We had a fantastic experience working with Affordable Lawn Sprinklers and Lighting. From our first meeting with Reed, to the follow-up by Joe, to the technicians who actually dug the trenches and installed the system -- everyone we dealt with was professional, knowledgeable and polite. Any question we had was promptly answered via e-mail, and any person who ever came to our house, whether it was to quote the work or do the installation, was on-time and thorough. We never felt that we were being over-sold or told we needed more than we did, and the price seemed very reasonable for the work we were having done. We will definitely use Affordable Lawn Sprinklers and Lighting when we install an irrigation system in our front yard, and we will most certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, professional lawn irrigation company.

The staff at Affordable Lawn Sprinklers and Lighting provided excellent customer service, which includes scheduling the estimate and installation, addressing consumer questions or concerns, marking the property for sprinkler head placement, installation, and explaining how the system works including future maintenance. We received several quotes from other irrigation companies and decided to go with Affordable based on reputation and price. We highly recommend Affordable!

Affordable came out and gave us a free estimate that included a booklet that explained their system and the process, answered all of our questions and went through the types of sprinklers for each zone and type of bed or grass area that they recommended and why. We were very impressed with their customer service from that first visit and the information was so much more thorough than the other estimate we had gotten. They were on time and stayed until our last question was answered. As we were having landscaping done, they agreed to coordinate with our landscaper and made sure that the work was done before sod was placed. They did an excellent job and we have been so glad we made the decision to go with their services. They also came back a week after installation to go through the entire system with us, check and adjust it during the process, and left instructions with us to make sure we were able to easily operate our system. Finally, the first year maintenance/fall check on our system was included and they have already called to schedule that with us. All of their staff members were easy to deal with and respectful of our home and yard. We highly recommend Affordable.

Affordable was the only company that we consulted willing to complete a minimal installation for just a section of landscaping in our yard rather than providing irrigation for the entire yard. They were prompt and speedy on the day of installation. We have had no issues with the irrigation thus far. There was a little snafu on the day of the scheduled final walk through when the rep went to an incorrect address, but they were really flexible about rescheduling the next day at a convenient time for us. We wouldn't hesitate to use Affordable again.

Affordable Lawn & Sprinklers installed our sprinkler system years ago. They were much more affordable then and over the years their prices have gone up substantially. That said, we use them for the turn on and off services in the spring and fall, but we no longer buy the maintenance contract because it is more than $400/year. Other than that, they are a good company and are very responsive. They provide the requested service promptly.

If I was going to use a company, this is who I would use. I just don't know if we can do this based on what our future plans are. The quoted price was about $4,000 and was very reasonable for their work. The experience was wonderful. They were very personable, extremely knowledgeable and understood my area in Northern Virginia. I thought they were a very good company and I liked their reviews on Angie's List. The owner came out to do our quote and he was fantastic. I had done research on Angie's List so I kind of knew who was going to be coming out here. He was very good. Every time I have called with a question he has called me right back and they they were right on time for our appointment. They are very professional.

Installation was smooth and professional. Joe Clemens stayed in constant communication with me throughout the entire scheduling, installation, and follow-up process. Our technician just performed his final follow-up visit, even installing two additional heads to cover areas that the original installation wasn't thoroughly covering. Wonderful, professional company that I would definitely use again!

They did a great job. The work was done quickly and efficiently with an effort to minimize damage to the lawn and landscape. Other than a minor issue with the timer on the lighting that has been resolved, everything has worked very well and we are very pleased. Would call them again in a heartbeat.

This company was the best choice from start to finish. They were very organized with scheduling, even sending a google calendar link to my email. Joe, who works in the office was very professional constantly communicating with me through the process, from scheduling to any issues or questions I had regarding the system, pre and post installation. For the estimate, Ryan, one of the owners, came to the house to measure and draw and plan up. He sat down with me and clearly spelled out everything. I decided to go with them after a few estimates. Their price was about $500 lower, and their level of customer service far exceeded the others. After deciding to go with them, they squeezed me in their schedule fairly quickly because I was leaving town and having grass work done immediately upon my return. Installation went great, the crew was polite and they returned the next day to finish up. Upon my return from vacation, they scheduled an employee named Werner to come out for my follow up. The company said they always schedule a follow up about a week out because the system can be a bit overwhelming and they want to make sure the customer is comfortable with everything, and that everything is working properly. Werner helped me to understand the system so easily. He walked me through all functions and we ran every zone to make sure all sprinkler heads worked properly and were spraying the right area. He adjusted each one as necessary and left me with a tool to do so if needed. All in all, I have not one bad thing to say about the company. It's a lot of money to spend, but worth every penny if you've ever spent hours watering. And the company is sensitive to that. I would recommend them to anyone and may even use them myself for landscape lighting at some point in the future.

He gave us an Angie's List discount, walked around and we told him exactly what we wanted, drew up a picture for us to visualize, was great at describing it and we are going to be using him from now on. He is also taking the water from the main water line as well instead of water from the house.

Slight glitch in the scheduling process; I submitted a request through the web site, received an auotmated reply that I'd be called within 24-48 hours, but didn't hear anything for several days. I called the office and was able to get on the schedule for the following week for an 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. window. I thought someone was just coming for an estimate, but they sent an excellent technician (Edgardo?) who arrived around 9:30. He was able to isolate the issue and repair it within about an hour at an obviously reasonable price. I'd definitely use these folks again.

When this process began, three companies were contacted. Two of the companies responded very quickly, of the two, only Affordable lawn sprinklers returned my follow-up calls in a timely manner. This to me showed their professionalism and a commitment to get my business and complete the work. Due to their heavy schedule of installations, it took a good amount of time before the installation could be performed. Although, I wasn't pleased with the wait, it was taken as a fact of life and not held against them. My contact person stay in communications with me via email. When the installation date got pushed back several times, due to weather, the company fired off an email explaining the situation, this was great. The day of installation, the company arrived early in the morning as they had indicated, started the process and finished by the afternoon. Several days later the companys' field foreman met with me to inspect and review the operations of the system. During our inspection, we did detect several things that were incorrect and two things needing a different approach. Several of the items were taken care of immediately and to others were taken care of, later that day. I was very pleased with their effort to make sure the system was perfect. We watch the system function for several weeks and discovered another issue that we brought to their attention. That very day they had somebody on my premises taking care of my concerns. Overall, we give this company an 'A'. This is what we would expect to happen dealing with any company. The world is not a perfect place...... things happen.......things get corrected. I wouldn't call my installation a perfect one,but as I stated earlier, it's not a perfect world. Everything with our irrigation system is functioning perfectly. The Crew arrived on time and they did an excellent job. They were very professional and we are extremely pleased with our new LED Landscape lights.

The team delivered perfectly and even went above and beyond. They did everything listed on the work order plus a few extra items that weren't included. This included replacing busted heads, optimizing the spray patterns, capping redundant heads, adding new landscape lighting and added a new lighting control box. They pointed out additional items that I may want to consider at a future date but did not even attempt to do an upsell -- in fact, recommended I get the most out of the existing equipment before replacing. The also rewired one lighting segment that was overloaded. In a classy touch, they look at all the bulbs in the existing lighting and replaced them. All the way around, it was high quality service.

We contacted the company early in the year to get a quote before our house was done being built. They gave us a very competitive quote (the best one we received) and told us they would honor the early-bird discount even if we decided to get the sprinklers installed later in the summer. We did end up getting them installed later and they did honor their original quote. We had to wait about 6 weeks to get them installed which for the peak season, we fully expected. On the day of the install, the machine that installs the lines broke so they had to come back the following week and finish up. The machine also leaked a bit of oil on our grass which they took care of and paid for to get fixed. We were pleased with the high level of customer service offered for an obvious accident. After a couple of weeks, a rep came out and demonstrated how the schedule system works for the unit in the garage. From start to finish, we have been very pleased with this company. We hope to use them for a lighting package in the future.

I would highly recommend Affordable Lawn Sprinklers and will consider them for upcoming lighting work. - Communication was great - Quick response to get a design and detailed estimate. Tried to get several estimates and many companies are very un-professional with responding to requests. ALS was always on time for all appointments and provided what the HOA required for approval. - Cost - Not the cheapest, but very cost competitive (more than the cheapest but much less than the most expensive). The knowledge of the owners is impressive and gave them the edge. The day of the install went smoothly. The interior plumbing was done neatly and properly done. Staff took the time to answer any questions.

Affordable is a wonderful company to deal with and deserve the highest possible rating in my view. The install could not have been better. They communicate very well, and follow up to insure your happy. After the install Werner came back to check I was happy and take me thru a walk thru on the system. Everything was fantastic with these guys. They showed up when they said they would, and called if something came up. They worked quickly and with attention to detail. I am pretty picky, and they rolled with it and were responsive to any concerns I had. I cannot say enough good things about these guys and have unequivocally recommended them to many of my friends.

It all went very well. As their name says, they really are affordable. In our case, quite a bit more affordable than the competition. We got a proposal from from another company that recommended a seven-zone system for our combination of lawn and plantings that, as you would imagine, came in at more than twice the cost of the two-zone system that Affordable suggested. A couple months later, the two zone system is working out just fine for our needs. Also, another neighbor that had their irrigation system installed by a different firm said that we should be prepared for our yard to get totally destroyed during the installation process. Well, the work Affordable did was so neat (and quick!) that I had to poke around and ask the job foreman to show me where all the sprinkler heads and drippers were because their work was done so carefully. Other great customer service stories: During the final walk through a few weeks after installation, we found one of the pop up sprayers had been damaged. Most likely post-installation by someone backing over it down my driveway. The inspector quickly had it replaced. No questions asked and no extra fee. I also asked how to modify the layout if I were to add more plants some day. Instead of telling me what materials I would need to buy or that I should call them first, they instead gave me a length of hose and a bunch of connectors off their truck that I could save and use later if I should need it. Similarly, they provide winterizing and spring turn on services for an additional fee, but they told me that if I'm at all handy, I should be able to handle the spring service by myself instead. I'm sure they would be quite capable of catering to the more extravagant design and service expectations of a luxury homeowner. But for a regular budget conscious homeowner like me who just wants to keep his plants from frying in the summer, they were happy to accommodate me and showed me the same professionalism and quality they would have given their higher end clients. I'd be more than happy to recommend them again.

They did a great job on our sprinkler installation. Clean and tidy. Everything works great.

Alvero and Chris were on time. They were knowledgeable and precise. I showed them the problems in my 7 year old system and they began replacing wires, lights and bulbs as well as connections. Connections have improved greatly since I installed this system. In an hour and a half, they had checked voltage and amps for each light and repaired/replaced what was needed. They advised me about new technology in low voltage systems and how to adjust lighting loads by lowering wattage bulbs due to the long strings I had. They were fast and accurate in what they did and said. I will definately call them when I need to finally change out or add another system.

They were very responsive and timely from the quote to final walkthrough. They explained everything to me and why certain zones had certain types of sprinklers. I am extremely pleased with their thoroughness.

Everything went very well, everyone was timely, professional and courteous. Andy, the estimator, made me very comfortable with the plan, and the workers delivered seamlessly. The only reason I had to give a B grade is because the workers did leave some construction debris around our yard. I thought this a little sloppy, but overall I was very happy with their work.

System was installed within the time frame promised, even with the constant rain we have had this year. Lawn was minimally disrupted and system works beautifully. I chose to have the rain sensor installed, at the suggestion of technician, as there is no need to run sprinkler if it has rained 1.5 inches. All went well, technician came back out in in the promised two weeks to explain how to use system to me, and fix anything that was not working correctly. When he finished showing me the system, he reminded me of warranty and the fall shut down to keep system in good working condition.
