, and I literally just got a call from them about two or three weeks ago again. They call every couple of months. It's awful, I feel like I will never get rid of them.

Completely unsatisfactory behavior from the company's salespeople.
