AFFORDABLE LAWN SPRINKLERS & LIGHTING

Simply put, I would recommend Affordable Lawn Sprinkler and Lighting to everyone. The quality of the work, the price and the services we received from them were excellent! They installed sprinklers and lighting around our 100+ year old home so as you can imagine there were lots of challenges. They also had to complete some of the work in bad weather conditions. Affordable not only met every one of our expectations, they far exceeded them. Joe Clemens and all the Affordable staff we dealt with were extremely professional and very responsive to all our needs. The design they came up with for the sprinkler system addressed all our irrigation needs and their lighting design really showcases the attributes of our home. Our neighbors have all complimented us on the great lighting design. The installation process went extremely well too. Affordable staff showed up when promised, on time and completed the work on schedule. It was also evident throughout all the work that their field crews take great pride in their work. I really appreciated that both the office and field crew staff kept me informed every step of the way and were proactive in calling me when bad weather conditions looked like they might impact the project. We love Affordable's final work product and highly recommend them.

THey did not recommend an irregation system because our town water pressure is below the minimum required for a sprinkler system; very honest people.

We were pleased with Affordable Lawn Sprinklers & Lighting's installation of outdoor lights at our home. The placement of the lights and overall plan were well designed. The installation also went well. The company had a large crew that showed up on time and got the job done in just a few hours. The power sources for each light (including those on the roof) were well concealed.

The Technician did not cap the sprinkler heads and the driveway was expanded. In the fall, I called Affordable to have my sprinkler system winterized. The technician (different one) said that sprinkler heads were exposed under my new driveway...the same that I outlined in the previous Spring. Mistakes happen...I will call Reed and ask him to repair. After being bounced from Chris to Office Manager and not getting results, I demanded to speak with the owner Reed (who I signed the contract and wrote the check to upon purchase). He reluctantly got on and told me that I would need to pay to have this repaired.... uh, I would need to pay for Affordable's mistake. Reed when on to say that it could have been the Asphalt Pavers fault. Reed than said that he would repair at cost and call me back the following week. That was two months ago. I am disappointed and expect to have this mistake repaired free of charge.

They were very professional, excellent, and good on follow through.

They installed a sprinkler system in my front and back yards for approximately half the cost quoted by the others that I checked. while it is true that one of the other providers offers a 5 year warranty to the 3 years offered by Affordable, the upfront cost was extremely attractive with Affordable sprinklers. The service was excellent and I am very happy.

The installation of the irrigation system went very well. They performed the work on a timely basis and completed it in a reasonable timeframe. The supervisor walked me though the placement of the irrigation zones in my yard and asked for feedback or any changes. I was able to make adjustments where necessary placing the watering heads where I thought they would be most effective.After the installation they ran through the controls as a short training session instead of just leaving the manual for me to read.

Affordable Lawn Sprinklers and Lighting installed a six zone lawn irrigation system with an optional fertilizer tank. Joe Clemens promptly contacted me via email as requested and we scheduled a free estimate. They were very flexible and we scheduled for a Saturday visit. Their senior technician was named Alvaro. He arrived promptly, was very knowledgeable of his products and services, and designed a six zone irrigation system for my yard. He was very flexible and was willing to run the water line and place the valves in a less exposed area at no extra plumbing cost. There were several questions I had about the company that Alvaro could not answer, but otherwise was very professional and represented the company well. I contacted Joe Clemens again via email with several questions regarding the company, I was informed all their installation and maintenance crews are full time employees of Affordable Lawn Sprinklers & Lighting and they used no contractors or day laborers. On the day of the installation, the crew lead slightly changed the irrigation plan which concerned me. I contacted Joe Clemens and he confirmed small plan changes were normal. Over all the installation went well and the crew completed within the allotted time. We have very rocky clay soil, and in a couple cases, the crew left sharp stones jutting out where they buried the pipe. But otherwise, the installation was very clean. As of November 24th, I've now had my sprinkler system for one full growing season. The quality of the system and it's reliability have been flawless. You can still see some of the areas in the lawn where they buried the pipe due to how they filled in with all of the stones and debris as mentioned above. I was able to dig up some of the stones this year and hope to get it all cleaned up next spring. At this point, my lawn has never looks better!

All went well. The technician who came for se4ason turn-off thoroughly reviewed the system with me, showed me how to work it by encouraging me to turn dials and observe results, plus reminded me of the ease and reasons for calling the office if I had any questions.

It went great! They completed 7 zones in one day and provided us with all brand new heads, new copper pipes, a new system box, rain sensor, and backflow preventer. They came back several weeks later to do a thorough walk through of the system with us, teaching us how to use it. They also checked the coverage, adjusted heads, and took all the time we needed to answer questions and concerns. As a bonus, they even included a free winterization and spring turn on package! My husband and I are delighted by the new system and the excellent customer service this company has provided thus far. We highly recommend Affordable Lawn Sprinklers & Lighting because you get excellent quality and service for a bargain price.

I went with Affordable Lawn Sprinklers (ALS) after reading glowing reviews on Angie's List. Before I made the call for a quote, I spent quite some time on their site reading info and watching all their videos. Ryan Muniz came out to give an estimate and explained the process of installing a sprinkler system. He was polite, courteous and knowledgeable. He provided me with a quote and there was absolutely no pressure to commit. He left leaving us with a "good vibe". As a result, we decided to commit a few days later and submitted our deposit of $1500. By the way, Mr. Muniz applied a few discounts including an Angie's List member discount of $250 and a 3% discount for paying via check. A team of 4 or 5 installers arrived at the scheduled day and time (that was a good sign). The install took about 5 hours. We have 7 zones and a total of 39 sprinkler heads (4 different types of heads). During the installation, the installers literally turn your lawn inside out. But, they do their best to patch up and return the lawn to it's original condition. Eventually, the lawn will be better than ever with the help of proper watering from the sprinkler system. It's been 4 weeks since ALS installed my system and most of the "scars" of installation have already healed. However, some parts are worse than others and it was suggested that grass seed be applied in early spring. I'm not too happy with the yearly charge of $105 for turn-off service and $75 charge for testing the backflow valve (required for Loudoun County residents). I would not and will not pay for turn-on service in the early spring. Turn-on service is $105 as well and basically involves turning on water main valves (easy!). I am looking forward to next season to see how effective this sprinkler system will be. ALS has been great to deal with. My phone calls, emails and texts have been promptly answered. I highly recommend ALS.

It went well from initial design session to installation. ?One of the owners came to my home and provided a design and price in under and hour. ?We made the decision to forward the next day and within 2 weeks we were on the scheduled. ?They installation went smoothly and they have been prompt to respond to requests to tweak the light placement.

As usual, they scheduled the appointment quickly and very much at my convenience. They emailed me to confirm the appointment and called on the day of the appointment to let me know they were on their way. They came to the door to tell us they were there, and carefully explained what they would be doing. They then checked in with us before leaving to let us know that the work was complete. This company is amazingly customer oriented, from the moment you call until the work is completed.

Excellent! Will use them again. On time within the appointment window; speedy service; very kind technician; less expensive than other local companies. Look forward to seeing them in the Spring!

The company did a great job starting with the estimate. They carefully explained the options and details of how the system would be laid out. The installation took one day and worked correctly from the start. They then followed up with another visit two weeks later to see if there were any issues. Very professional and a great job!

I had called our old company to come evaluate and repair a leaking valve, but they wouldn't come out for over 6 weeks. Our old company installed the system back in the late 1980s, but I think they were bought out because their service has been spotty and very pricey. I searched Angies's List and called Affordable Sprinklers based on the reviews. They came out in 4 days, fixed the problem, checked all of the sprinkler heads, and did the shut off/winterization all for $150. Alvaro was the service tech, and he was knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. I will use them again for our sprinkler system needs.

Affordable was great to work with. They came out and listened to my needs. I wanted to add zones for potted plants, some of which were not in the most convenient places, and they worked with me to meet those needs. They also added a place to include a future zone so that it wouldn't cost as much to add it in the future. They were very professional and completed all of the work in one day. Someone came back on a different day to make sure the system was working properly and answer any questions. I would definitely use them again.

These guys did a great job. They gave a fair estimate, were always in communication with me up to the install, and did solid work installing the system. They were punctual on the install date, did quality work, and I had no issues. I would highly recommend them to others.

Affordable Lawn Sprinklers & Lighting was recommended to me by the installer of the walkway. A day after contacting the company, Ryan Muniz, one of the owners, came to assess the project and sent me an estimate for the job. My point of contact after Ryan was Joe Clemens. I am happy with them, no problem in communication, very straight forward. They are punctual and very professional. When the walkway was installed, it was discovered that I had 1 busted sprinkler head. Affordable fixed it for me for no additional cost. I will have them reconfigure my sprinkler system next spring. The job took a day to complete, on the the 17th of Sept. I talked to Joe Clemens for another meeting to show us how to work the timer for the lights. He could not schedule the meeting soon enough before I was supposed to leave for a vacation trip that would take me out of the country for 3 weeks. He scheduled the meeting to take place on the day after I came back from the trip. That meant that payment was also to be made that day, 3 weeks after job completion. I appreciated the trust and the time I was given to evaluate the layout and design of the project. Overall I am happy and I look forward to working with them again next spring for the reconfiguration of my sprinkler system.

My wife and I were very impressed with every aspect of Affordable's process. My initial contact with them was through their highly informative website, which answered many of the questions we had. Through it I requested a packet of more detailed information, which also resulted in a call from one of their two co-founders. In due course he visited our home and gave us a detailed estimate for an irrigation system which would meet our needs - and comply with our local ordinances. This estimate included a much-appreciated drawing showing where each type of sprinkler head and other equipment would be placed. We selected Affordable's quote from the various estimates we had received, and had no trouble scheduling the installation at a mutually convenient date and time. On the day of installation, everything proceeded exactly as we had been told. The installation team was very professional and a pleasure to deal with. They asked about in-ground facilities we had in addition to those which had been marked by Miss Utility, and explained everything as they went along. They treated our numerous bushes and flowering plants with great care, and left the yard clean and tidy after testing that everything worked as we wanted. An inspector from the County subsequently gave us his formal approval of the installation. The final step in the process was a visit a couple of weeks later by an Affordable technician who came to check that we were happy with the system and to answer any questions we might have had in the light of our experience with it. He also certified that the backflow valve was working correctly (as required annually by our County).

The owner of the company arrived promptly for the estimate and was very personable and professional. It was a competitive bid. My only problem with them was that they did not install the system until three weeks after the initial date they gave me. I had altered travel plans to be back when they said they were coming. I was postponed twice, once on the morning they were to install because it was raining. But, they postponed me for another week! The day they came, they arrived when they said they would. They installed the system without any problem and did minimal damage to the yard.

The Company provides superior service and the best product with affordable price, because the owner Reed and Joe are both employees and work hard to eliminate the overhead costs. They responded my initial inquiry promptly and Reed came out look at the lot and gave an estimate with detail drawing at the spot! Joe scheduled the service as I wished but later due to construction delay I ended up reschedule three times, and every month Joe called me to check if its time to schedule the installation for us. their service level is superior! The installation was smooth. shortly after installation, Joe called and scheduled an engineer walk through. the engineer is very knowledgeable about the system and spend over an hour to demo how to use the system and answered all my questions. I love this sprinkler system! I?d strongly recommend the company to my friends.
