They did an excellent job from start to finish. Jeff and Greg were ease to work with. The work was done in a timely manner and according to the specifications and budget. They were quick to respond and were very professional. The foreman was cordial and listened to minor suggestions and implemented them. They paid attention to detail and were very careful in performing the work. The patio looks beautiful and professional.

They did a tremendous job! Bottom line is you really do get what you pay for. They are not the cheapest quote you will receive but they are extremely professional and deliver beautiful, quality work on time. I would rather pay a little more and have the job done properly by a company that takes pride in their work…once!

Outstanding, Jeff is the most knowledge masonry contract that i have delt with. When he came out to give me a quote, he knew the type/style/who manufactured the brick. The manufacture had gone out of business and he went to 5 different suppliers to find a brick that closely matched the existing brick. It was an outstanding match. His crew was on time, worked efficiently and did a great clean up job. If you dont get a quote from Jeff you will miss out on one of the best professionals in his area.

Mottern Masonry resurfaced my front stoop and replaced my front walkway in Summer, 2016. I had an outstanding experience from beginning to end with Jeff and his crew. There was no comparison when judging their cost estimate and scope of work with the other company I had contacted. Mottern Masonry took no shortcuts and, best of all, the crew leader stopped work and advised me when facing the unforeseen challenges that always seem to pop up in big jobs. In the end, the job was completed on time at the quoted price, and with the high quality of craftsmanship and materials Jeff had described. I could not be more pleased with the experience.

They did an excellent job. They removed the old in a couple of days. Then set the forms for the concrete pouring. The concrete was terra cotta color and stamped. They reinforced the concrete with steel. They added additional coloring on top and let it set for a few days. Then the power cleaned it and next day they sealed it. The work was very professional and timely.

I got three bids on a new walkway, new entry and brick repair. Mottern Masonry was simply amazing. Totally professional, fast and excellent work. We went on vacation and came back and everything was done to spec. These people really know what the are doing. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I wish every contractor was like this.

From start to finish the experience was excellent. About a year ago we worked with them to resurface our front walkway and so when it came time to build a patio and fireplace we immediately made the call. They came out immediately to talk through plans and ideas. Shortly after deciding on a design and materials they got to work. The crew on site was polite, hardworking and communicating at every critical point during the process. We couldn't be more pleased with the final results. Jeff spec'd out a specific plan and executed it with beautiful results. He recommended going with natural stone and I wanted a thermal cut for a bit more formal look. I am extremely happy with my new patio and my neighbors all like it too. It is so much better than my deck and absolutely worth the investment. Work was done quickly and very professionally. The picture shows you how nice the finished patio really looks and adds a lot of style to our back yard.

I am in love with the job they did; it looks beautiful. It is a really professional job. I was told it would take five days and it did. They finished on schedule. Before starting anything, Jeff, the owner, came to the house with the project manager and, using orange paint, laid out exactly what we wanted. During that process, he readily made adjustments as needed to accommodate our vision..

I wasn't sure if it could be repaired, or if we needed a whole new patio. Jeff gave us a quote to do the repair work, and then a discount if we had the work done by the end of the month and with only 2 days notice. He speaks and works very efficiently! We are so happy with the results. They did exactly what I wanted, and within a short period of time. The patio looks beautiful and good as new. I highly recommend Jeff and his crew.

Mottern Masonry installed a concrete sidewalk in the front of our home. This sidewalk connected the driveway to the two front porches. It looks great! The two porches were installed by Mottern a couple of years ago, and they are Pennsylvania Blue Flagstone surfaces with natural stone sides. They did an excellent job on both the porches and the sidewalk. They are the only firm I would hire for masonry work. They are meticulous, prompt, clean, and professional. Mottern Masonry is trustworthy and will do what they say they will do. The job was accomplished portions of 4 days; trenching, preparing forms and rebar, concrete pour, and removal of forms and cleanup. I am very satisfied with the work, and would highly recommend Mottern Masonry.

Excellent work! Jeffrey Mottern came to inspect the patio (which was overgrown with weeds and bamboo) as scheduled, explained what his crew would do, answered all our questions, and sent us a reasonable estimate. Our backyard area was about 2/3 brick patio and 1/3 grass (high weeds), with a flagstone walkway from the brick patio to the backyard fence door (this is a townhouse). We agreed with Jeff's recommendation to cover the entire backyard with the new patio. The crew arrived on time and quickly removed the weeds and old brick patio. Over the next few days, after preparing the entire backyard surface, they placed the re-bar, laid the concrete slab, with a proper slope so that water would run away from house and not collect on patio. At no extra charge, they proposed (and we agreed to ) running the cable provider's wires through a PVC pipe and embedding the pipe in the concrete! No more unsightly wires! They carefully set the bluestone slabs in a bed of mortar. Throughout, the crew behaved courteously and professionally. When they were finished with the patio, they carefully created a walkway outside the fence door using the old flagstone. They cleaned also the patio and outside area. Jeff told us that over the next few weeks, the crew would inspect the patio, cleaning off any dust. One morning shortly thereafter, we noticed that a storm the previous night had littered the patio with leaves and tree branch twigs; that evening, after work, we were going to sweep up the debris and found, to our delight, that Jeff's crew had come that day while we were at work, and cleaned up the patio! Highly recommend Mottern Masonry Design! They are professional, courteous, and did a wonderful job for us. We will hire them, again, when our front brick walkway and stoop needs re-pointing. We will also recommend them to our neighbors, who, having seen our patio, are now considering having their patios re-done. Thank you, Mottern Masonry Design!!!

Mottern Masonry are skilled artisans who take pride in their work! They replaced our existing stoop, threshold and walkway which has significant elevation changes. Their design included easier transitions to support mobility issues.They provided excellent customer service and outstanding results! It was a pleasure to work with this company!

The team at Mottern Masonry was exceptional at providing ideas and recommendations for creating a new pool deck for us. We had to remove an existing pool deck and replace and expand it. Those who worked the job were efficient, hard working, and easy to communicate with. The owner of the company stopped by regularly to check in on the job and make sure we were happy with the progress. He gave solid recommendations on color and shape for the concrete, too. Despite our rainy Seattle weather, they made wise decisions about when it would be best to pour the concrete for the optimal results. In addition to the concrete work, they also finished the landscaping by adding black dirt and seeding grass around the pool. We were happy to have had this great service! Overall, the pool was done quickly and turned out beautifully. We couldn't be happier!

Great communication. Any concerns I had were quickly addressed. We were not present when the work was done since the house is currently being rented out. When they were done, they returned to the house to make sure everything was cleaned up. Our renters were happy with the contractors that did the work. The finished product is wonderful!! Makes the front of our house look amazing. Would definitely use this company again!

Enjoyed working with Jeff and his crew - all were professional and courteous. As the new pool deck is different in shape, size and appearance, Jeff helped my wife and I visualize the final footprint and how it would work within our landscape environment. The work went smoothly and as efficiently as the weather permitted. I was quite pleased that Jeff did not "rush" to completion. He and his team moved through the process to achieve the best results, from pour to sealing, as the weather allowed. Most importantly, Jeff kept me apprised along the way. Jeff was also very clear about the Idiosyncrasies associated with working in stamped concrete. Clean-up was also handled very well and the team allowed me to self-direct in a couple of areas. All-in-all we are very pleased with Mottern.
