Jeff and his team were fantastic from start to finish. They installed a stone patio on a concrete pad - they were the most responsive, cost effective, and highest quality of all of the firms that we interviewed for the job. Highly recommend!

Workers came when promised & finished the job in 2 days. Workers were professional. All unused material was pickup & removed leaving the patio & walkway site clean. I would say the quality, workmanship & price was excellent & could not be beaten. I would recommend Mottern Masonry Design to anyone & have done so to one of my friends.

I received several estimates for the job. Jeff showed up on schedule and went over the job. Their price was neither the highest nor the lowest. I selected Mottern because I felt that they were going to do the work in a proper fashion. The crew showed up on schedule and completed the work in 3 days. There were no problems; the new sidewalk looked great. About 2 weeks after completing the work the crew came back to clean some of the cement dust form the sidewalk which made it look even better. I am completely satisfied with the job.

Mr. Mottern fully explained the work and was present when the crew began. Mr. Cesar Ramos and his crew were prompt, courteous, neat., and communicative. We alerted both our neighbors that work was in progress and they approved the temporary stowage of tools and equipment near their houses. We met our goal of getting the house ready for visiting family and friends, with days to spare.

Project was done flawlessly and timely (in spite of periods of rain). Crew was very responsive to concerns about yard potential yard damage and other cosmetic concerns. Caeser and Jose were extremely professional and cooperative during all phases of this project, which involved some very heavy flagstone. Very pleased with outcome and highly recommend this company. Mottern replaced our retaining wall this week. They did a great job, first putting in a footer, and then including a drainage system that will prevent water from pooling behind the wall. The wall looks great and we are pleased.

This is the third job Mottern Masonry Design has done for me. In the past they have done a stamped concrete driveway, and a carport slab. I have had many compliments on my driveway. As a former contracting office for the federal government I almost always solicit competitive bids for any major jobs I want done. But when it comes to concrete or masonry work I always call Mottern Masonry Design. They have always done excellent work for me. They provide professional, expert, and quality service. I am sure I will be calling on them again in the future.

We just had our second extensive repair job performed by Mottern Masonry, and it turned out much better than I had expected. The 47 year old home belonged to my Father-in-law and needed a great deal of masonry repair after years of exterior neglect. Jeff Mottern's crew, led by Salvatore, did an outstanding job repairing brick where possible and replacing a great deal of unrepairable brick. Other than seeing new mortar lines you can't tell there had been damage. Salvatore is a true mason and craftsman.

Mottern Masonry recently built a beautiful blue stone patio for us and we could not be happier. The crew was polite, friendly and very professional. The crew paid close attention to detail ensuring the job was done exactly right. The 19'X 22' patio took about a week the build and the cost was reasonable and exactly as quoted. The walkway and patio with sitting wall are beautiful. The did a beautiful job selecting the stone and installing it. The result looks very professional and adds value to our home. Previous walkway made of bricks and stone laid in sand was a tripping hazard and was separating from the front stoop. Mottern replaced with stone set in concrete; eliminating uneven steps leading up to the house. I highly recommend Jeff Mottern and his team at Mottern Masonry.

Excellent. Jeff slotted our project in a couple of weeks early than he forecast. His workers were punctual and courteous, they finished the job on time, and they asked lots of questions to make sure there were no misunderstandings. We have been getting lots of compliments about how good the new walkway looks (including from some hard-to-please contractors *we* know).

Mottern Masonry did a amazing job. I had my back patio and front walkway/porch replaced with stamped concrete. The team was very professional and always on time. Jeff, the owner, was professional, responsive and timely. I needed advice on the structure of the long 25 foot wall, and the walls adjoining the back gate. He showed me where the structure was crumbling on the 25 foot wall, but where the structure on the walls adjoining the back gate was still strong and secure. I appreciated that he was very clear what could be repaired and what needed to be replaced and was not keen to just go about replacing everything. I received the estimate the next day, and then discussed this further by phone with Jeff to make sure we had all the details correct. The crew who did the work were thoroughly professional, courteous and made sure to clean up and make things tidy at night before they left. Jeff kept me informed throughout the process, particularly when there were rain days when he knew the crew would not be able to continue the work. He gave me an estimate when they would return and indeed they finished the work on time as promised. They did a great job --very precise work. Jeff was an expert in how he matched the bricks of the newly constructed wall with the brick color of the older remaining wall. I would happily use their services again.

Mottern's whole process was outstanding. Jeff wrote up a competitive estimate that was thorough and easy to understand. Then his team arrived on time and completed the job promptly. The team was professional and easy to work with and I'm extremely satisfied with the quality of the finished product.

Jeff Mottern came out and provided an estimate. He arrived early, after calling to see if that was okay. Once he saw the chimney, he guessed the age of the house pretty much exactly and let me know immediately what needed to be done to restore the chimney. It was clearly evident that Jeff and Mottern Masonry Design were experienced experts at doing this type of work. He said that they would try to match the brick the best they could, but there might be some difference in color. Jeff explained the process, provided an estimate and start date. He let me know ahead of time that any rainy days would, understandably, push the schedule back that number of days. After a few rainy days, Jeff called me and let me know when they would be starting the job. Jeff and his team showed up a little ahead of time. The work was completed on schedule. Mottern Masonry Design did an outstanding job in craftsmanship, professionalism and quality. The brick color and mortar match so closely to the original that it is difficult to tell the new from the old. It is amazing how much the rebuilt chimney improves the look of the house. Overall experience was Excellent. I would definitely hire Mottern Masonry Design again.

The Mottern team was professional, timely and meticulous. They started the project on the day they indicated without any delays. They arrived every day on schedule and worked diligently throughout the day. With 2 dogs and kids in the home, the Mottern team was respectful, clean and conscientious. They were the most reasonably priced and I have no doubt, did a superior job to other vendors in the market. They are truly specialists in masonry and take pride in their work. We could not be more pleased. They were very detailed with the layout of the stones, placing each one and then measuring the grade to ensure proper drainage. The project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget. We are so pleased with Mottern that we have asked them to assist with additional projects.

Prior to the start of this job I obtained multiple quotes from local masonry and landscapers. Jeff's professionalism was evident the minute we started our discussions on what I was envisioning. There were several things that separated Jeff from the other contractors. As simple as it sounds, first and foremost Jeff brought samples of options, colors, sizes, etc... This allowed me to see a sample up against my house. Along with that, Jeff took the time to layout possible designs, sizes, and dimensions allowing me to see what the design could be. Finally, once worked commenced, Jeff and his team were efficient, polite and considerate. Once completed, they left the area as clean as it was when they arrived. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
